This is what Abby Lee thinks she is. The difference is Kitty is grilling grown adults in a cut throat audition process whilst Abby just yells at 8 year olds for dropping hats

Kitty actually gives solutions. She's hands on she'll tell them where to hold their legs and knows what the judges will be looking at. Idk about Abby. She's just a giant bitch for the viewer ratings and shock value.
Man Abby ruined those girls confidence 90% of the time. Everyone but Maddie :/

I have dined in several of GR's restaurant's, the whole experience is a pleasure from the beginning, just smooth... Kitty is like a gravel road.
What I like about Kitty is that she's hard as nails, but coming from a place of respect. She's a tough pill to swallow, but not purposefully trying to hurt anyone - or one of those teachers who pushes students down to feel better themselves. It's good to see.
She is not respectful. Not everyone learns with someone being rude asf to them. She would make me mess up more. This lady is like 70 idk how she thinks she is so good

brings you to withstand the pressure of this job, then you have to choose another trainer.
That's her style and obviously she seems to do something right as many that went through her school became pretty successful in their careers.

She was SO RIGHT about that tree!! Like girlfriend why did you waste time making that and bringing it?!?
Totally not appropriate though to grab her by her neck and push her against that tree. Quite uncomfortable to watch.

IKR! She may not be relying on her looks, but I’m pretty sure her looks are what got her through most of training camp!
And this is why Kitty should’ve been there last season! She would’ve had Meredith out way early .
Its amazing that no one saw how hard Merideth worked to get better. She kicked butt at the end of last season. Just like every other season they focus on certain people. And believe me kat should not have made it past finals with her terrible solo and interview got in my how beautiful she was.
Lisa Magin I understand how hard Meredith worked to make the team. (As a former dancer myself). But giving her so MANY chances and then Kelli changed the uniform?!?! Still I can picture Kitty turning Kelli and Judy saying, “Are you kidding me-you cut X Y and Z and you kept Meredith?”
@@lisamagin7633 they cut shania for Meredith, yeah that girl worked hard but most definitely did not get there from her experience, mainly looks, Kat literally has no dance training and made Meredith look like a fool sometimes but hey to each its own opinion 🤷🏽♀️

The show isn't even on anymore...I have no clue how Kitty Carter is doing!!! I hate it cause I have no clue who any of the Cheerleaders are anymore...I believe the last group I remember was Marissa and this would be her 4th yr I think....So after her I know none of them.
It's amazing how Kitty can go from being sweet and kind to ruthless in a matter of mintutes.

I love Kitty - I am sad she wasn't featured during last year's season of Making the Team. Kitty is probably a victim of bad editing since they really did extrapolate her harshest moments the majority of the time, and I am not sure how representative that is of how Kitty typically criticizes everyone all of the time. The ironic thing is Kelly and Judy have said plenty of sharp tongued and witty critiques, but I think their overall presence and voice just doesn't sound as harsh as Kitty, so it makes Kitty come across worse while Kelly and Judy seem milder. Kitty says a lot of great things about the dancers, and even when she has criticized them, she has done so many times in gentler ways. I think she goes for the harsher comments when someone really needs the wakeup call that they haven't gotten. Of course for good TV, these times get shown more.
That is just my opinion though.

I love Kitty!!! And I soooo can't dance! But she's honest and it matters in an atmosphere like this
I kinda get kitty's emphasis on energy and large movements though. If they're gonna be out on a football field, those shimmies need to translate from the farthest seat plus into the training camp they keep telling the girls not to run out of gas so they have to make that energy filled first impression.

I think some coaches and teachers forget that there is a fine line between constructive criticism and being outright cruel and mean and Kittie is a perfect example of what true constructive criticism is and how it can be blunt but not cruel

I know she’s brutal and scary, but she will get the best out of dancers. We all need at least one scary dance teacher who maintains the highest of expectations. My Ballet teacher’s lessons taught me more than dance.
Maddie was so cute! Also that quick moment with Breelan, she was fun, wish she had more confidence in herself though

How come season 2 wasn’t shown? I very much remember Christina Murphy doing her lyrical dance and making Kitty cry.
Christina was my favorite. Wish she would have cheered longer.

Not even close. Don't rely on your look is not "you can't dance". Meredith is one of the best dancers, just didn't have the DCC style.
my favourite dance teacher of all time is exactly like this and i love it. if you're concerned, dance teachers critique like this because they care about us, and it really does help.

I’ve watched all 14 seasons and I can’t think of a single vet that was cut, who came back, tried out again and made it back on the team. A few made it to finals, but weren’t invited back to training camp.

Kitty is very direct, but for the most part she is trying to improve the dancing ability of those there. I do have to admit I have watched this so many times just to see Maddie's solo. She is such a fantastic dancer as are many of the others.

Kitty isn't trying to get under your skin. She's trying to help you.
There is a fine line between "tough love" (which basically Kitty is trying to do) and "being downright insulting" which she does all too often. Critiquing someone is 1 thing but, as she said to Danielle Marie, "you're lazy and sloppy" was way over the line considering Danielle did it for 5 years.

Jessica Zeller she definitely looks like a beauty queen! I don’t know if she’s married but if she isn’t I would love to see her on the bachelor one day! There have been quite a few girls from the DCC who were on the show!
Chelsey Lin Yep, lots of beauty queens have appeared on DCC and/or have made the team. Miss Texas 2003 Sunni Cranfill was a DCC, and Miss Texas’ Outstanding Teen 2009 Taylor BreAnn Lowery tried out for DCC Season 6. She’s the one Kitty called Cinderella. haha Kelli actually judged me when I competed for Miss Dallas in 2016 and Scott Padgett is the director. Dayton’s mom Shelly Bramhall was my local director in 2017. 😊
I don’t know if Rachel has since married, but I can find out.

I like how Kitty acknowledges that she knows what the girls are capable of and tells them that these are tools and they shouldn't beat themselves up over it. I think that is the difference between criticism and constructive criticism. These girls are trying out for DCC, this isn't just some competition with your team. You verses everyone else. It would be hard to hear what she has to say. Nobody truly loves to be criticized but to understand that she is trying to help them.

Kitty is mild compared to my high school football coaches. They spared no one's feelings. A Marine Corps drill instructor will get right up in your face and say things to you that would make your mamma cry and dare you to do something about it. Now the most radical thing to do is to tell someone the truth. But, I wish Amy Reese could have stayed on longer. She was one of the best dancers on the team.
The DI will shock you if youve never had that. Being raised by a Nam vet, no big deal lol but yes its good to see a lady being hard on recruit talent. They need to know and also be aware of their potential when harshly pushed. You gonna fold or shine..... Nobody is immune to criticism when it comes to KC.
