Off topic, but if you are running a business If you use third-party payment platforms, like PayPal, Venmo or Cash App, to collect payments for your side gig or business, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) wants to remind you to report payments of at least $600. These earnings were already taxable so this is not a change in tax law, but rather just a reporting change. This rule is aimed at individuals who run a side hustle, small business or do part-time work. A point from other commentators on Meidas Touch network which may address the outcome here - the Supreme Court has self-interest in preserving the Democratic process. This is why they have opposed Trump at just about every turn in his attempts to overturn the election and install himself as an Executive Dictator. A country which is governed by Autocrats has far less use for a Supreme Court, except perhaps to grant them the appearance of legitimacy. Time the USA sets up an independent body, so that electoral district boundaries are set based on population size, rather than which way may vote or racial demographics.
The reason the Supreme Court has never favored state lawmakers in cases like this is because the legislative branch only has the power to write the rules. The fast-effect powers lie with the executive branch, which of course is limited to the laws. That’s why the GOP’s dueling electors idea in 2020 didn’t carry much of a realistic establishment.
Your statement is a logical paradox. Smart would mean no Trumplicans cause Trump would have been laughed out of the 2016 GOP primaries, which means he could have never appointed those 3 justices. Smart would have also likely have resulted in a competent and rational GOP.
I admit that I know nothing about constitutional law in the USA, but why can supreme court judges not be impeached? Besides, what stops the Senate from appointing 4 more judges to the SCOTUS?
There are nine "Justice" s on the US Supreme Court. It is a lifetime appointment, although they can resign. The President makes the appointment, Congress approves or rejects the appointment. So to answer the question the US Constitution stops the Senate from meddling with the Supreme Court.

I say let them keep voting against voters. We will never have to worry about a conservative majority again.
Yes I’m paying attention
I would think a generic term state "legislature" in the US Constitution would be explicitly specified in the Florida Constitution, and I also suspect Florida SC to be the authority on interpretation of the Florida Constitution.
OH come on!
This......could mean trouble; Democracy itself could actually die here.
I live in New York state and if this goes either way it's okay for me because there's a lot of Republican turds out there that we could gerrymander out of the state including Elise stefanik
Michigan state legislature just got flipped to the democrats and I think they could use this to their advantage too.
From abroad, it shouldn’t be okay for anybody.
@@Moneyboy_Supreme_
One of the things I am watching for - After lining everything up, decades in the making, the Supreme Court chooses *not* to go through with it at the last minute. The only thing 'out of place' being those State Legislatures that flipped to Democrats. It will be so obvious too, because the only reason this case was even heard was the Supreme Court members salivating at this move that would have to change vote.
Based on the comments seem like illiteracy is a major problem in this country
No state should be independent.
Yeah yeah let's hope so

What happened to the notion " US is not run by one person" Queen Barrett.
Any state that negatively affects the other states needs to remember how well that went in 1861.
Well, we’re screwed. It’s been a blast. I HOPE she proves us wrong.
Ohh no!!
We’re ruined. Amy Corny Barrett
Gerrymandering should be illegal
I want everyone to keep in mind that 'State Legislature' translates directly to 'Political Parties' in 2022.
Whom here thinks it is a grand idea to put organizing elections in the hands of the dominate political party in a State?
If ths guy told me anything I would consider it BS ! ! ! !
Florida 2000 was awful. But to have it repeatable state by state would be disastrous.
But doing so would inherently further erode any semblance of that legitimacy in the eyes of most Americans. I don't believe they will go along with it.
I pray you're right

Hey politicians why don’t you let every congressional district have their own vote in presidential elections
We should have packed the court when we had the chance!
You support authoritarianism. Typical leftist
@@brenden4915 Your other left, you Russian bot.
we still do
Oh, then bad rulings would be OK? Fools.
Should just expand it to at the very least 13 justices, bringing it more into line with the appellate courts and the increase in the populations of each districts.
Oh yeah I remember when the 2000 election felt mad lol
America is screwed.
Time the USA sets up an independent body, so that electoral district boundaries are set based on population size, rather than which way may vote or racial demographics.
Sure, as long as my team gets to control the independent body.
Giving Ofjesse a seat on the court effectively removed any shred of credibility it may have had. Pathetic
Liars and individuals that misrepresent themselves have no place in America.
Love the SCOTUS. Also love the whining from the leftists.
Thanks McConnell and Trump for giving us a conservative court... The court seems to debate their own personal views over election integrity itself.

Right. America's founders were opposed to monarch, aka dictatorship
Outlaw Gerrymandering‼️😡
If the Trumplicans were smart, they need to realize that could be used AGAINST them. A big if...
That word: "if". hahahahahaha
They can be impeached. It's a Constitutional process.
There are nine "Justice" s on the US Supreme Court. It is a lifetime appointment, although they can resign. The President makes the appointment, Congress approves or rejects the appointment.
So to answer the question the US Constitution stops the Senate from meddling with the Supreme Court.
Wow. This must be a big threat to your party because we ALL know you don’t GAFF about “democracy.” Don’t worry. I’m sure with a lot more practice you’ll invent the perfect voter rigging system. 🙄
The state does have the power. This is the United States… not United mob of people.
