this hero feels like the result of a series of confused skill design choices.
strongly agree. almost felt like they specifically created him for Naruto collab. Oh wait-
moonton just cant resist the urge to create balance nightmare heroes every patch for some reason. they'll probably gonna try balancing him for the next few patches, fail miserably, and then give up because how bad his skills are designed and then gut him like they did wanwan.
like moonton seriously just stop. simple heroes like nathan are fine. just because a hero is inherently simple doesnt mean theyre badly designed. complex heroes are fine but suyou is just... not it.
@@tarinm9430 and Suyou isn't even complex lol his kit is simply all over the place and lacks proper direction whatsoever. indeed he will be a balance nightmare cuz right now the only thing going for him is his tap S2 burst and somewhat ok tankiness during immortal stance since mobility is already a given for assassins.
I found that heroes like this where he could be build in multiple way the most fun one to play... example is LiXin from HoK where u can build him attack speed on red transformation while on yellow side you can build burst and sustain

I think the damage reduction from his passive is for *every 20 Extra Attack.* As such you will need 800 Extra Attack to get the maximum damage reduction of 40%. And if I'm not mistaken he gets a 20% Damage reduction by default of his hold form or "Susano" form.
My favourite build for him is the hybrid tanky one.

i am not sure and feel free to correct me but as to how understood it is that 40% damage reduc is his max damage reduction (including the base 20%) so it will max out if you have 400 extra attack
note: 400 extra attack stat is already quite a tall order already =.= it can be reached with full damage but no tank item (unless he goes 3 BoD which wont be Practical)
@@ngcm1000 I'm also not sure about that. But it would make much more sense if the passive's damage reduction is capped at 40%, since 60% Damage Reduction might be too much. Also as you've mentioned it is very difficult to stack up that extra physical attack and it would be counterintuitive to build only BoD.

You might have misunderstood Suyou's Physical Attack to Percentile Damage Reduction, Hororo.
It states in his description that Suyou's Damage Reduction during his immortal state scales off Extra Physical Attack, not Total Physical Attack. This means that he doesn't have a base DMG reduction of 34% at max level on his passive, he can only achieve that with a bunch of Physical ATK items.
Extra Physical Attack is the attack stats that you get from Emblems and Items. That is where Suyou's Damage Reduction scales off from.
This is correct that is why its kinda hard to reach the maximum 40% damage reduction with a legitimate build unless one goes full damage without a single tank item which in most cases is not gonna be wise given how much "true damage" is currently in the game (yes, it literally ignores any sort of defenses or damage reduc except for Flat HP or Shield)

You forget the critical build(play with immortal creature mod while attacking) he had extra 25% basic atk dmg on that state
Idk man I tried him but he feels like a sitting duck once his skills are on cd. And I met suyou a few times in rank but they also did very badly. Once we had a teammate suyou that was dominating the game from start but he started to fall off in late game and we still lost in the end, his kda was 23/7/8, kinda insane, but we got destroyed by enemy argus later (partly because our chou roam at that time used dmg build). And other enemy suyou I met, I used ling those matches so I stealed their farm so much that they fell behind me 4 to 5 levels at times and didn't do much either
The thing is about Suyou is that, he lacks damage.

@@sed782 not straight up lacking, but he can't have both. If he goes full damage he's squishier than freaking Cyclops. If he goes full tank he has zero damage. Don't need to tell you about hybrid. He can't pick squishies from full HP and will get murdered back by them instead.

Since nowadays, Suyou is the MLBB's first-ever build-versatile hero (these 3 plus both lifesteal/spell vamp and cd reduction build) (except magic build tho-), and this video said alot
First-ever? A couple of heroes can be built versatile, the best one I would say is Dyrroth.
Ruby, Sun, Alucard (you can actually use Thunder Spellvamp as a troll and still work), Roger, Khaleed, Thamuz, Arlott, Dyrroth

I usually go for Rapid Boots because Suyou is slow in his Immortal form. War Axe, Thunder Belt, Hunter Strike, Queen's Wings, Malefic Roar or Any Defense Item After that.
i genuinely find Burst Suyou very comfortable to use on exp lane.
You'll be a glasscannon for sure but the mobilty is just enough to escape bad ganks.
well there two problem here first the one hit combo has a problem and it is that first skill is very hard to deal dmg with to enemy and you need to be very close to the target so you can deal the max dmg with first skill and its not that good for ambushing
second is that dmg reduction work with extra physical attack not with base physical attack

