I've used clear polish on bottom of aerosol cans yrs ago works fine & I used polish in different colors to fix scrapes on patent leather shoes & bags ,black of coarse worked the best. On rings not so great as it can peel off. For barrettes & flower pots u can find just as pretty in dollar stores without the mess
