Wow that was a good idea to tie them all together like that. But it must have worked against them since they all drowned. You know my grand mother and her sisters used to talk about that hurricane. My grandmother didn’t live in Galveston but her sisters did. My grandmothers sister did live in the same house about 5 or so blocks off the beach road. They said after the house survived several hurricanes that’s when her family used to come stay at her house during hurricanes. After one nasty hurricane they found a snake climbing up under the house so they put siding all under the house. It was about 3 or 4 ft off the ground. I haven’t been down there since that one real bad hurricane a few yrs ago. It was so bad I understand it wiped bolivar island off like flat like nothing was ever there. I often wondered about my great aunts house. I guess I need to go look up the address again and find out if it survived that hurricane. All her kids moved away but she lived there till she died.
I use to live near the notoriously haunted Toys R Us store in the Bay Area (Santa Clara, California). It was featured on Unsolved Mysteries multiple times. I went shopping there frequently throughout my childhood. There were many rumors about WHY it was haunted, but I'm not sure anyone knew the truth behind WHY it was haunted. I still have my talking Freddy Krueger doll I bought there in 1989. 😊
There was an abandoned asylum just north of Pittsburgh that was called Dixmont. Around 20 years ago it was torn down to build a Walmart on the land. Construction began soon after its destruction. It is still a vacant lot. There were so many injuries and terrifying cases of attachments causing workers homes to be haunted. They abandoned their efforts and it remains an empty lot. I am an empath and have attempted to visit the land twice but at the start of both attempts, as soon as I stepped out of my car, I became violently ill. Nausea and vomiting that left me miserable for 2 or 3 days. I know they say third time is the charm but I am waiting for someone with more experience with negative spirits than I have. You may want to check it out.
I’m not sure what to believe anymore at 26 I’ve never experienced anything crazy (yet) Just this once me and my gf were sleeping around 2-3am the glass door in my 2nd bathroom just shatters with no explanation at all. As I saw there was nothing that could’ve possibly caused that to happen. When I heard the sound it sounded like it was slammed 😮
Holy shit! I’ve shopped in this Walmart. I had no idea that’s where the orphanage was located. I used to teach my 6th graders about the hurricane and all those children. So tragic!
I'm a *bit* pissed at Walmart here lately, BUT it's a haunted location, so count me in!!! I mean, I NEED a Diet DP, an iced coffee, & a salad (& just mayyyybeee a Reese's, 🤷🏼♀️ LOL) on a daily! 🖤👻#stayspooky
Ahh since I tend to get more scared I probably wouldn't! I love the paranormal from a safe distance. Up close and personal well that's a whole other story!!😮😮😮❤
It's a walmart , can you imagine the ghost hunters walking up and down the isles like Dan Aykroyd 😂 if a ghost has something to say it better be to help pay for my crap
I would definitely shop there!! U never know when u may see toys moving or a spirit or two!! Would love to have the experience of the paranormal,as long as it doesn't harm me!!
I don’t think Ghosts like me because of all the haunted places( I’ve been to many )I’ve been I’ve never seen, felt or heard sh’t! 🤷🏽♀️ but I do enjoy hearing stories.
I've shopped here tons of times. We live in Houston, Texas n hve lived on the beach as a child. Also, as I was growing up Iived at the Galveston Beach with my friends. As an adult took my children go the beach also. So, we hve shopped at Walmart on Galveston Island frequently. Always hve got creepy vibes from this Walmart n will NOT use the bathroom or venture off in the store by myself!! Creepy vibes for sure.
I wouldn’t take anything home, you never know if one of those spirits attached themselves to any of those items and i wouldn’t want to take them home with me😂😅
That's so sad. I would most definitely shop there I wouldn't be scared. It's ghosts of children and the nuns . And they probably like the toys. It's just a sad story
No thanks to shopping there! Those poor kids and nuns and all that they must have gone through trying to get away from the detestation of that hurricane! Hopefully they are not still stuck in a continuous loop of reliving that time, over and over! God bless them all…
Used to shop there all the time when I lived in Galveston. That entire island is haunted-love it!
Good to know 😊

At least the babies get to play with the newest toys in the afterlife❤
The painting of that man Bernardo De Galvez is also haunted. Galvez was I think the Spanish Army general after whom the city of galveston was named.
I was just there!!!
Sure, why not. Ask the children to follow you out and to the light.
Holy shit! I’ve shopped in this Walmart. I had no idea that’s where the orphanage was located. I used to teach my 6th graders about the hurricane and all those children. So tragic!
