One thing I love about the Monsterverse films is that it gets more creative with the new Titans, and the lore surrounding the main ones (Godzilla, Kong, etc.) I also enjoy the idea that with each film, both Godzilla AND Kong evolve more in terms of appearance and skill.

While we didn’t get a lot of perspective to scale him with other things in this trailer, other than Kong, it’s been confirmed that for every movie he’s in (in this universe at least), he’s grown a decent bit. I think the reason you think this is because of the monsters Godzilla’s fought. First the mutos, who were decent in size, but pretty sure Godzilla was bigger than both of them. Then ghidorah who towered over Godzilla but was relatively slim, making Godzilla seem small in comparison. Finally there’s kong and mecha-Godzilla who were both around Godzilla’s size, if not overall bigger. TL;DR: Godzilla is getting progressively bigger, it’s just his foes keep one upping the previous in terms of overall size.
I think a lot of that has to do with the direction of each movie. Godzilla 2014 seemed so large because of the camera work and audio design, Gareth Edwards is really good with scale (see rogue one). He moved slow and carried weight and he’s often shown from the humans pov. It seems like as the movies continue they’re falling back on this. I loved how fast he was in Godzilla v Kong but it definitely takes away from the belief that this is supposed to be a 350+ ft tall thing

I miss the old monsterverse movies where you actually feel helpless to the sheer size and terror of towering monsters with dark and gritty tone. Now it's all colorful, everyone's huge, and futuristic stuff is all over the place.
It’s staying true to the original story though. I do agree that it’s titanic feelings has somewhat faded, but it’s not because of the colors rather it’s the scale of the enemies and the location. Without city scape to make reference to size they could be pea size in a barren land for all we know. Anyways I agree the feel is missing, but not for the reasons you’re thinking. And if those things actually are having that affect on you, that’s fair, but it’s following the original story more than you’d think even if it does seem kind of silly.
I love Kong for his empathetic ways and how he seems to communicate better. However Godzilla will forever be number one in my book. He’s too badass in every category

Your blind kid. In 2014 vs muto he was 108 meters tall "354ft" in 2019,2023 he is 390ft tall. So with his new evolve state he might be 395-397ft.

It’s staying true to the original story though. I do agree that it’s titanic feelings has somewhat faded, but it’s not because of the colors rather it’s the scale of the enemies and the location. Without city scape to make reference to size they could be pea size in a barren land for all we know. Anyways I agree the feel is missing, but not for the reasons you’re thinking. And if those things actually are having that affect on you, that’s fair, but it’s following the original story more than you’d think even if it does seem kind of silly.
