Actor Milla Jovovich showed her support for her place of birth by wearing a Ukrainian-designed dress at the 28th annual amfAR gala in the south of France.
Born in Kyiv to a Russian mother, Jovovich said she still had family and friends in the war-torn country.
"I felt like it was right and proper to be able to represent one of my country women doing something that makes them happy," the “Resident Evil” star told Reuters.
