    Thanks for this presentation. Helpful. Took my cartridge apart and couldn't put it back together until I saw this video then I was able to. I wanted to clean rather then replace my cartridge because all the stores were closed and I didn't have time to wait.

    How exactly does this ceramic element filter the water? The water is allowed to mix before the metal mesh so I'm not sure. Thanks for any help

      It's not a filter

      The metal keeps debris out the aerator so it doesn't clog

      I agree with your comments. I tried making a small modification to the ceramic element and ended up needing to replace it. Turns out there was another filter housed in my water line that was causing the problem. Your video was invaluable in troubleshooting!

    We have a112.18.1 Kohler. No leaks. The hot water just trickles out. Cold water flows fine. Any idea what could be causing this and how to fix it? Thanks

    I think for the trouble of taking it apart. I would rather spend £5 and to replace with brand new.
