Disgaea isn't going downhill (why some people immediately assume that if only the latest game isn't very good), with Disgaea6 they tried some new things that didn't work out very well/they didn't pull of as good as (I assume) intended. I was expecting Disgaea7 to be at least a whole lot better, I got the game early and up to now I'm happy with it! The experience is pretty close to 4 and 5 indeed. I still prefer the look of the animated 2D characters, though I think the 3D adoptations are pretty well done. I wish they used the 2D versions on the battlefield and the 3D ones just to have more flexibility in the action animations . But overall this looks to be a great Disgaea game again, so i'm happy!
to be fair they did shut down their mobile game and the sales of disgaea 6 were way below expectations but i myself dont think its going down hill and im glad they took some of the good features of 6 and put it in 7
@@faizedfoxgaming7426 lol nice and no problem man been watching your videos and you deserve more views and because I am no longer doing them figured I would send them your way. And keep up the good work doing great.
I think the main reason why people would do auto battle in disgaea 6 even if they dont want to is because of how huge the stage is. It takes time to just go near the enemies. Auto battle will make it simple. Plus there are stages wherein no matter how you rotate the camera you still cannot see some characters.
auto battle made tons of sense in D6, helped combat the grind and the numbers bloat in the game. seemed like a natural fit for the series and i really liked optimizing my AI for runs, really surprised so many people bounced off it. probably just gamer alarmism, like how some people scoff at the phrase 'early access' without actually looking at the game itself. hope it's still pretty functional for grinding cos number bloat or not its still a disgaea game and I'm still HYPE!
i think the main reason people didnt like auto battle was it really really felt like i was playing insert any mobile game in the past decade. I think it has a place in the games to help with grind tho

I didn't even know auto battle was a thing in Disgaea 6 cuz I haven't touched it. It looks...so busted. Like you, I understand the purpose and I agree that they went WAY too far.
Disgaea 7 is soo good in so many ways. I really liked the auto battle mode in Disgaea 6 as it was really quick way to get units on the map (from the base panel) or to move units towards far away enemies. These were the main ways I used auto-battle, shame its no possible in 7. Regarding the number bloat even though I too find it weird a bit (and I am soo happy NIS went back to normal numbers), in Japanese it makes soo much more sense. In Japanese 10 000 is 1万. 1 million is 100万 . With Japanese characters, from a glance its just easier to underhand in way. Plus in Japan, people are used to larger numbers due to how the currency is.
true auto battle was nice to get all ur units out at once i would like to have that as an option very nice. oh yeah the number bloat does make sense in japan cuz their currency does have lots of 0's true point
oh i think all except stat boositng ones were removed cuz now items have properties on them that you can move around with item reincarnation taking the place of what innocents used to do. Items never had innate effects or properties on them before like they do in 7 now
Is there any challenging content in Disgaea 7? My main complain with the series is that you are endless grinding in maps that aren't challenging, then make overpowered units for what? One big secret boss that will just get oneshotted? Mobile Gacha games suck, but one thing they did really well is that their endless grind loop is better designed. There are a lot of specific difficult levels that you are trying to break through, needing specific strategies to beat. Once you beat that stage, it unlocks better grinding options/gear for you.
well you got carnage mode to work toward basically the campaign main story is the tutorial and you got 5 or so like guardain bosses that are a challenge and 1 super uber boss but disgaea is much a game where if your over grind out level everything than of course its no challenge. if you use the cheat shop you can make enemies stronger sooner thuse giving u more a challenge too
complaining about the auto battle is dumb... its an optional feature you didnt have to use ffs... now we have a far worse version of it. I dont understand why people complain about having options in a video game. complaining about the numbers is also weird. i agree 6 didnt have enough classes
yes i like auto battle as an option. i think its a great choice for people that dont have all the time in the world to lay or grind in a game like this.
