*Kills Connor* "WHY DIDN'T YOU USE BLOOD MAGIC TO KILL ISOLDE" *Uses Blood Magic to kill Isolde* "WHY DID YOU USE BLOOD MAGIC TO KILL ISOLDE" God damn it, Alistair.
On my first playthrough I wanted to help the mages, but you know in the final battle with ulfric I didn't know how to use those scrolls to prevent the First Enchanter and the other mages to turn into abomination. So yes.... by accident lol
6 replays of the game and I've never experienced this side of Alistair. I love the man too much to anger him, but... I really like this side of him. He's making decisions for himself, standing up against you and for his beliefs. Seeing this side of him really shows his true capabilities as a king. He CAN be one. He has the bronze. He just doesn't like to show it.
I just... I can't stand to see Alistair mad... It just breaks my heart. I would accidently hit the "We need to end this." and I would be like "OH SHIT, NO NO NO NO!" **reload** This just proves what a great actor Steve Valentine is... I could listen to him all day.
I once saved, then clicked it JUST TO SEE, and almost died. He's soooooo crestfallen! Poor guy! I knew I was just checking it out then reloading, and not *actually* breaking up with him, and I still felt my own heart break xD
You should see Inquisition. There's a guy there who acts a lot like Alistair (Cullen). If you break up with him, not even the fires of Hell can punish you.
Tyrion Lannister yeah but for me it just HAVE to be with my hawke idk why maybe because they been through so much together and their personalities are so intertwined with each other 😍
+Dillon Foe I played the first time on PS3 and I had no yelling... but I played on my computer and somehow I couldn't have the same options I did on PS3 and he was uber pissed at me.
+Skye In Wasteland I also never had the angry Alistair, but I kind of want to. He always emotionally manipulates me into a romance with him while I'm waiting for Zevran to ambush me. And then I'm always like ''awww'' and go along with it. Not this playthough though, I'm putting my foot down.
Option missing. WE could of gone to the circle of magi! Me "You mean the circle that no longer exists because they are now in the custody of the Templars or dead! we only had two choices kill Conner or kill Isolde. Tell me which can you choose!"
If it ever came to that decision for me in real life it’d be isolde. She started this, all that blood on her hands, but more importantly, a child’s life is more important than her.
@@victoriasharpe1661 but he is an abomination now. Isolde can have an other child, but Conor is danger for all of us. You can't spare the life of an abomination! The funny thing that everytime I make a mage it was a atheist fck the rules one
First time he got all angry with me over Connor (I may have killed him by accident because I went exploring and ran into him again and triggered the fight) I was terribly insulted. Barely twenty minutes earlier the git had been stood in a room with me saying we SHOULD kill Connor because he was an abomination! Then I felt bad, damnit you giant puppy of a man.
Alistair yelling at the warden scared me. I've never even seen him angry at the warden till this and honestly, just watching this made me feel tiny and a little hurt. Plus, I love him so I can never break up with him or hurt him.
I have never done anything to make Alistair yell at me, didn't even know you could lol. I can't get him not to adore me before getting to Redcliffe and I've TRIED!!! I even read a forum post where someone was having a problem getting him to even be friends with them. I was like...what? how? I take that back I think ONCE I let Isolde do the blood magic thing but that was so long ago I don't even remember it
Alistair being angry with Warden over either straight out killing Connor or using Blood Magic to save him tends to piss me off just as much as actions of all Guerrin adutls in DAO do. We as player on meta level know you can leave Connor and go to Kinloch Hold for help without any issues. But just 24h ago Redcliff was about to be massacred by demon controlled undead. *How* the Warden is supposed to know he can safely leave still possessed Connor in Redcliff Castle, travel to the Circle and back and still expect to find Redcliff not covered in blood of it's citizens? It would take at very least a week to just get to the Circle. Is one possessed noble boy (who if main character believes common sense is pretty much lost cause) more important than all servants who were slaughtered in Redcliff Castle? All merchants, tradesmen, wives and children who lost their lives to the undead army.... Eamon should be happy his subjects never learned what truly happened in his castle or they would march with torches to deal out some good old vigilante justice. Real wold nobles sure as hell got slaughtered by their subjects for lesser offences.
Oh jeebus... It's always nice to see the sides of characters I'll never manage to pull out in my own playthroughs. No way could I do a whole run as a jerk just so everybody will be angry with me. :/ Or break up with Alistair. I mean really. How could I?!
Okay, I know this video is old but I just finished another playthrough and I was wondering how to get that "thanks you didn't make me king dialogue". When does that happen? I didn't harden Alistair, killed Loghain and made Anora rule alone. There's no post-landsmeet-conversation with Alistair? If someone knows/remembers please let me know. Thanks :)
I was reading ahead on the subtitles for many lines. They were a little hard to see, but I managed somewhat. Suddenly at 5:07, "nor the incredible boner they've been given!". _WHAT!_ Then Alistair's voiceover caught up. Ohhh, *honor* , okay, whew...
I'm on 5th play through... I was meant to romance zev last play but that didn't happen.. so I made another elf... I think I need to get a mod that gives zev early on on because alistair moves too quick and I can't refuse his goofy charm.
Alistair is usually so likeable that I'm having trouble starting a playthrough where we side with templars (and thus have to either sacrifice Isolde or kill Connor) and later have Loghain join the wardens
Do we need a lower than 'warm/neutral' approval rating with him to trigger this dialogue, or something? My mage Warden sacrificed Isolde to save Connor and Alistair didn't say Shit when we got back to camp. (I was kind of surprised tbh considering his background, so in a way this makes more sense; just, wow)
Me: hey Alistair, maybe you should blame duncan for me being here. Had he not forced me into the wardens against my will, non of this bad stuff i do would be happening
animal21margret I got the apology option when Alistair comes clean about his real father. I chose angry responses and he kept getting defensive and apologetic. Finally I picked: "I liked you. I just don't know who you are now." or something along those lines. Can't remember. There's a big drop (-100) in his approval after that because I broke up with him. Afterwards, I could apologize but he'd never resume the romance ever again. Just good friends, unless you use the console and alter the romance flag.
Lubbock Falling If you let Isolde finish Connor off and have high persuasion you won't get a big drop in approval from Alastair, even less I think if you let Jowan sacrifice her with blood magic to save him, too. It's really not difficult to save Irving from Uldred for the best option.
Wow this was hard to watch. I’ve only ever been like this once with Alistair, and that was with a male noble whom married anora. Even then, he wasn’t my true enemy like on this video. He’s just too likeable 😔 the only time I can’t stand him is after the events of Redcliffe. Such a hypocrite. He flips at you no matter what route you take unless you save the whole family. He couldn’t have done better, seriously. There are no other options if you release Jowan from the dungeons and can’t go to the circle cause it’s been annulled. Alistair is just too dumb in this scene to realise.

