The Wolverine Van Helsing skin is probably inspired by the movie Van Helsing since Hugh Jackman played as Van Helsing in that movie. Finally Captain America is getting buffed really liked playing him but damn does he lack the damage to truly shine or having a cooldown in using his shield(as long as it has hp) is really detrimental in IMO.

I know a lot of people won’t care about marvel rivals’ story and lore but introducing new characters through the in-game story is a brilliant idea imo. I don’t think I’ve ever played a game like league, DOTA, Overwatch, etc. that’s done something like that. Like one seamless story with connected seasons. Does valorant do that?? I guess since they already have so many characters to pull it’s easier for them to do something like this?
To be fair we needed new maps so bad. Not heroes as much, more balancing. Though I am excited to see what all characters show up, sorta like smash in that aspect I already have a few mains but I'm hype to see how much changes the meta.
Was playing OW2 daily and keen to try out Rivals, yet at the same time lazy and skeptical if I will like it. Glad I went ahead and tried it, now I’m hooked for a few weeks and ever since playing it, not a single time do I feel the need to log back in to OW2, nor miss it, nor think about it at all.
I haven't been playing OW in months, so I tried MR and it's fun, but all it did was make me miss OW 1st person view and game polish, and got me back for the new season. Good to have more games in the genre though.
Started playing this game on New Years Eve at close to midnight. Been absolutely loving it and these updates are amazing. So far the community seems better than the extremely toxic OW community. It seems only the die-hard OW fans are left playing it and they are constantly in a state of rage if they are not winning. Whereas there's a massive amount of people playing Rivals so the majority of games are relaxed and fun. There's been some complaining about hero picks but not much.
Interestingly enough, I saw the same kind of comment in an OW comment section where people said the game is so much friendlier now and assumed it was because the toxic people who "forced themselves to play OW" left for Rivals. What I mean to say is: I think that's anecdotal and will vary greatly on who you ask. I've had pretty good interactions with players in Rivals so far, though. Enough that I haven't felt the need to mute anybody or the whole chat yet.
I will say in regards to the battle pass currency. There is now a reason to keep grinding for it from Season 1 onward. Say you didn't play a season very much and didn't unlock much in that battle pass (Season 0 for example) All extra currency once the Season 1 battle pass is completed is now essentially backwards compatible for the older passes that never expire. Or you can just go right to those if you don't like the current battle pass content as much. It provides a really good flexibility and choices. For those who are a bit sour that the tokens reset, you need to think of them more as battle pass experience rather than as a currency, because that is essentially what they are. You don't expect battle pass XP to carry over in a game like Overwatch and it is the same for Marvel Rivals except under a different name. Difference is, you now get to spend the extra currency you might earn next season on the old passes that will never expire! I think it is great, and the devs are killing it so far. Looking forward to season 1 ^-^
They were very strategic when they released their game not only was it fully finished. They also had so much more Contant ready to go. That’s what I call Stephen ahead of the game.

