This is awesome, Nic! I'm very excited, and looking forward very much trying this out on Linux when it is possible to do so.

    Nic,
Thanks for the continued development. I was going to wait for the Mac release before I made this feature request, but since you already half of it done I thought I would throw it out there.
On the Mac I use a program called MacDoppler DX (i believe a similar program on the PC is satpc32) to control the radios frequency to account for doppler effect as the satellite passes over. For instance, for a typical 10 min ISS pass, the RX frequency will shift from around 437.810 to 437.790
So what I am wondering is, how feasable would it be for Quansheng Dock act as a middleman server and convert standard RigCtrl/HamLib/Icom/Kenwood/Yaesu CAT commands and pass them through to the Quansheng radio?
In my case, 2 Quanshengs (or adding one to an existing radio) would be an inexpensive way to get full duplex for satellite radio, but I could see it being useful for others as this would make the Quansheng compatible with other existing software.
    Scott

Thank you so much for the help, much appreciated. I am currently working on Doppler options. The approach I wanted was to tap into live satellite/ISS position data online and calculate the shift in real-time as well as providing manual options. But I'm learning this is not simple, satellites are never fully heading directly toward or away from you. Fortunately I do know how to work with calculus.
On further investigation it would seem that simply including a CAT compatible serial interface would likely be the best solution. Obviously this wouldn't be full CAT initially but could grow over time to support more functions. To start, just the ability to change RX and TX frequencies would be enough to get doppler shifting working.

Wow, thank you very much Bruce. That will be going toward development of my version of the Audio interface card. Very much appreciated.

That is very cool, I have two of these radio's, and I just bought two AIOC's, just waiting delivery of them and I will be setting up both radio's on some homemade antenna's and giving this a spin....I can see NO ACTUAL BENEFIT in doing it, in a town with only one repeater and few user's of said repeater, but it should be fun so why the hell not.....

    Excellent work !
this app can be used also with Baofeng Wounxung?
and please, how spectrum analyzer work, da Quansheng have IF output on 3.5mm jack or need to modify ?

It just loops through a bunch a frequencies really fast on the radio (firmware), saves the signal levels to a buffer, then sends the buffer back to the PC that uses it to draw the graph.