I think it was the games way of saying there was a middle ground: Circle of Magi.
***** But I already took out all the mages... :(
On my first playthrough I wanted to help the mages, but you know in the final battle with ulfric I didn't know how to use those scrolls to prevent the First Enchanter and the other mages to turn into abomination. So yes.... by accident lol
***** *Uldred. I also kinda took out Jowan and when i first met him in the cells...... so that was my bad
I know right it's like you couldn't win either way xD
"Maybe we shouldn't revive him, then."
"WHAT?"
His What is killing me xD
Probably the best "WHAT" anyone's ever said in the history of English XD
"Maybe we shouldn't revive the arl then."
Alistair.exe has stopped working

I love you Alistair

Phoenixfireheart
I wholeheartedly agree :)
I wish they would make Varric a romance option!

alistair's voice acting is so goddamn good, the pain in his voice during the "join me in my tent" options hurts me
if I were playing the game and Alistair yelled at me, I 'd feel like I total moron for making him mad in the first place
"Maybe you should have let her sacrifice herself."
Alistair honey, you would have been just as mad if i had let Isolde die for Connor. 😒
@Ethan Schultz hindsight is 20/20. He feels bad if you kill one and regrets letting you do it.
2:06 was just too fucking good
I wheeze-laughed at that delivery, holy shit
Seeing alistair angry is kinda hot tbh although i'd feel really bad about myself and never start the game again if that happened.
I thought I was the only one who thought this 😂😂😂
I'm laughing my ass off omg. Angry Alistair scares me and so that makes me laugh..
Same hahaha was laughing my ass off out of mild fear
Option missing. WE could of gone to the circle of magi!

Alistair has a fantastic voice actor.
Indeed
"I don't think I like your tone" for some reason seeing that option then it panning out just fucking killed me for some reason.
It's funny how you can solve any problem with Alistair if you have boobs.
2:06 wHAT
Farencius459 I laughed so hard holy shit
Sniffle... how could you be mean to alistair? HOW?
Angry Alistair...SCARY!!
*cries in corner*
This is so hard to watch. Alistair is my little fluff muffin. The break up was so fucking hard to watch oh jeezus...
Alistair yelling at the warden scared me. I've never even seen him angry at the warden till this and honestly, just watching this made me feel tiny and a little hurt. Plus, I love him so I can never break up with him or hurt him.
I was waiting for Alistair to yell at me even when I managed to save Connor & Isolde, lucky me he didn't.../whew

Gaslighting Alistair and other fun things.

Alistair is so easy to manipulate, it's incredible.
5:56 what about the other option? What was he going to discuss.
DON’T MAKE THE DORKY PUPPY HUSBAND MAD
Alistair is usually so likeable that I'm having trouble starting a playthrough where we side with templars (and thus have to either sacrifice Isolde or kill Connor) and later have Loghain join the wardens
The second one irritates me, not entirely sure why. Maybe the fact that Alistair gives in so easily to it, I dunno. It's just....irritating.
Why am i laughing at this haha
I'm laughing too, it's just suddenly "HOW DARE YOU KILL SIFIDBSIICJSS" haha (':
0:37? lol wtf he shouts at you even more if you sacrifice Isolde to save Connor (1:23), and contradicts himself about blood magic being worth it

What exactly do you have to do to get him to say Duncan would be disgusted?
What mods are you using? That armor is gorgeous and I love the goatee.
The fiestbtime Alister yelled at me me i almost cried. And it was confusing because its just a game
When we can apologise Alistair?
When you say something mean, for example if you say Duncan got what he deserved.

I don't like angy Alistair it makes my heart sad.
get on Alistair's bad side, then as a human noble have him executed while marrying the queen, epic backstab
The stuff you can choose for the warden to say is priceless. This is why he needs to come back with a voice.
If that happened, what you could say would be more limited. Like Shepard in Mass Effect or Hawke. Voice actors aren't cheap.
