I know you guys were expecting a new Frozen 2 music video, but betcha didn't know it would be this one! (I didn't either until my friends at Topps Disney Collect reached out to collaborate again together, and the idea to cover this song came as I looked through their new Frozen 2 card decks). Nothing felt more fitting to pair with their beautiful new cards about courage, & “finding the strength you never knew you had.” And nothing felt more fitting for where many of us are, or have been, this year.
You guys know how open I am about my struggles w/depression & anxiety, & at least for me, this reminder to keep doing “the next right thing” is really important when you feel frozen in a place of despair. This song’s message, & Anna grappling with her own inner battle really resonated with me. Thanks so much to everyone who requested this cover. It's because of you that we decided to do it.
I know it's been a minute since I've uploaded a video. I've been active on Instagram but not so much on UA-cam. I felt led to pause in any content creation for a time to shift my focus to the state of our world, and where I felt moved to redirect my energy and resources, and I'm really thankful to you for understanding and being patient while I worked on coming back around. I’m so grateful to my friends at Topps Disney Collect for sponsoring this video. For the first time in a while I felt a peace about what to share with you coming back. This just felt right, and despite it being from a fictional story, it felt authentic. I hope you feel the same way. This song is important all the time, but it feels especially poignant now. This was my favorite song in the whole film since it’s so courageous and shows a character effectively hitting rock bottom and pushing through their pain to do the right thing.

To tell you the truth, this wasn't my favorite song from the movie either when I first saw it. I so badly wanted Anna to have this huge Let It Go moment and song, and then when I saw the movie, I saw Elsa get two more of those, but Anna's solo song had her crying through the whole thing. But the more I re-watched the movie and listened to the soundtrack, and thought about it, the more I realized how important this song is. I'm really impressed with Disney for showing a Disney Princess grapple with grief like this in such a realistic way. I really like the message of the song, so it's really grown on me since first seeing the film! But I totally get you! It took me a while to come around haha! Jesus Christ is coming back to Earth very soon! Are we noticing that despite how much she loved Kristoff supposedly, at that moment, he didn't even occur to her. She didn't even think about seeking him out for comfort in her time of loss. All she thought about was Elsa and Olaf, and loosing them. Rightly so, but I mean, he wasn't even a faint thought. When it comes to loves in her life, Elsa will always come first no matter what. Even when she's with him, she's thinking about Elsa, what does Elsa need, is Elsa alright? Where is Elsa. Kristoff will always come second in Anna's life, if not third after Olaf evidently, and he's a talking snowman, and that's sad. He doesn't even rank above a talking snowman in Anna's affections.

its good, i liked it, but personally, i feel like it didn't do the real version as much justice, i understand that this cover is focusing more on anna's emotional state of trying to come to terms with the fact that she's lost elsa and olaf and she's lost and now alone, but at the same time this song is anna's turning point towards becoming a stronger more independent version of herself instead of always being codependent on elsa and staying in her shadow, it's her time to step into the light and i so badly wanted to hear traci bring out that strong emotion, and i totally understand she can't strain herself and i don't want her to, i just wish i could've heard that strength, even if it was simply cutting out the extra bit of crying towards the end. i know this isn't the most positive comment but don't get me wrong, for what she's done with this cover i do like it, i did enjoy seeing a live action version of anna, and honestly if they ever did a live action of frozen i feel like traci is the closest you'll get to a real life anna.
Especially when coming through a depression, all we can do is pray to God for guidance and ( as the song says) do the next right thing.
