My PB trout is 27" too! I was lucky enough to catch it on topwater and get it on video. It was one of my more popular videos. Like your videos keep up the good work!
Great video, love that you are fishing my home town and all the local spots. You should check out Harrols Pharmacy for a great burger and shake or Casa de Tacos UFOs. To Dan, I'm a local Kingvillian ish. Born raised and likely come back and retire. Any chance with linking up for a fishing episode?
Of course there is kayak opportunities, I guess about 4-5 spots you could launch. We traveled further towards the mouth of the bay to a more protected area with adjacent structure for good winter trout fishing.
I noticed one of your reels' bearings are noisy (gritty-sounding). I've been having the same issue on my bfs reels after some time in the salt, and no amount of flushing is helping. any thoughts?
@@RXAngler i meant flushing with acetone and re-oiling with shimano bantam oil ^^; either way, it takes away from the smoothness of the reel but doesn't affect performance, so it's just a minor gripe haha
Haha, I actual went out and reclined my seat to test it out, too tall to get comfortable, but hey it's an SUV so could use back. Was shopping for fishing pickup truck since our last meeting, but YIKES!! $$$ even for junk! May go for kayak trailer. Lock on trailer & chains around kayak if sleeping.
@@RXAngler learned how to fish Baffin shoreline! Wade out to waist deep and cast to shoreline loads of 24”and 25” trout! It’s a huge bay with lots of fish!
Someone hit the Castilian translator pretty hard... In that area it's country Spanish... just like someone from New York won't have the same dialect as a Texan. In that Country they're names mean... Alazan - Sorrel, same color just like alot of the bloodlines the King Ranch uses in their horses Grullo - AKA Blue dun, Mouse dun or Grey dun colored horse with dark dorsal or leg stripes. Also roughly translate to Rough or uncouth, which that finger of Baffin can get when the wind really rips out the SE and blows right up the middle of it... Mustangs which used to roam that area were multi colored but Grullo was a dominant color. The whole area used to be called "The Wild Horse Desert" Salada - Down there it means "Salty"...
@@RXAngler well, not to sound picky but the southwestern shore of Cayo del Grullo and the northern shore of Laguna Salado are individually owned private property, neither King Ranch nor Kenedy Ranch. I say it because those landowners would notice and might take exception to such comments.
@@captoscar.estringel I noticed that too, especially on the three bay names he translates. Only Alazan may refer to a color, often a bay or brown of horse colors. Cayo del Grullo translates to the “Bay of Cranes” (the birds) and Laguna Salado is the “salty lagoon” given the hypersalinity. The Pleistocene worm reefs were made by serpulid worms, marine polychaete worms, which make for some tricky boating as Daniel knows well and so do a lot who have had to replace lower units.
Bro idk where you got your transportation, but you are dead ass wrong. Laguna salada means salty lake and I don't remember the other two, but they didn't sound right either
You could do with smaller portions more often sir. Kind of insulting to Daniel who is sharing his places with you. The polite thing to do is say nothing and eat.
give my boy Daniel a follow

Had a lot of fun collaborating Nick, great food, good fishing, and a great bay system to showcase!
Thanks buddy. Let’s do it again soon.
Graduated from TAMUK. This video takes me back to the more simple times in life. Fishing is amazing out there!
I graduated from Texas A&I, “A&I until I die” 😂 and chose my university because it was close to Baffin Bay
Thanks bro! I live this whole entire area. Such a beautiful place.
Baffin Bay is my favorite place to fish. I fish in the Riviera area and drive an hour and half a few times a month. Great video!
Thanks my man. I appreciate the kind words. Glad you are able to get out and enjoy Baffin Bay.
Hi, I just started to go baffin this past weekend with my son, 2 hrs drive from Laredo, and definitely want to go back soon,
Grew up in Kingsville and Spice Station is a favorite! Glad you got to experience the beautiful bay. I kayak that area frequently, great vid!
Thanks! Spice station is pretty good.
Great episode! The food and other aspects of fishing was much appreciated.
Thanks buddy. I appreciate it.
Great video and just love the intro music, really enjoyed.
Loved it. Always appreciate the travel vids for sure
Thanks 🙌
Great video, cool to see a local Mr. Daniel show you around Baffin.
Thanks my man.
I fish Baffin a lot but not a very good angler....just learning new things. Glad you enjoyed your time
Great video man - lots of action there! Keep up the good work
The Spice station!
Keep posting. Love your fishing content
I live here in Kingsville and man, is spice station amazing! haha
Nice to see you down south. Great video. I fish the port lavaca area(you’re video on that area is great as well)
Thanks my man. I appreciate you.
Port Lavaca area you say?
I’m local to this area. Live near Charlie’s.
Have Kayak, will travel.
This bay is on my bucket list for sure. I have heard abt. Baffin Bay since I began fishing in the mid80s. Is yr. friend a pro guide?
He’s not a guide but he may know some recommendations.
My hometown!! 🤘🏼
🙌💯
Loved the tv show vibe to this video bro! Great vid as always
Thanks man
2:01 so no ones gonna tell him? 👀
Grew up in Kingsville and Ricardo, glad to see some representation
Thanks for watching. Kingsville and that whole entire area is great.

Very nice!!
Good vid definitely dig the lower laguna Madre vids hopefully you come back to south padre island area
I love south Texas. So beautiful and so different compared to the upper coast.
Excited for this one.
appreciate it
How do you go to Kingsville and not eat at the Kings Inn?
Kings inn isn't even in kingsville
@@renemedrano2102 its close enough to go to.
I like that RMEF hat, also like fishing Baffin been a long time though
Thanks, I've been elk hunting a few years now and happily am a RMEF member and like the land access they provide. I've fished Baffin area since 2009.

Can’t wait !
thanks for watching my man
Texacali from young’s pizza 👍🏽
I will next time. That’s on the list.
Hi how are you? I plan to go to Baffin Bay in the next few weeks, what fishing spot do you recommend? Thank you
Nice trip thanks for sharing. 40 minutes boat ride so no kayak fishing opportunities?

Hello RX Angler was wondering if that 21 Antares Dc to bulky and heavy to fish lures all day like the old ones?
yes, the new one is a little bigger but its still manageable to throw for a good session. its a hell of a reel too.
Wish I knew exactly where yall fished at
We still have a 5 trout limit 15-25 till the 17th of next month
That’s where I started what made me #theprayingfisherman love your shows
thanks brother
Good fishing Bro
Great video keep it up . Come down to flint tx lake Palestine and get on some good hybrid and sand bass
That sounds like fun

Nick, this is the best series on your channel. You should consider a Port Aransas/Aransas Pass/Corpus TFT video.
thanks buddy. its on the list!
Sounds like a fishing trip.. rather than catching
Great video ! PlayStation should sponsor you 😂
Ha! That would be something. PlayStation!
What is your sleeping set up? Air mattress? Assuming you sleeping in the rear passenger area.
No secret really. Just recline, turn off all lights and go to sleep. The weather was cold so I cracked open the window for a little breeze.

Please do not walk on the rocks. As you noted, they are brittle and with all the pressure that Baffin is now receiving they are being destroyed.
Should have waited for Kings INN
A lot of boats have sunk in the bad lands.
absolutely patgetic
pathetic
No more fishing trips with Mark?
