      I haven't - I'm using Canon primarily. But I do love Fujifilm & will continue talking about their cameras.

    Excellent UA-cam Zach, I'm a total convert to the X Raw Studio process - having seen Kevin Mullins UA-cams some years ago and Yes, I also have Darcy Padilla's recipe as one of my 7! Keep up the good work

    Nice Presentation, Zach. I have not spent any time messing with Raw Studio. I have only gone straight to LR. Now, I will work with it. Regards….Wayne

    Thank you for the video Zach! I was wondering if you know whether it is possible to create a custom recipe on XRaw studio and then save that to an XT3? I can't seem to find that "Camera Profile (CUSTOM)" tab on my program. Thanks in advance!

    I wonder if you can save the settings as a LUT and use it on video. That would be a cool feature.

    • @TheZachMendez

    Hello, wondering why Camera Profile Custom is available on my X100V but not my. XT3, thanks for your help.

    For the DR problem, just set your ISO to be 640 and above and then you can change between all DR values (100, 200, 400). Of course, there might be a touch more grain at 640 but nothing to worry about on the modern Fuji’s!

    Thank you for this great example!!! I will try this out today! 😎💪 Do you know if there is any quality loss in pulling the jpg after this into Lightroom to add a small edit then export?
    Just looked at your recent vids :) looks like you are on Canon atm. I just came from canon to Fuji :) .

    Great video (also awesome photos!) I will have to try out this Raw studio! I switched to Fuji last summer, and left lightroom for Capture One in the fall, but still missing some features from lightroom to be honest. What do you use otherwise?

    • @TheZachMendez
      @TheZachMendez Рік тому

      Ah I understand!! I actually shoot canon now so I am back on Lightroom! Honestly I always used lightroom even with Fuji - it just works better for me. Hope this helps & thanks for watching :)

    Can you creat presets above the custom settings? Example 15 Fujifilm recipes ..
    And have them stored on Fujifilm Raw studio ?

    • @TheZachMendez
      @TheZachMendez 2 роки тому

      Yes, you can add custom setting presets that live in Fuji X Raw Studio. Thanks for watching!

    • @TheZachMendez

    Hello Zach and all. I used the X Raw Studio software with Raw files and made my adjustments. Saved it as a jpg file in the original file. I opened Lightroom to import the
    file but LR didn't see the jpg. Not even as a duplicate. I made adjustments on a different image and saved it as a TIF. The TIF file appeared in the LR import window and it was imported. I made a folder and dragged the jpg file into it. then I launched LR and clicked import, chose the new folder and LR saw the jpg file. Strange things are happening here. Why?

    • @TheZachMendez
      @TheZachMendez 2 роки тому

      Strange! I don't know! I'm sure Google might have the answers. Thanks so much for watching :)

    if it doesn't save the edits to the raw file then how do you go back and change it later? It would be so much more useful as a lightroom plugin.

      The RAW file is not touched, it merely supplies the image data. When you click Convert a JPEG is created using your settings. Go to about 8:20 and if you look at the film strip along the bottom you can see an image appear to the right of the RAW file - that's the new JPEG and the RAW is the same as when shot.

    Hi Zach, I wonder if you can help. I took photos with Fujifilm xs10 using FINE+RAW image quality. Then I copied photos to my Macbook Air using USB CARD READER as connection mode. Now when I open Apple Photo app each photos has JPEG+RAW shown on it. After that I wanted to use Fujifilm X Raw Studio to edit RAW photos. I changed Connection Mode on my camera to USB RAW CONV/BACKUP RESTORE, then connected camera to Macbook using cable, opened X Raw studio, but I cannot see any RAW photos. I must have done something wrong, but don't know what. Can you help? By the way, Raw Recording on my camera is switched to LOSSLESS COMPRESSED. Thank you so much for you assistance/guidance!!!

      Michael, if you’re still having issues try to put your photos into their own folder on the hard drive (not into the iPhoto library app) and then navigate to that folder in X Raw Studio and see if that works.

    • @daviddavidd9883
      @daviddavidd9883 2 роки тому

      Michael, does your camera have USB POWER SUPPLY SETTING? If it has it turn it off. Connect your camera directly to the Mac. Don't use a USB hub.

  • @stanobert3475
    @stanobert3475 9 місяців тому

    Why is it necessary to transfer the RAW files to this software directly from the camera rather than the files on the hard drive. This makes no sense!
