The One Ring is an interesting card. Outside of the most aggressive mono-red decks, it's hard to imagine any situation where I'd be disappointed to draw it. At worst, it fogs for a turn and draws 3 cards for one life.

Bring Vilis and double your draws
Palantir of Orthanc is pretty good too... Scry 2 + draw very turn for free - but the opponent has the option of risking taking damage but denying the draw -- but the risk keeps getting higher so it will become a draw engine. Now quite as strong as the one ring - but does not cause life loss (but can cause self mill - but in lot of black green decks that's an upside - yes?)

First game is actually recorded on location in Cirith Ungol, that’s why CGB is so dark
Going spider tribal with shelob works because you basically create a wall of attack and I get tokens of your cards to play against you. Even a little 1/1 will kill and copy their biggest baddest creature. They won't attack you as long as they can't remove shelob. Then you add in a bunch of fight spells and pick which of their creatures you want tokens of while swinging with shelob. Add roaming throne and other token doubters and your making multiple copies of each of those tokens
Please keep this LOTRs histroic brawl content going for as long as you can CGB loving these

I live in the same time zone as him. He uploaded at 1 pm, then 2 pm, and now suddenly started uploading at noon for some reason. For the last year or 2 he’s been alternating between 1 and 2pm for daylight savings time, so idk what the noon uploads are about.
While I agree that building Shelob and just adding every spider on arena isn’t the best idea, Shelob and no spiders means you might as well be playing yargle and multani or another generic GB commander, but I have found that Shelob with ramp and equipment that give hexproof can make spiders that the opponent cant attack around really good youd be suprised how many decks are stopped by death touch reachers, add removal and bite effects and it I think it can work. So that’s how I built Shelob for spider tribal. Love Cgb just my idea for the commander especially as I think his deck would be a lot better if yargle and multani was the commander to really abuse that high power

I genuinely love how in the first game CGB uses return of the wildspeaker to draw 8 instead of going for lethal! That's the spirit!
38:29 a cardback of a dragon was what cgb saw. it lasted approximately 7-8 frames.
HB has more creative leeway for creators than standard, but it still means most tribal decks get absolutely destroyed and viewers wouldn't really enjoy watching that, so it makes sense to build decks with mostly similar shells that work. Kind of a shame if you do, shame if you don't situation. Still, i appreciate your efforts CGB! Thanks for all the HB love!
Yeah, at that point you may as well play a better commander in the same color
@@matteomariani7070 I feel like the power difference between any commanders that arent tier 0 are actually kind of negligible but that is mostly because as previously stated everyone is playing the same shell

I don't follow this dude much, but I noticed this same thing. What's the point of doing a theme deck with like... 5 cards on theme?
I agree you probably don't want to fill the deck with bad spiders just to max out the Shelob value but I think a couple of changelings or birthing boughs and/or maskwood nexus would be fun.

Probably not. I don’t see creatures in here you’d actively want to be spiders. It’s not like this deck proactively contests creatures on board either.

Vinesoul Spider is a perfectly reasonable 2-drop that plays well with Delirium stuff and potentially some ramp stuff if you can pull the land out of your graveyard.

I'm so confused as to why anyone still plays MTG at this point. Removal is absolutely out of control. I can't stick a single threat. The first turn I play a 3 drop or greater and it isn't immediately removed, they just scoop anyway. Why do these cards even have text anymore?

You can't play Magic Arena.. continuous stress.. Many times in games either the mana doesn't come out or some card doesn't come out.. it seems made on purpose to lead you to use gems to change decks and therefore to make purchases.. Magic is better Gathering less stress and weird things don't happen..
