There's only one coffee shop in this little town open in the evenings, but lucky for you it's your favorite spot. The door chime tinkles as you walk in. The warm air momentarily fogs your glasses; when it clears, you look around the room. Everything is homey and familiar. The lighting is dim and cozy and the air is thick with the nutty scent of roasted beans and the sweetness of milk, sugar, and cinnamon. It's a quiet night: perfect. There are plenty of available seats, including your favorite one near the window. You like to watch the people walking by, although they are few and far between on a rainy night like this. You settle in with your notebook and a cup of something steaming; you reflect on the fact that you will in all likelihood order a piece of cake from the display case before the night is over. You watch the rain streaming down the window and let your thoughts begin to wander. . .* 🦉👋 Hello relaxed person that read my story - thank you! Do you enjoy this type of video? Calmed By Nature; Beautiful! I really love that the jazz music is a bit louder in this video! The rain is still a bit fast - but that’s okay. I really like that you can faintly overhear the other patrons talking. I haven’t heard any other coffee shop sounds... maybe I will as I listen longer. Oh, and I totally caught your logo on the backpack. 😺🖤
Glad you like it Nancy. The coffee shop sounds are pretty faint and you can really only hear them with headphones. I personally don't like those to be too loud in the mix but that's just my preference. There are some quiet stirring sounds and chair squeaks but they really aren't the focus. When you say the rain is a bit fast do you mean it sounds like it's raining too hard or something else?
OMG.....You've just changed my entire life. I'm crying I am so happy.....I'm disabled and cannot leave my home anymore....I am stuck living in a basement suite and I cannot do the stairs to get out more than literally a couple of doctors appointments each year. Regardless of Covid-19 restrictions I've been on lock down in my own home for almost ten years already. I only get fresh air by opening the window and my books, art studio and computer are my only access to the world. You've just given me my entire world back. I'm crying so hard over this....I can sit in cafe's now and listen to the rain, I can visit all the places you have created and my entire life opens back up. My depression has been so bad, but, now I feel hope again. Seeing these creations of yours and sitting with them.....it's like sitting with a new best friend. Thank You so much for all of your hard work into your creations.....I look forward to sitting with them all. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!
Dayna, I am so so happy that this channel is bringing you joy and comfort. You deserve it. I've got over 100 videos and I truly hope you enjoy all of the places they take you! I hope I'll see you around. Take care 🧡
I imagine many comments have been deleted here... still living in a basement of your "home" is truly saddening - that you have self inflicted issues that keep you from NOT having us pay for your healthcare...
just wanna say this video has been my go to for nearly the last 2 years. it really helps me with anxiety and makes a rough night a pleasant one in a matter of minutes
Some 10 years ago I ran a shop with my mother. I remember days like this. The people who came in were nice, always the same handful of regulars with the occasional new person who was just passing though. On days like this the rain seemed to keep the difficult people away. At the end of the year they would bring us cookies and coffee, we would do the same for them. We kept the prices low, because almost all of our regulars were like family. They would stay and tell us stories of their travels, the best of their lives and their troubles too. We were always scraping by, but somehow it was okay for times like these. This brings me back to what feels like a fleeting time that has long since passed. The store closed eventually, but I find it hard to forget all of the people I loved.
That's a beautiful memory and story. I'm sure those regulars miss you and your shop too. I'm glad I could help bring back some of those memories for you 💙 Thanks for sharing
@@CalmedByNature I want to offer a sincere thank you, for making this video and your kind words. I wish you the best for your channel, I'll be here to watch
No one really understands the love given and received in certain small businesses. I sold bicycles as a youngster for commission and people’s happiness... while the set up was different I loved bikes and fought hard for people to “never” let their new bikes collect dust... I was like the soup Nazi in sienfield... but a bike Nazi... hahaha... only friendly... When a sale was made it contained pure happiness for the customer and me... win win... Anything you and I do with “the care” contains “the beauty”... Yes your shop was the delight... but it’s not just that store and building... but your energy too... You can do it again. Maybe not that shop... but that care and respect and kindness and skill ... mediums changes but love is love. ☕️ 😉
