It would be great if you did a video on how to add more beats to a scene. Some define a beat as a turning point. I like Robert McKee's notion of a beat being the smallest unit of story telling. You kind of touched on it when you spoke about roller coaster scenes. I often get stuck in that I don't know how to extend scenes without it being really boring.
It would also be great if you could do a video tone. It's so hard to keep the tone consistent and loud throughout. Also deciding on what the tone should be is also a headache.

I like your ideas!
Thanks! People pay money for this and you give it to us gratis! What a blessing!
Thanks for the comment! That always encourages me to make more:)
Yes, I give away all my info instead of selling it. For you!
It would have taken a life time to figure all this out. Amazing. Thanks for demystifying so many cliché buzz words with true applicable meaning.
That end scene from Grease is one of my favourites. Perfect resolution!
Agreed. Without both external and internal resolutions, my stories don't feel complete. Thank you.
This is a lifetime lesson for me. How to craft resolution without crossing the Premise of your film is hard to many screenwriters. Ending is harder than beginning.
Thank you so much !
brilliant! a great ending or finale is what resonates most with the audience. You ought to cover Sunset Blvd. - still relevant, still rings true.
I'll put Sunset Boulevard on the list of possible vids -- thanks!
Great advice, I was lucky enough to do that in my current screenplay. But after watching this video, I will check it again.
You put so much thought & work into this. You’re a rare treasure.
Thank you!
WORD DANCER, YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!!!! LOVE YOU.
That was a really practical lesson. Thank you. I can run with that. Your videos are all brilliant. So clearly explained and in an interesting way.
thanks buster!
WD you are such a genius. You hit every point that ive been needing to hear
Wonderful movie moments! Thanks for sharing..
Awesome stuff here. It gave me some ideas about how to end my screenplay...adding a little to the ending. Thanks.
Yeah!!
Amazing amazing amazing content! I´m devouring all the videos and learning so much! Thank you!
Great videos, and thank you. I’m in the process of forcing a son of mine, a film major at Vanderbilt, to watch all your excellent productions
Yea! Another WD video! I know you're a busy gal but please keep these gems coming!
Thanks Jeff!
Great information as always. As a film watcher though I'm bored with relationships and want to see a film set away from earth where they aren't out to get us
Thanks, WD! Brilliantly luminous information and presentation as always. Yes, one really needs to understand humans to be a good writer. I think the very final scene after the climax could also be called, "the cuddle"
+Erik J
The cuddle! I like it!
It's yours. You are an inspiration and a gifted teacher. Your videos are more valuable than choice gold.
I love this channel. Your videos are really helpful and you really know your stuff!
Thanks, Harry!
Fantastic video! Thanks so much!
Amazing video
A very good one, I really did not pay attention to the anatomy of the resolution.
That has to be understood very well.
Thanks, manu!
Very nicely presented and quite beneficial. Thank you!
Cool! Thanks!
Word dancer, I've Loved all your content so far. But you took it to another level for me by kicking things off with Rocky, my favorite film! Thank you for the continued advice, and keep the videos coming.
+John Ravasio
Thanks, John!
I wonder: if the story is a tragedy, what advice would you give for that resolution?
Depends on the needs of your story, but in general, I would mix in a touch of hope on some level so it isn't completely depressing. Like Titanic.
Do you think you could do a video for screenplays with two heroes?
I'll stick it on the list :)
Thank you!
You are the best!
Oh I would love to be doing it or just directing.
OMG so true! Thank you! :)
Another great video!
Thanks!!!
Got it, thank you!