To me, he's a hero mainly to kill those in mm range mage heroes. Only not eudora if you go with full dmg build. His s1 hold really has a lot of value stunning opponent. I use thunder belt+3 afterskill extra basic attack items.(endless+boh+windtalker) any squishy mage will retreat after i do 1st skill hold, basic atk, then hold/tap 2nd skill. Thunder belt builds def by stack so i save my 3rd hold skill for "hunting". As for last item it varies, dom/scythe/def item/the 160 physical atk one. Normally i go with purple scythe coz of the extra movement speed after 5 stacks n cd reduction, or u can opt for brute armor too.
Suyou and Lukas was a pinnacle peak where moneytoon doesn't had any idea to create new hero anymore
Can we like, not use every assassin as a darn tank please? I dont mean to be disrespectful but thats exactly why certain heroes and certain items get nerfed, because we keep trying to combine them into each other when it shouldn't be like that in the first place. Besides, that tank build doesn't even work on Suyou anyway, his dmg reduction scales off of EXTRA PHYSICAL ATTACK, meaning he has to use dmg items and emblems to increase it, which why a hybrid build is recommended for a exp Suyou.
Look, it's called freedom. The game gives you this freedom and you should use it. And last of all, suyou isn't a pure assassin, he is an assassin/fighter. So, it's not illegal to put some defense items on him.
@@aahitagnidas8564, I know he's not a pure assassin, that's why I said a hybrid build is recommended for an exp Suyou (maybe jungler too but I haven't tried that yet). And why are you bringing freedom into this? That's not the point at all.
@@notfex1427 if an assassin can forgo damage items and go full tank and still deal damage while being hard to kill thats a balance issue on moontons part, not the player's. if you can build full tank and not get punished for it then that means the hero's base numbers are way overtuned and should be toned down.
this is a good thing as we, the community is shaping the meta and are trying to find multiple ways to enjoy the game.
if moonton makes pure tank items only available to tanks but make tanks not be able to use magic items or attack items wheres the fun in that?
same goes with removing attack damage and magic damage scaling for tanks you can sometimes see that some players use damage tig, damage franco, full magic edith and its a way to enjoy the game once in a while since playing the game all the time whilst abiding by the meta, by the strategy, by the means to always win gets boring.

I have a build that suits the tankyness with burst and sustain.
Build:
First:magic boots
Second:war axe
Third:sky piercer
Fourth: that sickle item that i forgot
Fifth:demon wings
Sixth: blade of despair
Assasin talent with:
Adaptive penetration
Demon hunter thing or that one that gives 50 adaptive damage on 50% hp
And last lethal ignition
Can withstand most of the time while sustaining damage
Isn't that recommendation build?

To say a tanky or fighter build, at least it should be like:
Boots
War axe
Thunderbelt
Queens wings
Oracle
Rosegold
Just build him like terizla ,he cant stay long but his base damage is so good that even full tank he hurts as an exp laner.Super fun with edith,mathilda,and jawhead roam since you can pick 1 target to hate.

I like suyou with 1 shot build but will try other builds and I absolutely like this new hero. He can farm fast, rotate fast, his skill cd are moderately long (not too long and not too short) plus what makes him balanced is that his combo can be disrupted with cc and he doesn't deal that much damage without items, so he is item reliant. Perfectly balanced!
But I kept on getting roasted or doubted by my team when I pick suyou in rank game😭😆

Tanky fighter build work best for him in my opinion with full spellvamp healing him... the only downside is his weakness which is cc... any kind of stun could cancel any of his skill... having no skill to cast mean no healing

@@alemansprototypeguy i think dmg based heroes are item dependent mostly like all Assassin's. Heroes that are not item dependent have like hp based dmg or good teamfight presence with cc skills. Alu does't have both. So he will need it. Otherwise only option is sustainability.
@@loading...7232 Typically fighters aren't that item-dependent like Arlott, Terizla, Cici, Alpha, Thamuz, Ruby, Phov and even Khaleed, Chou and Jaw and since Alu is also a fighter, maybe giving him total physical ATK scaling on all skills could help

aluc has a built in sustain in his kit, though not as good as some other exp laners his ult gives him a passive hybrid lifesteal + Hybrid defense + 50% CD reduction on all skills
he can basically go from zero to full HP in a good clump of enemy or minions
now add 40% damage reduction and he is basically a terizla on steroids lol
Terizla needs to lose his HP and his max damage reduc is 35% but this version of alucard youre talking about has all the things mentioned above + a 40% damage reduction at FULL HP basically he is immortal and is more immortal than ruby or any other heroes with sustain except that he is on full damage lol
The problem with alucard is his splash the moment the minion is getting in the way his spell vamp is hard to counter like look at ruby they literally nerf the living of her spell vamp
Tap second skill deserves a nerf immediately. It’s so free and *shreds* anything despite armor since it deals *high* %HP value

I believe sustain/semi tank build is the best. He's still squishy and vulnerable to CC skills. But I believe as long as you have the bloodlust Axe, any build (except mage) is good

@@Tl.2255 actually tempo reign works when all cd skills except ultimate get reduced after using ultimate skills however in this case like suyou and julian all of their skill are considered as ultimate [also their "ultimate" cd cannot reduce using item cdr] that's why tempo reign are useless for them

I hope alucards passive backswing is reduced along with an extended ult back to 8 seconds switch the hybrid defense for 50% damage reduction and of course adding total physical skills (bring back crit alucard)

New thunderbelt passive change, the true damage is 50 + extra phy and magic defense, so no surprise since she converts extra defence to magic@@wbc5058

Soyou need nerf and adjustment decrease the damage of tap version/mortal form and also decreases the damage reduction of Immortal form from 40 - 30%
280 base attack on lvl 15 is too unfair while argus at 195.

War Axe, Hunter Strike and Queen's Wings are enough. Last two items goes to defense items depending on situation

Hero is a complete design mess, his skills have legit zero synergy with each other, feels like the most random combination of six abillities combined into one hero