In loving memory of every coffee shop, bar and restaurant worldwide, that had to close for good because of the lockdowns... Let us try to be more grateful and appritiative of these wonderful little gems that until months ago we took for granted.
Well stated A.K., I'm holding out hope that a lot of places will be able to pull through. In the meantime, I've been creating videos to remind of us of those places: ua-cam.com/play/PLvTaXqHhgyZ5gtjUnHrCZsqcNxo4AHyBs.html it's not the same but it helps a bit!
Several if my employers have been small business owners.... I am truly heartbroken by all the lost mom and pop shops. These were people's dreams. Just devastating.
What's really lovely here is the balance between the sound of the rain and the volume, and tone, of the music; it sounds muffled, as though it were playing in a different room, whereas the rain sounds as though it were pattering against a window. This is gentleness, calmness, tranquility in the best ways. That it goes on for eight hours or so is sublime; there's little better than a soundtrack against which to grind out hours at work, which also serves beautifully as a soundscape against which to sleep. Thank you.
@@andrewbuchan6122 this one might also do the trick: ua-cam.com/video/ATkI9r6DEeE/v-deo.html I just released it yesterday and it has soft music and louder rain than most.
When I was stationed in Yokosuka, Japan, there was a small upstairs cafe in the Ginza called the Blue Note. A few tables, a bar and windows overlooking the street below. The owner was a jazz buff and there was always some Miles, Duke, Ella, Cannonball, or Dizzy playing in the background. I liked nothing better than to sit by the windows with a milk tea and a meal, write letters home, read or just look out the windows, frequently at the rainy streets below and just daydream, realizing I was exactly in the right place, at the right time of day, to enjoy the moment for what it was. Some thirty years on, it's hard to believe there was such a place on earth. I know the Blue Note has closed down, and I've never found any place like it here at home. But this is a nice little illusion of that moment for now. You even got the backpack right. :)
How beautiful is to read your note . The memory you described makes me feel the mood in actual sense . Sometimes a moment cannot be re created . It's a mix of ambience ..music ..feel ..emotions and your loved ones . Respect to you fir having lived in that era also . Good day sir.
The fact that the background voices arent that loud makes it much better cause it makes me focus even more on studying and i dont haft to re-read one single sentence over and over again
I enjoy most of this but the voices at all are completely distracting, idk maybe I'm just not that social of a person but it makes me feel like someone *somewhere* is watching and I can't have them see my first or second rough draft :(
I know for a fact that you're not the only one who feels this way Ritzelle! I have a whole playlist of Christmas videos if you're in the mood to mentally fast-forward 😉 ua-cam.com/play/PLvTaXqHhgyZ5u4by-eyE2TElwmD9RaC7K.html 🎄
No tv, no social media, no news. You'll pick up on the important news from friends without the negativity of media. It's how I've been coping in 2020 and lockdown. Good luck dude!
I know what you mean Ted, I struggle with it too. That's part of the reason I started making these, in the hopes they would help somebody feel a little bit more peace and calm. Take care 🧡
@@CalmedByNature I appreciate the personal response, please keep up the good work. Coffee and crossword puzzles combined with your background and setting is very therapeutic.
I agree with you guys. The attitudes that have become the "new norm" was mentioned as part of the last days in the Bible. 2 Timothy 3:1 says, "But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. Notice it says last days, referring to an end of a time period. Things are promised to get better. Revelation 21:4 helps me cope where it says, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
Yes! I agree also...times are scary right now, no matter what your political affiliation... I love this whole channel and this particular video I put on like around 4 am when I’m making my own coffee and it’s still dark and quiet out...my favorite time of day! And I just saw the owl emblem on the backpack even though I’ve had this video on my tv every morning for a few months now! 😀✌️ P.S. Thank you so much for your videos, they are truly wonderful and they have enriched my life, not to mention the quality of the vids....superior.!!
I want to own a coffee shop that's only open when its snowing or raining at night, it'll be a vibe and I can play music like this. I just love thinking about things that will never happen.
yeah just doesn't seem feasible as a business. think about all the lost business on days where isn't showing or raining. what about when it rains all of a sudden at 3am, will you wake up to open the shop? how would you alert your employees? Good luck staying open for over even ONE fiscal year.
@@tuburica That make-believe coffee shop you see is open year-round. It just happens to be raining, but MOST if not all coffee businesses are open year aroud.
I spent almost four hours listening to this reading a book that I recently bought. This is so relaxing that I'm nearly asleep. I will definitely return to your coffee shop soon.

