Dami was in another company before she joined Happyface Company (later Dreamcatcher Company) in 2014. Her first company didn't think she would amount to anything so she was always in Group B (trainees who probably wouldn't debut). The group A girls got all the vocal lessons and Dami used to sneak into the room next to the lesson room and watch through the two way mirror. She left because she knew she would never debut, and when she joined Happyface the vocal coach there suggested she rap, and since she already liked rap she did that. Both Sua and Yoohyeon left other companies to end up at Happyface.
When Dami was in middle school she choked on a piece of pineapple that got stuck in her throat, and she almost died. She hates everything about pineapple and anything that's pineapple flavored.
I've never heard Dami's backstory in that much detail before; where did you hear this..? 🙂
And Gahyeon passed the audition both in YG and SM but rejected them and joined HAPPY FACE to debut quickly if i'm not mistaken...

Dami....In elementary school, she won first prize at a national choir competition. She's the second highest pitch in DC..

At some point, be sure to check out the "Dreamcatcher being unfiltered idols" series. There are four parts. There will be some overlap after the guide and the "This is..." stuff, but there are some gems in unfiltered, for sure. Also, random af, but I collect albums and JiU photocards. I can confirm that the Choccy Milk Gahyeon is always in high demand. Most cards don't usually get that high. For preorder benefits and fansigns, the absolute highest you'll usually see is $20. They were on Moonbyul's show 3 separate times
The three times they were on Studio Moon Night (Odd eye, BEcause, Maison) my Insomina- MooMoo heart was happy. Just like my Insomina- Monbebe heart was when they were Idol Radio on wolf the times two of my Monsta X boys MCed.
Dami, my other bias.. the first member that got me attention. The calmest member of this crazy group. Use to room with JiU and Siyeon but now has her own room.
Dami and Yoohyeon- 97 line. Pieces and a Capricorn.. just like Moonbyul and Solar, but their chemistry and interactions between each other are so different. Dami has some similarities to Byul and Byul is my Mamamoo bias. Dami and Handong get along well because they are both the calmer members.. sometimes they just watch the chaos and other times they add to chaos.
Yoohyeon.. loved to wreck me in You and I.. She is very much a puppy. She rooms with SuA.. Tom and Jerry.. Self taught English, Chinese and other languages.. she love to learn languages.
Gahyeon- our beloved makane that love to get her way by being boss baby or just by playing makane card. Siyeon is very protective of Gahyeon. Gahyeon and Handong are roommates. Gahyeon became a rapper after SuA decided to focus more on her vocals thus they started training Gahyeon as a rapper and her rapper debut was Piri. Handong and Gahyeon are the only members without siblings.
They have been on “Sing in 3 languages three times” and it’s something I recommend.

Introducing Dreamcatcher, Dreamcatcher Montage, Unfiltered Idols, Relatable Idols, DC and their idol friends, DC and their animal counterparts, chemistry series that is basically the interactions/chemistry between 2 members, Dreamcatcher A Mass.. just a few other things that Insomnicsy has and some of them are also series. Insomnicsy is A+ content.
Before I got into DC, Mamamoo and Monsta X, I listened to a lot of TVXQ 5 members, 2NE1 and Big Bang- high school and collage. Those groups have members that are the same age or around my age.. CL and Minzy are the youngest of 2NE1 at 1991 and 1994.
Yoohyeon was my dreamcatcher bias wrecker, she sings really well, dances so well, her personality is a 100/10, has one of the best bodies in kpop, she picks up things so fast, i LOVE YOOHEON!!

It was their 4th Anniversary live, a full week before the Odd Eye comeback, and Yoohyeon just sang the song for us. Handong has potential but from all the solos and special clips they've actually done so far Yoohyeon is my favorite voice in the group. People who only know Hold up I'm a geek the big paradox never believe Dami is actually the cutest member in real life. She choked on pineapple as a kid and hates it now. It's Dreamcatcher canon that SuA and Siyeon are Gahyeon's two moms (from a live with SuA, Siyeon, Dami); and she ALWAYS sees Suayeon happening. She was in High School when they debuted causing confusion between the baby and modern hot AF grown woman.

If i'm not mistaken Yoohyeon only did 2 gaming livestreams on Dreamcatcher's channel, in one she played Fall Guys, and in the other she played Five Nights At Freddy's and PUBG, and Gahyeon did 1 where she played PUBG. Sadly they're no subbed, but Insomnicsy subbed some parts. (yoohyeon playing PUBG for 6 minutes & gahyeon playing PUBG for 5 minutes).
Yoohyeon is my ULT bias. I think she could be a main vocal, I think some people might not realize how good of a vocalist she is. OMG, do you have any idea how long I’ve been waiting for a glasses Yoohyeon section!? Dreamcatcher Mind Ep. 6 will help you understand my decision here. So, their light stick only comes with two extensions, but the official merch store sells more extensions so you can make a literal staff

Dami debuted in minx as a rapper aready. She never really said she always wanted to be a rapper or not, but i assume she actually joined the company as a trainee to be a singer, since she did mention she was in school choir when she was younger and after she won a prize she decided to pursue music as her job. She also said at first she didnt like her voice because it was hard for her to reach high notes, but she has come to accept her low tone as a good thing that makes her stand out, so she is happy with her voice today. I do believe dami joined to be a singer, but eventually grew feelings for rapping and is happy to do it nowadays. But since she sings a decent amount of lines in their bsides, it's safe to say she does have some level of vocal training even as a rapper.

Insomnicsy isn't Korean though. She's from the Phillipines. Si is pronounced shi but sy doesn't exist in Korean so you can pronounce it the English way.

Yeah the only places in Canada K-pop artist will go would be Toronto, Montreal and maybe Ottawa and Vancouver. No shot they go anywhere in the prairies especially not Winnipeg where I’m from lol

Hi Shayla, I really enjoy your reacts. If you want to see Dami singing, I recommend you react to her video with Siyeon singing Shadow - Dark Hole OST. There are 2 versions of this song, one slower and the normal version. I recommend seeing both.
All members of Dreamcatcher are trained in rap and singing. On the b-sides and on some covers they change position. They have a Yaja Time unit, where the main vocal is Yoohyeon, the rapper is Siyeon, the maknae is Sua.

Yoohyeon's the _leader_ of Yaja Time (albeit a useless one who can't organise anything... 🤣), but I don't recall them ever saying that one of them was a main vocal (honestly, if they did, I'd assume it'd be Bong again, since normally SuA's neither main nor lead... 😜)...
Oh. One more thing. Don't feel bad about getting Handong and Yoohyeon confused. That's a common one for newer folks. I did that same thing. I found out about Dreamcatcher after BEcause.
