Seeing Maynard with my own two eyes evoked emotions within me that I never knew I could feel! I'm still riding the high from that night!!! Thanks for the upload!!! My husband and I traveled all the way from Rhode Island to go to COA this year for our honeymoon! It's great to reminisce.

Honestly don't know why people say they can never see him. I've seen them like 10 times and have never had a problem seeing him and he's always animated. He just doesn't have lights shining on him.

@@Lydianon Yeah, I have a flying car and a mansion, lol! Nope, just 36 years old and have been a fan since 97'. I try to see them every time they come around but they used to be a cheaper ticket. Once in Madison, once in Milwuakee and twice in Chicago. No one puts on a show like Tool!

This was n awesome show. Saw them 2 days earlier and let's just say they played half the songs they played on Friday in Des Moines and they didn't even bring down half the screens or visual effects they used they brought out there C game for this festival but the music was killer as always. And holy shit the Cure sucked!!! Lesson learned. Dont see Tool at a festival if u can help it
The Cure did suck big time, but Gojira almost stole the whole damn show. Holy shit did Gojira tear it up! Plus don't forget as you mentioned this is a festival show so of course the set is going to be shorter, they played 3 less songs. And 1 of those songs was Danny's drum solo, you should be happy you got to hear Part of Me!
Patt of me is very rare and lucky to hear. The city made them stop at 10:30. Tool would have usually played 2 more songs. That's 20 minutes for Tool

Security was tossing people left and right in Hampton,Va on May 10th. The guy behind us took a picture 30 seconds into the opening band's first song and they tossed him out.

This is so forced it feels... different..Adam Jones playing is weak... something is off...I've seen Tool live 4 times I just don't feel it here. Not sure what it is. Even Maynard seems bored uninterested...very strange. I know I'll get shit for this comment but maybe other true Tool fans will see or feel it to. Peace.

At the Melbourne show Australia Maynard Told the crowd to take out and record the final song of the show as it was banned at show in the first place, except they ended with forty six & 2.
@@christopherclune8411 seems to be his thing with all 3 of his bands. I think it's AWESOME. the last concert I saw was a band I've loved a handful longer than Tool. After a 2 year delay I was PSYKED and was so wrapped up in it I didn't even think to film favorites. My poor wife, I barely even acknowledged her through most of it . And I'm positive these guys would have that same effect X10. Very cool to see recent shows with so few held up in the way of people behind um. And telling the crowd it's cool for the last one results in more out than there otherwise would be. All n all a concept almost as cool as Maynard himself. Doesn't get any cooler than that dude n the guys on stage with him. Man I want to experience this so effin badly

They Walked on and off stage about 4 times getting stuff ready and each time the showed up it was screaming and energy everywhere
He also asked how many of us were under 27, and proceeded to tell us we weren't "fucking sperm when we wrote this"
I drove 10 hours to catch this show in Chicago. Loved every minute of TOOL. Great video. It still doesn't capture the live experience.

Holy fuck! I live in Milwaukee about 1h north of Chicago and you're almost literally from the furthest place on the other side of the planet. Can you even make that trip in less than 24h?
Also do you have a ballpark idea what it costs a typical person to make that flight?

Great vid. This was the first time I was able to see Tool live, and I brought the family with. Gojira and Tool should have taken up the Cure slot, but it is what it is! Bucket list almost complete now. Just need to see Mastodon, Killswitch Engage, Lamb of God, and Opeth...and I think it will be completed...for now at least! \m/

I haven't been to a concert in 10 years, the last ones I went to were right when smartphones with cameras were just beginning to become ubiquitous - many bands still had a "no recording" policy, but the writing was already on the wall that soon everyone would have a "videocamera" in their pocket and such policies would become pointless. Which is why I'm especially surprised to hear you say they'd kick you out at a regular show? You're telling me nobody is holding their phone at those concerts? Every concert video I've seen the past 5-7 years has 100+ people filming (and the majority in Portrait/vertical 🙄🤦🏻♂️)

Hey honestly the guy has been putting out pure gold since the late 80s, it's amazing that at 55 he still sounds better than any other singer out there in my opinion.