I can smell this video. I can imagine walking the streets during the cold weather and suddenly feel a few drops of rain hitting my jacket and feel it get heavier, so i just look around and spot this cafe. I rush across the street, open the door and suddenly...the aroma of coffee softly hits my nose and i feel slight warmth. I walk towards a corner table next to the window, remove my jacket and place it around the chair and walk up to the counter and order myself a double espresso and a walnut brownie and head back to the table and just gaze outside whilst sipping on the espresso.

Dang, this brings me back to my first job. Working a small cafe with a bookstore attached and watching the rain pour on a seattle winter afternoon. I remember that girl who used to come through and give me a smile after I handed over her caramel latte and the two older gentlemen talking about the news over a game of chess and tea; those were things I never thought I'd miss.

I'd love to work in a cozy little coffee shop like this, to enjoy creating drinks, setting up all the pastries, the divine smell of coffee, and listening to relaxing music all day. But then I remember customers are mean and would ruin that dream lol So I'll enjoy this video and have happy thoughts!
This makes me think of my wife. I haven't met her yet, but, for some inexplicable reason, I'm reminiscing about the first time we met. Utterly beautiful.
@@hampstercrazy Right? That would be the kind of story I'd tell for generations. I'm glad someone in this crazy world gets what I'm saying. All the best to you, Laura.
I know! So inspirational. I was just thinking it has something to do with covid. We all just want to gather and feel welcome. Even if it’s just sitting with a stranger we’ve never met like in a coffee shop. Somehow, this makes things feel less social distancy.✨

There's this perfect time in your life in your 20's when you're FREE. Maybe you're single. Maybe you're in college. But you're in your 20s and you're on your own. You need to value this time in your life, its very important. Do the things you want. Go where you want to go. Live in the moment! If you see a quiet coffee shop on a rainy night and you're walking past it by yourself, go in there. Sit down. Drink a coffee and read for an hour. You'll never forget it. Put your phone away. Get away from the screens. Once you get seriously involved with a partner, start a family, get busy, get a job that freedom you had in your 20s is suddenly gone, it dries up. And sometimes fast, and sometimes you don't even see it slip away. You won't know where it went. But you'll find videos like this and reminisce about a time in your life when you had the freedom to sit in a coffee shop on a quiet rainy night, and miss it. You'll feel nostalgic about it.
I'm just on the other side of my 20s and I know what you mean. Life comes at you fast. I'm glad I could take you back with this video Cody. I have more cafes like this and more to come here: ua-cam.com/play/PLvTaXqHhgyZ5gtjUnHrCZsqcNxo4AHyBs.html Take care!
If you’re reading this: take that risk. Try that hobby. Take that job offer. Go on that date (safely, obviously). That secret dream you’ve had for years, why keep it secret? Go for it. Plan it out, set goals, achieve your dreams you owe it to yourself to find happiness, and if you can’t find it, make it. You never know how many lives can be touched just by following your heart. I hope whoever read this finds comfort in knowing that some stranger on the internet is in your corner, and I’m rooting for you. Thanks for reading. Cheers ☕️
To me, this music feels like the cold air hitting my face when someone opens the door, smells like a cinnamon bun and tastes like hot chocolate. It makes me forget all the things I'm stressed about and helps me to relax and find my focus.
I gotta thank you again for this track. Needed to pull an all nighter for a college math class to catch up on all the work I owed. Managed to listen to the whole track. And because of it. I managed to go from a 55% to a 70% for my final. Thank you again! You're a life safer.
I like to think everyone in the comments are in the shop with me. Relaxing after a long day, catching up with old friends, going on a date, or taking notes like me. Hope everyone is having a good day.
can we all also take a moment to appreciate the animation in this? the people walking, the rain falling, the steam... all of it. its not only relaxing in the ears but so lovely to look at too. thanks to the creator.
It's such a small detail, but I love the foley work of hearing the door to the "cafe" open and then hearing the footsteps enter as the video begins. i listen to these videos a lot when I'm writing and that beginning always grounds me just as I'm about to get started. Again, a small detail, but it really sets these videos apart from all the other ambient soundtracks out there. Keep up the great work!
I'm glad you like it. Adding details like that is one of my favorite parts of making videos. I try to include subtle sounds and animations at the beginning of all of my videos if I can.

yes!! YES. when the world was normal. PLEASE...I DON'T WANT the damn "....new normal..." life. I hate it when others or advertisements on TV or the news media SMUGLY tells us with a confident smile on their faces..."you will have to live the new normal"....or " Yeah, this is the new normal. I like it , and its not that bad." BULLSHIT. I want to return to the normal life when I can sit down in a cafe and look out the window and not wear a mask and if I cough, NOBODY ERUPTS IN FEAR and anger toward me...like what has been happening lately when i go out EVEN WITH a mask. Its getting tiring.
catsintexas You are gonna have to learn to live with it, whether you want or not. Whatever our idea of normal was is long gone. We're way past the point of no return. If you'd told me back in November that we'd be living like this in 2020, I'd have laughed in your face, but this is life now. It is tiring, but life doesn't always give you a choice.
It's funny bc as an autistic person, if I were in this setting in person, I could not focus to save my life. But this simulated reality of a café, somehow, is different and I love it. Thank you.

