Hazrat Abu Bakar Siddique (RA) became the first caliph of Islam after the demise of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He died on the 22nd of Jumadi al-Akhir, in the year 13 AH (634 CE). He fell ill with a fever and passed away shortly after in Madina, Saudi Arabia. He was buried next to the Prophet himself. As the first caliph of the Islamic community, Hazrat Abu Bakr's leadership and piety continue to be revered and honored by Muslims today.
