- I am aware that for some this is not good news. I truly am sorry, but I can not risk my job and my studies. It's important to remind you that 𝗜 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝗻, but it does imply a lot of pressure. Despite I want to make everybody happy, that is impossible. So after 2 years as a content creator, I need to take care of myself in order to create quality instead of quantity. I hope you can at least understand that. Thank you 💖
A few things to clear up:
· Editing a trailer reaction or a 20-minute stand-up comedy reaction takes way less than editing a 2-3h movie reaction.
· I already react to everything I've mentioned on Twitch, but I never had the time to edit and upload immediately after.
· My gaming channel was also left on Stand-By because one can do so much, but with this new program, I can return without having to dedicate it extra time.
· If I feel overwhelmed, I shall take breaks, but no worries: there will be content so you won't have to miss me 😂

Good luck on your master's degree! And you are making the right decision. A master's degree is no joke and it's good that you understand that it will require hard work beforehand. Not sure if you're starting from scratch or from a bachelo'rs degree but a piece of advice I can't give enough to students is that studying at university is not a sprint it is a marathon.
Your advice is so true! I already have my engineering title, this is a legal requirement to continue with my current job, otherwise I'd lose it 😢

Yeah, and it's also not for everyone. I personally was 100% burned out on academia by the end of college. Of course, I had no plans for going to grad school, so it was a moot point for me.

Thank you for your update Duaffy, & for being sweet enough to take us, your viewers into account. I'm going to miss your frequent movie reactions, but you must do what you must. Especially where it relates to an education & bettering your life. I'm no fan of change myself, yet, I do get that it's the only constant in life. & you just deal as best you can. If you keep doing movies & series albeit with less frequency, I'll still keep an eye out & tune in. If you you think this direction you mentioned is the way to go, I'll stick with you. I understand completely. I quit graduate school after one semester due to work hours, not wanting to go deep into student loan debt and because of a messy situation at work when a supervisor from another department left a multi band radio unsecured in his truck and the situation just mushroomed to unbelievable dimensions. So, hang in there and good luck with your thesis.

I did a little binge of some of your (great!) reaction videos (Thanks UA-cam Algorithm. lol). And wondered why the vids just kind of stopped before I randomly came across this vid.
I've always considered making YT vids to be a fun hobby unless someone is making a LOT of life changing money from them.
You're going for a Masters and doing another job. You're busy. No shame in that!

Here's a crazy and possibly silly idea - what if you have followers who have Masters in your field that could help you study? (That's not me, LOL). I think this is a great idea and decision, and Im sure the majority of us who enjoy your videos will both support and keep watching.
IMO the great thing that you have done is build a solid base of subscribers and so if there are times when you might have to delay posting for a period of time, the majority of us will always be here so you won't have to feel you are starting from scratch.
One suggestion... if you have an interest you might also add reacting to music/songs, especially ones from the past you might not have heard before. Those types of video reactions have a really good track record of followers and watchers and they take up alot lesser time in editing.

I will still react to movies, and it will always be published on a specific day so people know when to wait for it, like for example: "Movie Friday". The only problem now is that until I don't see my Master's schedule, I can't schedule a specific day either

Some great reactions you can do Robin Williams stand-up comedy, Ray Stevens comic musician, and a great documentary to round out your Star wars viewing is empire of dreams a Chronicles the Star wars original trilogy
Here's the thing: I think the media corporations and copywrong are going to come for ALL of these reaction channels and even mine where I just post short clips. This whole reaction thing is a house of cards.

I enjoy your videos very much. It's a pretty short list of reaction channels that are smart enough to avoid some of the real garbage material floating around in the reaction scene recently, but I think you're on that list. So, even if it's different kinds of content, I'm sure there will still be plenty to enjoy. Personally, I can think of few things more worthy than prioritizing your education. I'm sure the vast majority of us aren't going anywhere.
Frankly, honestly... sincerely, I don't know how you do it as it is, but you do(!), and with the quality . Now throw in a Master's on top of all that, jeez. You are a rock star! Just be healthy and make sure you recharge your inner battery once in a while. You're amazing.

Well, if you're going to start reactions to documentaries, there's one I allways recommend, called "Walking with dinosaurs".... Is a six episodes (25 minutos aprox. each) and is one of the best I've ever seen, so if you never watched and you are interested in dinosaurs, that's a great beginning......

You need to find a balance in your life that works for you and allows you to do the things that you consider important. You can't have it all and some decisions have to be made.

Duaffy is the only "reactor" I've ever watched. After finding Duaffy one day, years ago, I started watching religiously. Every time youtube recommended a different reactor, I simply clicked do not recommend this channel ever again. Even so, my own interest in Duaffy even waned. I always wanted to see you react to The Thing (1982) but then you did and it was so sad. You are such a nice person, I'm sorry you had to watch that. The Thing, Escape from New York, Blade Runner, etc. are movies from my time and my psychology. They are great movies but all are dark. Anyway, good luck. Studies should be your #1. Or at least 1B. Health is always #1. Stay healthy.

Education comes FIRST! Although some might be disappointed some content is better than no content. RL always come first and the internet is 24x7. You can only do certains in RL at certain times and in certain places. TCB RL stuff first and we can wait and watch for new content as it appears. Best of luck!
45 minute to 1 hour TV show reactions already take enough time. Movies are time-sink monsters to edit/render
With more choice any subscriber can pick and mix and even if in my 50's I would not wear youth fashion but I would still be interested in what is cool if only to see how unfashionable I have become and can miss out gaming and watch other stuff just as we can opt out of things we are not into we can opt into things out of interest and maybe find new understanding new knowledge and seeing the world through the eyes of others, learning about what is outside of my comfort zone this is why I watch reactions