hello person reading this, if this reaches anyone. we're from different parts of the world, we lead different lives, we are different people. but yet, this piece, this video, has brought us together. and i will never meet you, but just remember we're still connected by this piece- by simply listening to it, together. it's crazy how the internet can bring people together, huh? and i hope you're doing more than "okay," and if you aren't, remember: you will be okay, and that's a promise. please be easy on yourself- it's been a tough year, i know, but we're almost over it, and you will be happy. i don't know how much you'll remember of this, but i'm glad that our lives intertwined in this little way. have a nice day, or night, and lastly, nice life.
Beautiful sentiment. You see, though, some of us see the internet a little differently. While it brings good people together, the internet is also the sticky substance that binds all of the hateful and insane people of the world....culminating in little stunts like the one you saw on January 6th in our nation's capital. The internet is nothing more than a tool. You can use a hammer to build a house for a family....or you can kill the family with the said hammer. Lately, our internet has been badly abused by liars and whack-a-loons. And most people have stopped thinking for themselves. So, once again, while I love your statement, it's not reality,.Jan 6th was. Someone had to say this. Might as well had been me.
i worked as a barista for a little over a year until the pandemic hit, and had to leave my job because of it. i love being a barista. relaxing in a cafe is such a good experience but i think working in it was my favorite part. i loved connecting with the customers the most, seeing the same faces walk in made all the bad experiences of customers and stress fade. honestly theyre what kept me going sometimes, i'll never forget the time after work i had an hour long discussion with a regular who gave me his vespa a few days later. ive worked a couple other jobs in my life but none ever brought the same joy being a barista did. its what made me fall in love with the science behind coffee, drove me to learn as many brewing techinques as i can. i would even bring out samples of blends and do a guided tasting to customers who were interested in expanding their pallet. its amazing how many people never realized how a different blend could change their whole coffee drinking experience. i know its cliche, but every single day i dream about my own coffee business. i know i'd be lucky to own my own actual store front, but for my current goal i just want to roast my own beans, create my own blends, start a cute coffee cart. itll be a lot of work, ive even started business classes to make sure i know what im doing going into it, but i know how stressful coffee carts and cafes can get and I'm more than ready to make it my life. i love discussing coffee, teaching coffee, learning coffee. every time i start a pour over i learn something new about myself and the beans, the way they behave and want to be treated, how a calm hand and respectful movements dancing with the coffee will collaberate and bring out the best flavors. thank you if youve read this far, i definitely appreciate your time and interest. if you want to talk more about coffee or just discuss some stuff id be happy to chat with you friend!
Thank you for sharing! I hope you get the chance to be a barista again if it's something you loved. And as for the coffee cart, I say go for it. It's always worth a try and you sound genuinely devoted and interested, so why not??
Hopefully people like baristas will get their job back, because coffee is quite a popular thing in the world, or at least America. First time I've heard of a coffee cart but it does sound fun. I myself could never be a barista as I don't always have alot of patience for people, but that's just me. If it's what you love then go for it, let nothing get in your way. Just don't lose sight of where you came from and where you're going, that's something important to remember. Good luck!

It's 1.10am and I'm sitting on the sofa in the living room on my own in my pyjamas doing nothing in particular. The window in the room is open to let in some of the cool night air. All is peaceful and quiet outside. At times like this I like to reminisce about times gone by, friends I've had in years gone by, people I've met in in my life's journey and the good times I've had with each and every one of them. I can imagine sitting down to hot chocolate and marshmallows with each of them in this cafe and sharing a conversation and a laugh again. It's been a funny old life. Great times to be shared once again away from the noise and chaos of today's world.
ashley95126 I want this to happen for me too. We all need closure/time to catch up with old and new friends. Things end too quickly, and usually without explanation. We just want to know the truth, no matter how difficult it may be.
@Chloe Pinehurst My mother normally tells me i grew up in the wrong era because of my personal style, what you described sounds like the very place/time i would love to be in. Everything nowadays is so focused towards whats popular and new that you barely have time to process whats happening. I with that there were more places that were like what you said where people like me could just sit back and get away from the chaos that is going on on the other side of the walls. A place where it was okay to sit back with a cigar and just relax for a while while reading a good book or come hang out with friends on a day off from work.

