A great detour for motorcycles | Stord, Vestland | Norway - (Fv545 & Fv5070)

- This detour is sooo much nicer to ride than the "natural" choice E39 when riding across the island Stord on the west coast of Norway. It is actually not that many minutes you have to add to ride a superior road for motorcycles and scenery compared to E39. The traffic is only a fraction of that on the main road, and the curves of this road are simply great. Highly recommended alternative if you ride across Stord!

@@blearyview2254 it is a bit cold (has been as low as -12 degC) here in western Norway (Bergen), but nowhere near as cold and snowy as in other parts of Norway.
Nice! I've driven (car and motorcycle) the E39 route many many many time ... and yeah, a little boring. The west route looks really appealing. Next time I'm going that way.

Dont forget to ride up to the wind mills at the mountain just east of Fitjar, it has a apectacular view.....
@SvenOlsen I thought the roads up there are blocked? Looks like a great area with many roads, if they are available…
@@TheTor_Detours no the main road to the mills is always open, there is a big parking there for the hikers.