nah they started off with alot its acc crazy and I had a feeling they would add a doom game mode I hope its like space marines 2 or some like you fight small enimies and go level to level and fight doom as final boss with ur squad
$10 for 10 skins in the BP (that doesn't expire) is a screaming deal in this day and age of macrotransactions, and even outside of that would be a fair price in general. Finally, it's a F2P, live-service game that has some respect for people's time and wallets, and I'm sure that incentivizes people to spend when they don't have to feel like it's them vs the devs, but rather its them supporting devs that are actually trying to make a fun, satisfying game.
Are they talking about like a zombies mode against vampires?! With like a team of 4 going against waves of vampires that sounds kinda badass, at least like for a break in between the pvp.
Plus being transparent that season 1 has double the content of normal seasons, ow would not tell us that and then it’d look like they’re falling off and getting lazy, and that still means 2 heroes and 1-2 maps a normal season, and with 3 months seasons that means 8 heroes a YEAR. Compared to overwatch 2’s 3-4 a year, that’s just insane
You can really feel the competence of its development team. The heroes and maps were all done before launch, so take that with a grain of salt, but the fact that within the month of asking, they already have streamer mode, and a different graphics setting ready for lower end PCs is nuts. All they really need to fix now is the gameplay being tied to fps issue, which is probably a harder fix, so im not suprised that will take a little longer.
You mean a game starting season One had a whole bunch of content ready to start the game with after holding back half of it for beta/season zero? Im shocked
Eastern devs are just really on a different level.. Yeah they are quite predatory with monetization but they make sure to pump out a shit load of content and listent to player feedback and implement them fast
I really hope that the content doesn’t slow down to be the likes of overwatch, literally the very first season of the game gave more content than the release of OW2
Reminder that Overwatch 2 launched with three heros and six maps so a single season of Rivals has almost as much content as 3 years of work on Overwatch 2
I’m glad they’re not going with the whole monetized route cuz that kills games QUICK, even tho to look good you gotta spend “Some” money. It’s still fun to just grind for the currency you need to do whatever. Also it’s literally Marvel…they have plentyyy of money
Side note, they have PLENTY of hero’s at their disposal to release in the Marvel Universe. Comic & MCU soooo why not crank them out quickly? 2 at a time seems very reasonable
There were deff times I was excited for OW1 and OW2, I wont deny that. But Im going to say, this FIRST season of M Rivals is already more exciting and interesting than ANYTHING OW EVER did. Impressive.
Blizzard had the hero shooter genre in a chokehold and got complacent. They promised PVE content in OW2 and broke that promise. OW2 essentially became a patch update that moved from 6v6 to 5v5 and modified abilities and health pools. They SLOWLY dripped new heroes and took forever to implement feedback. And now, because of their complacency, Rivals had a tremendous opportunity to take the crown. And they have. I play Rivals daily and haven’t touched OW2 in about a month. And I’ve been playing since OW1, season 1.
Honestly if Iron Man and Wolverine are going to be common picks during the season, you will still activate your team up to get the 800hp, perharps 650 tho but it's something
Ngl, this feels like they are giving too much for a first season drop, i wouldnt want them to give too much now and have nothing later and fans get upset over it. Its a good time as an avid enjoyer and I hope my joy for this game is everlasting. Edit: when I say run out of Ideas, I want to make it clear I dont mean run out of characters to release, obviously if anyone knows marvel, they have a huge arsenal under their belt, what I mean is unique and innovative characters being released alongside maintaining the roster size as to not be so massive for a Hero shooter.
They definitely have a ton of material to work with. Unlike Overwatch where they have to create interesting characters out of thin air. There's literally dozens of Marvel characters I would love to see added off the top of my head and I'm sure most fans feel the same way.
I should have continued ranking up in rank instead of stopping at gold for the skin and being busy during the holidays. I don't want to go back to bronze lobbies 😭💔 they were so awful, hopefully it wont be such a slog this time🤣. I got a couple days maybe I just grind it out before it ends lol
It's nice to see you genuinely excited over a hero shooter again after Overwatch killed their community's passion for the game with several poor decisions. Marvel Rivals has me so much more excited than I thought I would be and I haven't played much OW since, but I do hope the competition pushes Blizzard to do better to try and bring players back and retain what they do have left.
4 hero’s in season 1, and ultron, Emma frost, Jean gray/Phoenix, and blade also leaked, those could be fake but that could mean 4 hero’s in season 2 as well
He said it's double the features of a normal season, so most likely Season 2 will get 2, maybe 3. I think it would be a good idea for 2 so we don't burn out too fast.
Marvel Rivals gives you 10x more content after a MONTH than Overwatch in half a year ;d
a lot of ow people are mad about this for some reason.
Makes you wonder what would be possible in OW if they weren't mismanaging it and seemingly only focusing on the shop.

Reminder that Overwatch 2 launched with three heros and six maps so a single season of Rivals has almost as much content as 3 years of work on Overwatch 2
So addicted to this game even though I’m just a casual
I love your channel
With Cap and Venom buffed, and Hulk supposedly losing his seasonal health buff, I fear for the future viability of the green guy.
Honestly if Iron Man and Wolverine are going to be common picks during the season, you will still activate your team up to get the 800hp, perharps 650 tho but it's something
That hoodie looks insanely comfortable, what’s the name of the brand?
they are cookin, these devs are awesome!!!
Apparently the content here is double what a normal season is gonna give us.
Not gonna lie i feel like i don't deserve this much content in one season just because we used to get so little in Overwatch lol
Well unlike overwatch. They have 100s of characters they can pull from the comics,so it will take awhile to run out of ideas👍
it’s marvel.. they have like infinite content to build off
@@Yaqins tbh I get this feeling lol
They definitely have a ton of material to work with. Unlike Overwatch where they have to create interesting characters out of thin air. There's literally dozens of Marvel characters I would love to see added off the top of my head and I'm sure most fans feel the same way.
5:01 what you smiling at Sty? 🤣
i was going to say the same thing
Damn they're cooking with this game man wtf
This video reminds me of early Overwatch Stylosa :D Also love that hoodie :D
Trailer for reed just dropped btw
thank god they added subs. also still no optimization
So in the next seasons we should be expecting 2 heroes and 1 or 2 maps, right? Since they said that this is a big size season
Was really hoping Thing would be in the first pair. The game really needs more vanguards. Otherwise, this all sounds great!
With the awkwardness in the way they talk obviously english being their second language, I can believe they are actually devs.
Spell check title. Vision
Is it just the crono token being taken any or is it all the currency you earn
4:55 imagine if they secretli released dracula as another hero lol , people would looose their minds