As I stepped into the cozy coffee shop, the welcoming ambiance embraced me like a familiar embrace. The delightful aroma of freshly brewed coffee permeated the air, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly put me at ease. The mingling scents of roasted beans and sweet pastries tickled my senses, tantalizing my taste buds with the promise of indulgence. In the corner of the room, a man skillfully played the grand piano, his fingers gliding gracefully across the keys. The melodic notes danced through the air, filling the space with a tranquil symphony that touched my soul. I found myself drawn to the harmonious melody, finding solace in its peaceful rhythm. Approaching the friendly barista, I placed my order, and with a smile, she swiftly prepared my chosen drink. I found a seat on a tall stool near the window, its worn wooden surface providing a sturdy foundation. Gently placing my green backpack with an owl symbol in the center on the floor, I settled in, taking in the mesmerizing view outside. Through the rain-streaked windowpane, the city unveiled itself before my eyes. The droplets cascaded down the glass, distorting the bustling streets into a soft, hazy painting. On the wooden table before me lay an open book, its pages gently fluttering in the breeze. I noticed it was opened to page 87, whoever was before me was here for a while, that i could be sure. Beside the book, a flickering candle cast a warm glow, its soft light accentuating the intimate setting. Unexpectedly, a freshly brewed cup of coffee sat untouched, seemingly abandoned by its previous owner. With a curious smile, I took a sip of the unclaimed treasure, relishing its bold and robust flavor. The rich black coffee enveloped my senses, awakening my taste buds and providing a momentary respite from the worries of daily life. As I savored the free coffee, the barista called out my order number, drawing me back to the present. I approached the counter to retrieve my drink, grateful for the small moments of serenity I had found in this bustling haven. Returning to my seat, I settled in once again, eager to behold the breathtaking view that had captivated me mere moments ago. The stool beneath me offered a surprising comfort, its simplicity reminding me of the beauty in ordinary things. With each sip of my ordered black coffee, I allowed the rich flavors to swirl on my tongue, indulging in the simple pleasure it brought. In this haven of warmth and tranquility, the weight of school and life's challenges melted away, replaced by a profound sense of calm that had eluded me for far too long. ________________________________ I was captivated by the image of a cozy café in this video, and it inspired me to craft a delightful story set in that enchanting location. Whatever you may be occupied with while listening to this, I wish you the best of luck, and may you find peace within these hard times, God bless.
i've been listening to this video almost every evening for the past month. on top of the trauma of living through 2020, i'm going through some intensive trauma therapy right now, and am (a little desperately) searching for comfort and safety wherever i can find it. this video has consistently given me that sense of comfort and safety, during a time when it is MUCH, much needed. i listen to this and i feel safe, warm, cozy, comforted, comfortable. that's a feeling i very rarely get these days. and feeling this is exactly what i need to heal. so, truly, *thank you* for this video. i'll keep chilling here on a nightly basis, sipping my tea and internalizing this feeling. hope each and every one of you is safe and warm right now too.
keep going on and on bud. life has many lows and what seems to be be enough highs but that can be reversed by changing your attitude. whatever has happened shouldn't had happened but I'm glad you can feel warmth and relaxation as many are not able. have a great day
Transitional periods in life awaken our senses to levels deeper than before, it attunes to the inner self most profound. To accept and realize how we grow through pain & hardships, and mature to new levels emotionally through life’s traumas incidental and longitudal, is to embrace life more fully, as a given, and befriend the emerging new self as conqueror over the dark, and be inspired by it towards a fearless approach to continue to dream, reach for new horizons and thereby daily celebrate your evolving authentic self.
Thank you so much for sharing Miranda. I'm really really glad to hear that it's helping you find comfort. Wishing you the best with everything you're going through. 🧡
I've been going through some intensive trauma therapy since 2018 (including this year too). It gets better, slowly but surely, and it's SO worth it. The really bad days become more and more spread out and you find eventually you have many more peace-filled days. I'm still in-progress and 2020 definitely hasn't helped, but it's all a part of the process. Keep going friend, you can do this.
I love how literally no other video can bring me so much calmness and joy than this one. It's like a warm hug and I keep this on repeat almost every day when doing my school online! I hope anyone in this comment section is having a nice day!
I love that the creator still responds and likes recent comments. And this little community in the comment section is also beautiful. I love to come here often just for the mood. Really helps, love your videos, thank you.

I’m glad it helped back in 2020 and you’re still coming back. Maybe you know this but I made this video into a full series of 15 or so cafes with unique playlists. There are links to the playlist in the pinned comment and description if you’re interested. Take care ☕️🌧️

