[TRANSCRIPT: Oh, okay. So, I repeat the question but not in a question format. Got it. Okay, I’ll start again. Hahaha, my name’s Tracie. Braam. Australian. J-A-R-R-O-D. Total of, I mean, I think. I need to do math. 8 years. 9 years. Can I jump? Am I allowed to jump? Technically it’s 8 years but this year will be 9th. I joined Convo in May 2016. I’ve been with Convo for 8 years this May. I started one year after Convo was founded. Why do I stay at Convo? That’s a really great question. It’s always been a big vision from Day 1. Always. And to have people come together to work together, and sharing that vision, continues to remind me that it’s not just one idea. It’s becoming a bigger collective of ideas. It’s continually evolving, always doing something interesting, something challenging. Really, my passion is seeing change, that whatever we do, we see results actually happening. The impact. People. It’s always the people. The group of people sharing the same philosophy. I love working towards the same goal together. My reason changes throughout time. I go to work, and when it’s 5 or 6 o’clock, I’m still working because I want to. I don’t feel ugh about it. I’m not looking at the clock. It’s just a part of my life. Convo is a beacon for me. If it solves my challenges, it’s solving millions of other people’s challenges, too. We really care about deaf people’s needs, their wants. I have an opportunity to work with people that have similar goals. It’s a nice feeling, like I’m part of a community. Convo is Deaf-owned, Deaf-run, and signing-centric. This company is the best company I’ve worked for, in the VRS realm. I just love it. I love the culture, the people. I love the callers. Community. Convo has a good sense of community. It’s just family. Convo is my second home. If the vision was small, I don’t know that I’d still be here. What does Convo look like in the next 15 years? Hmm. That’s a hard one. In the next 15 years, what you’ll see from us is an increased sense of urgency. Whatever idea we have, we’ll make sure it happens tomorrow, and not in 2-3 years. In the next 15 years, you’ll see quick changes and not as slow as before. A question for us: why should we wait? Every moment, every day, week, year that we wait on is lost. Lost moment, lost opportunity. A family at a dining table, just waiting. It will be a better life for deaf people going forward, yes. I look at my son, who’s now 7 months old, and I think about how Convo can support his future opportunities in the next 15 years. Exciting things [are coming] because I’ve seen what Convo can do and can grow from up to today. I see it going worldwide, more globally, and sharing the same goal of making an impact on our deaf, hard of hearing, and deafblind communities. I feel like our service sectors will expand and the impact, the lives we touch, and the number of conversations we take on every day will grow exponentially. We expect to see rapid growth globally. The past 15 years, we’ve been a seed growing and a sprout peeking its head out of the soil. In the next 15 years, we’ll finally see a flower bloom.]
