Agreed, his new style is fucking phenomenal but that is some much-needed classic Skeler. Part of me feels like he found the old Tel Aviv lead synth while dicking around in his production software, got a new idea, took it and ran with it - either that, or it was produced around the same time and never saw the light of day.

It is but its really not gona be mainstream big. I discovered wave in its somewhat early days in 2015. I play this stuff all the time for my buddies even when we are assed intoxicated and no one, no one, vibes to it. Its too different for most people. But theres definitely is a crowd. I follow wave groups on socials and theyre doing big wave shows and slowly getting in music festivals. Wave alrdy alrdy "blew up". You can argue its alrdy on its 3rd or 4th generation of djs/producers now. Some old names arent around anymore. Its alrdy "old' where it came from (uk/europe), but internationally a lot of younger producers and djs are getting into the sound.
@@digimon916 By the time dubstep hit mainstream popularity it was already on its 3rd/4th generation artists and whole new sounds were emerging from it. Things don't magically take off over night. People in Croydon played dub plates almost a decade before Skrillex/Brostep hit the mainstream.
@@jonseres agree but its still too "dark". I mean "real" dubstep was dark too until mt eden basically softened it up. Will this music in this exact form now be big...i dont think so.. Will elements of it brach out? Yes. In fact, im hearing wavish sounding songs at major festivals (just bits for transtions), and legit wave songs being dropped by djs (check my channel for those uploads). But my point again....-> people feel the drop then go like "how do i vibe to this? Its kind of different...."

100% feels like the Dubstep movement before it blew up. Not to jinx it but I think we're witnessing a golden age here.
It is but its really not gona be mainstream big. I discovered wave in its somewhat early days in 2015. I play this stuff all the time for my buddies even when we are assed intoxicated and no one, no one, vibes to it. Its too different for most people. But theres definitely is a crowd. I follow wave groups on socials and theyre doing big wave shows and slowly getting in music festivals. Wave alrdy alrdy "blew up". You can argue its alrdy on its 3rd or 4th generation of djs/producers now. Some old names arent around anymore. Its alrdy "old' where it came from (uk/europe), but internationally a lot of younger producers and djs are getting into the sound.

@@digimon916 By the time dubstep hit mainstream popularity it was already on its 3rd/4th generation artists and whole new sounds were emerging from it. Things don't magically take off over night. People in Croydon played dub plates almost a decade before Skrillex/Brostep hit the mainstream.
@@jonseres agree but its still too "dark". I mean "real" dubstep was dark too until mt eden basically softened it up. Will this music in this exact form now be big...i dont think so.. Will elements of it brach out? Yes. In fact, im hearing wavish sounding songs at major festivals (just bits for transtions), and legit wave songs being dropped by djs (check my channel for those uploads). But my point again....-> people feel the drop then go like "how do i vibe to this? Its kind of different...."