Glad to you have in the cafe today Mia :) Enjoy your stay. Also if you feel like exploring later, I have have a series of these cafes in different locations with different music. Take care!
This reminds me of when I lived in Hong Kong. Sometimes, I went into a western coffee shop and sat there just because I knew Id hear people speaking English in there and I felt so homesick and lonely at times . This is just lovely.Thankyou.
This is the sweetest comment thread ever! So glad everyone is enjoying the chill vibes. We all deserve to take some time to feel calm and at peace every day. This tune is perfection!
I've been coming back and listening to this video for months now and it really helps me to concentrate. I've never had the wonderful experience of studying in a coffee shop but as soon as the pandemic is over, it'll be one of the first things I do!
I wish I could just go sit in the corner of this little shop with all of you people-if you’re all watching this and feeling the same vibes then you’re totally my kind of people. (It could also be the quarantine loneliness taking over? But nah...I think it’s the first part.)
Thanks for stopping by the cafe Moons Child. I'm glad you chose to immerse yourself in these cozy vibes :) If you want to explore some of my other cafe locations I'm actually making an ongoing series so people can try different spots to fit their mood. Ah, this is so lovely! I've always been a lover of rain. Sunny days sometimes make me actually sad, no joking. The raindrops softly pelting the glass, the streets and rooftops, creating a chilly atmosphere while you watch from the inside of an elegant and cosy coffee shop, smooth jazz playing...this a dream scenario. Since it's a dream, I'll pretend I'm there with the love of my life (whom I haven't met yet) and we're just looking at each other... Thank you so much for uploading this! I've been feeling a tad blue lately and the constant sunny days never help. I'll just close my eyes and pretend the rain is real. 💕
In your mind you can be there! I'm glad you like this ambience. I'm making a multi video series of these cafe ambience with slightly different style for each one. Check out my other cafe if you haven't already
2:29:32 this part makes me so nostalgic, i used to play this video while getting ready for school 3 years ago and things changed so much, i miss those times so much. i always come back to this video and im so grateful for it, jazz music helps me calm down when sadness hits, thank you ❤️
For my friend and I, this our dream. A cozy coffee shop talking about life and watching the rain and letting warm coffee be a blanket to the cold rain. Sipping, dreaming, falling into the irresistible ambiance of the jazz and smell of freshly ground beans. There’s nothing like it. I couldn’t find anything more captivating than this perfect picture of a coffee shop on a rainy night.
I know it's such a cliche but this is a perfect setting for a date. We'd be having wine and cake, and swapping stories about each other till the wee hours. No distractions of the phone, just the rain and lovely jazz in the background.
As I stepped inside the cozy little cafe, a melodic blend of lo-fi and jazz music filled the air, instantly wrapping me in a soothing embrace. The raindrops tapped rhythmically on the windows, creating a symphony in harmony with the melodies, and I found solace in the peaceful atmosphere that enveloped the room. The patrons inside seemed to have formed an unspoken pact of tranquility, each engrossed in their own thoughts, books, or conversations. It was as if the rain had cast a spell, calming everyone and inviting a sense of serenity. The ambiance was one of camaraderie and respect, with gentle smiles exchanged and hushed conversations that added to the overall tranquility. I approached the counter, where a barista with a warm smile greeted me. As they prepared my coffee, the aroma of freshly ground beans wafted through the air, adding to the comforting ambiance. With skilled hands, they carefully crafted the perfect cup, pouring the steaming liquid into a porcelain mug. As I took my first sip, the rich flavors danced across my tongue, sweet and enjoyable. It was as if the coffee had been designed specifically for this moment, to be savored amidst the symphony of rain and music. Finding a comfortable spot near the window, I settled into a plush armchair and gazed outside. The rain cascaded down the sides of the windowpane, creating a mesmerizing display of nature's power. The world beyond was a blur of muted colors, a surreal canvas of gray and green, as if the rain had washed away the worries of the outside world. Time seemed to slow down as I lost myself in the moment, appreciating the simple pleasure of being sheltered from the rain, surrounded by harmonious melodies, and embraced by a community of kindred spirits. In that little cafe, I found solace, respite, and a momentary escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. And as I sat there, watching the raindrops dance, I realized that sometimes, the most beautiful moments are the ones where we simply allow ourselves to be present and enjoy the sweet serenity that life has to offer.
@@CalmedByNature Thank you! Listening to this types of music always made me think of made up stories or scenarios that would always have that "peaceful atmosphere" I just decided to write something on how I think a person would feel if they were to enter a café that's similar to the video shown.
I lived in Rome for about 8 years and had a couple of favorite haunts and this make me remember one in particular. Small, but hardly ever crowded... Amazing brunch on Sundays... Most of us regulars would nod a greeting, but I never felt uncomfortable alone. The music and atmosphere of your videos take me back to my home in Rome. Grazie!!

I SO appreciate the very quiet chatter and movement/life in the background of your coffee shop videos. It's quiet enough to not be distracting, but still there just enough to be perceived so that I feel in a place full of life...not just like I'm listening to some video alone in my office or at home. It's perfect!
Damn, almost everywhere I look, you have hearted the comments. There is clearly a lot of passion behind these videos, which can be deduced both by their quality and your interaction with their audience. Thank you for bringing so much positivity, god knows we need more of that.
You’re welcome! I appreciate the kind words. I try my best to respond to everyone that leaves a comment. It take quite a lot of time but I figure it’s worth it. Thanks for watching and supporting 💙
My great uncle was a jazz musician and wrote textbooks about the history of jazz. As a youngster I couldn’t stand to hear jazz music… now at 44 yo. This is greatly relaxing and much appreciated.
Just found this "place," stopped in to get some work done, and I've been happily productive for about three hours now. Aside from that ad at the beginning, no interruptions! LOVE the music, the ambient sound, the subtle animation of the background (thank you for keeping it subtle, but extra thank you for taking the trouble to add it and dial it in perfectly). I'll provide my own chai latte, made just how I like it. But it would be awesome if I could order something from the glass-covered baked goods... and I can't find the tip jar... Seriously though, if you have a tip jar on your website or something, post the link. Right now (July 2020, mid-pandemic, in North America), what you've provided here is nothing short of a public service. A mental health service. A blessing to writers and authors and entrepreneurs everywhere. If I can't tip the barista, at least I can tip the artiste.
Thank you Nicolas. You are very kind and I'm glad you like the subtle ambient sounds and animations. Tips are always very much appreciated: paypal.me/calmedbynature and I'm not sure if you've seen them already but I have a whole series of cafes I've made during the pandemic here: ua-cam.com/play/PLvTaXqHhgyZ5gtjUnHrCZsqcNxo4AHyBs.html
Reminds me of the coffee shop that I sat in years ago by a window, writing and reading, with a pay phone near enough that I could just reach over and use if a call came through my pager. I had no idea where I was going in life and was mid twenties. Yet these eternal moments echo with me still some 30 years later. So much has happened but...I can again sit at that window and just...watch and feel the eternal moment then merge with this one. Some of the best things in life are...simple enjoyments and pleasures. Thanks for making this.
Playing this while its actually raining outside...sipping a coffee and reading my favorite novel wrapped in a big blanket. Moments like these makes you appreciate the little things thank you!
It's great to think about things that'll never happen. You can let your mind wander. I want a coffee shop exactly like this one. People coming through the door, hanging their wet coats up, shaking off their umbrellas just as they walk in. Greeting you and talking to you about the weather. Sitting and ordering a coffee and having a nice chat. In the background there's piano jazz music, just like the music playing in this video. The shop is lit up with some dim and cozy lights. Ahh what a dream that would be.
So my sister who possibly has some form of adhd but hasn't been diagnosed, had a massive fit about her bed being uncomfortable. I know that I can calm her down better than my parents so after an hour of being very horrible to everyone, I managed to get her almost relaxed. I'm laying next to her now, asleep, and this video is the reason. Even though its is half 3 in the morning, everyone is asleep and the house is calm and without this we would still be up, I'm going to sleep now so thank you so much, this video is a life-saver :))
Ah man that sounds really rough Millie. You're a good sister. I'm glad you were able to relax together to this video. Thank you for sharing this story. This is the type of stuff that reminds me that what I'm doing is worth it. Take care ❤️

This is exactly what I was looking for. I searched "rainy day cafe music", thinking I wouldn't find anything, but this is literally perfect. I'm trying to grade all of my students' work and this is just what I need to help me focus. :)

Why is it that I come to this "coffee shop" all the time, read the comments, and think "Hey! I could be friends with you, and you, and you, too!" But I never manage to meet absolutely anyone in real life that I feel the same way about. It's like all of my friends are right here. So, I'm in SoCal. Anyone else in this area of the world who would want to meet up at a real cafe after they open their doors again? Or is it just better to keep these potential friendships as virtual as this cozy cafe?
This video just lets me drift away haha.. I've been really busy with college work recently (anyone who's done A levels will know how full on they are) and its been really taking a toll on me mentally. I thank the creator and everyone in our worldwide coffee shop for helping me relax and get through the day with the truly beautiful ambience this video creates. I hope everyone has a lovely day!
I feel so safe in the distant sounds of people and clinking coffee cups mixed with the rain and jazz is cradling me in a soft blanket of reassurance. Perfect to gracefully fall asleep to on a cold autum night.

Just relaxing by yourself in the evening while having your favorite drink and looking outside into the night city is just something that brings peace within me
When I was younger, I used to visit this one cozy coffee shop every weekend with my father. We’d both order a drink, then spend our time relaxing and reading. I don’t see my father that often anymore, now that I’m older. When I was a kid, the days spent in the cafe were just normal days... but now that I’ve grown, these are some of the memories I most cherish.
Isn't that always the case! The simple times are often the most special in hindsight. Glad I could bring up some pleasant memories for you Michael. Take care 😊
Calmed By Nature Thank you good sir, I know this might often slip under the rug under all the comments, but I genuinely appreciate your videos - the time & effort shines through. I’ve got this channel marked as a go-to for ambient music to bring back those memories :) Take care!
I love how you've brought other people into these scenes, even if they're just walking past/sitting reading. These scenes feel more inviting and cosy. Maybe it's the reassurance and security that you're not alone that makes it feel even more relaxing to me.
Yes! That's exactly it. A lot of these types of scenes feel quite lonely so I like adding subtle touches of animation, sounds, and evidence of other people to give the indication that there are others nearby but not in your space. @@materialclassified No. But, a lot of people play them while they are working on a tv or separate computer monitor. The reason it's 8 hours is because people will play this through the night while they sleep as white noise.

I have a coffee shop near me that has chairs that recline as well as a couch, a mini library and a table with a game of checkers waiting to be played. You can sit there for a while until they ask you if you wish to buy anything. I mean these places have to do business to stay around so I'll usually order a muffin or something. These places still exist, but they are usually in very small towns in rural states.
How sound matters to everything we feel. Music can change a life. Loving the sense of calm, warmth and comfort here. This is a masterpiece of wonderful memories.
i know right im about to take a college test thing and im listening before hand so i can be as chill as possible wish i could listen to this during the test though so peaceful ^_^

🦉📖 *. . .It's stormy out, but you want to get out of the house anyway: you have some writing you want to do, and you need a change of scene. You watch the rain streaming down the window and let your thoughts begin to wander. . .*

Thank you for this, I've been cooped up now because of surgery. We all need comforting sounds to help us sleep or just day dreaming. Thanks again
You're welcome Terry, I hope your recovery is going smoothly. ❤️

I only get fresh air by opening the window and my books, art studio and computer are my only access to the world. You've just given me my entire world back.

A. K. It’s completely unfair that that so many businesses are getting financially screwed as if they have control over who spreads the virus.

What a lovely comment, A.K! Please be happy, healthy. Blessings!
Thank you.

That sounds wonderful DJ. I'm so glad I could bring up that memory for you. Thank you for sharing 😊
Japan and East Asia's the best! :D
I wasn't aware the blue note was closed down. It was featured in terrace house and some of the cast visited the place in 2015.

No tv, no social media, no news. You'll pick up on the important news from friends without the negativity of media. It's how I've been coping in 2020 and lockdown. Good luck dude!

You'll feel nostalgic about it.

most people don't know this well enough, 20's is the time to enjoy life
Or don't have the family and live like this in your 30s, 40s, 50s, and basically till you die.
you'll never be free again unless you start standing up to government
Your 30s are even better if you've put off having kids. Because now you've actually got the money to do what you want.
It's such a small detail, but I love the foley work of hearing the door to the "cafe" open and then hearing the footsteps enter as the video begins. i listen to these videos a lot when I'm writing and that beginning always grounds me just as I'm about to get started. I want to return to the normal life when I can sit down in a cafe and look out the window and not wear a mask and if I cough, NOBODY ERUPTS IN FEAR and anger toward me...like what has been happening lately when i go out EVEN WITH a mask. hello person reading this, if this reaches anyone. we're from different parts of the world, we lead different lives, we are different people. but yet, this piece, this video, has brought us together. and i will never meet you, but just remember we're still connected by this piece- by simply listening to it, together. it's crazy how the internet can bring people together, huh? and i hope you're doing more than "okay," and if you aren't, remember: you will be okay, and that's a promise. please be easy on yourself- it's been a tough year, i know, but we're almost over it, and you will be happy. i don't know how much you'll remember of this, but i'm glad that our lives intertwined in this little way. have a nice day, or night, and lastly, nice life.
Thanks for the reminder 😊
You too.
You made me cry🥰thank you for the nice words bro, wish you just the best✨

Good luck!
hope to see you back in the Cafe
Go for it and good luck. Also love to learn more about coffee

Almost perfect. Only a cat sitting at the window on a dry spot is missing.
In this haven of warmth and tranquility, the weight of school and life's challenges melted away, replaced by a profound sense of calm that had eluded me for far too long.

i've been listening to this video almost every evening for the past month. on top of the trauma of living through 2020, i'm going through some intensive trauma therapy right now, and am (a little desperately) searching for comfort and safety wherever i can find it. this video has consistently given me that sense of comfort and safety, during a time when it is MUCH, much needed. i listen to this and i feel safe, warm, cozy, comforted, comfortable. that's a feeling i very rarely get these days. and feeling this is exactly what i need to heal. so, truly, *thank you* for this video. i'll keep chilling here on a nightly basis, sipping my tea and internalizing this feeling. hope each and every one of you is safe and warm right now too.
keep going on and on bud. life has many lows and what seems to be be enough highs but that can be reversed by changing your attitude. whatever has happened shouldn't had happened but I'm glad you can feel warmth and relaxation as many are not able. have a great day
Transitional periods in life awaken our senses to levels deeper than before, it attunes to the inner self most profound.

This reminds me of when I lived in Hong Kong. Sometimes, I went into a western coffee shop and sat there just because I knew Id hear people speaking English in there and I felt so homesick and lonely at times . This is just lovely.Thankyou.

Sounds lovely Gaya 😊🌧️

Love this 💙🦉 thanks for sharing
@@CalmedByNature Thank you! Listening to this types of music always made me think of made up stories or scenarios that would always have that "peaceful atmosphere" I just decided to write something on how I think a person would feel if they were to enter a café that's similar to the video shown.

I SO appreciate the very quiet chatter and movement/life in the background of your coffee shop videos.

Even though its is half 3 in the morning, everyone is asleep and the house is calm and without this we would still be up, I'm going to sleep now so thank you so much, this video is a life-saver :))

You still can! Starbucks and many other coffee and tea shops (like Short & Stout) welcome lingerers if you buy something 🙂
I have a coffee shop near me that has chairs that recline as well as a couch, a mini library and a table with a game of checkers waiting to be played.
You can sit there for a while until they ask you if you wish to buy anything. I mean these places have to do business to stay around so I'll usually order a muffin or something.
