The board is so versatile, there isn’t a whole lot this board can’t offer that other boards can. It’s like the perfect mixture of all the available boards on the market. Well done!
I wish your board was more popular in Europe guys :( It's a little dream of mine to try out a Tension board one day. I love training days on Kilter but Tension looks way much demanding, like the next step in board climbing. Sadly, I can't write a review. Loved the video
Midway through (just finished last rip on YSTB) and it’s very interesting how Nick looked a bit smoother on most of the moves, but struggled more on the hard funky flip in the middle. I think it’s a very interesting example of how two elite boulderers, whether by difference in height, strengths, or preferred climbing medium, are having visibly different experiences on the climb kinesthetically, but similar experiences grade/challenge wise
It's awesome to hear the insights into these beastly moves, and even better to see the movement applied on the wall! Both fun to watch, and good to learn from!
I'm British and we generally just use woodys. Basically spray walls with small incut wooden holds. Honestly a lot more interesting than the tension board
@@lawsong6663 I train a lot on woody, too and I won’t stop doing that. I just really like that the TB2 brings a little bit of that woody aspect into the commercial board game.
I love the board I run the 8x12 mirror right now. I’ve climbed every board (moonboard, kilter, tension, spray, grasshopper, beastmaker) and this one is definitely my favorite! However I am coming across one major flaw is their 8 versions of the one board. They have… 4 versions for Mirror and 4 for Spray.. this REALLY dilutes the setting and splits the community :( With no kicker, which is amazing by the way, you don’t really need a board smaller than 8x12 for home use. The first Tension Board has 50k boulders last I checked! Just for example the original Moonboard and KilterBoard had over 15k climbs each. The Moonboard has about half as many holds as well.. Right now the TB2 Mirror has approx 8k total climbs on the largest version: 12x12 8k boulders, 10x12 53 boulders, 8x12 5k boulders, and the 10x8 has 404 boulders. I don’t ever see the 8x12 version getting up to 50k boulders with so many versions out. Go for the 12x12 if you can!! So you can try these climbs on their videos. I would love to have just one or at the very most two versions of each layout and it would be perfect. A 12x12 full and 12x8 small version would be just fine. Great board besides that! Thanks for all your hard work!
My local gym Tufas if Philly recently switched over from the TB1 to the TB2 and I’m loving it! The thoughtfulness that is clear in the shaping of the TB2 holds makes for an incredibly fun and diverse climbing experience. Loving training on this board! Also your videos are fire! Keep up the good work!
Though I know top tier crushers are more eye-catching to watch, but I also really want to see a training/coaching sessions featured average/intermediate climbers on TB2. After all, 99% of people using the board don't climb V12+.
Very new to the board. I tried it once and barely got anyone. It's difficult. My ambition at this point is to complete a V3. Meanwhile I can dream grandiose dreams while watching videos like this one.
Don't let it deter you! Be sure to ease into it with the angles. It’s always our suggestion to start at a less steep angle to give yourself a chance to learn the hand and footholds. Try starting somewhere around 10-20° overhung so that you can get your bearings. Once you feel like you’re able to knock down a lot of boulders at that angle, start incrementally moving to steeper terrain. Hope this helps!
Is it allowed to step on the little edge of the kicker? ^^ how are you supposed to do this if your board doesn’t have a kicker, edge or sanded surface?
Dude. I would rathwr watch this than the fuckin compy shitty boulders with jumps and parcours integrated with it. This is legit hard-core climbing. No-nonsense. You guys should start national spray and mirror layouts comps. I'm sure peeps would appreciate it way more than the current comps.
God I hope you guys make 10 seasons of this with 128 episodes per season
I really hope they do
AGREED
I think those might've been a little bit harder than v12
god seeing Drew in 4K really just made me lose my 2-week edging streak

the board lord series is top tier
The editing on the Boulder breakdowns was so clean
Both of these getting 12 is insane considering both Nick and Drew are 8C/8C+ climbers LMAO
Had their number
Wedge and Tension both dropping board videos on the same day!? What a treat 🤜🏼🤛🏼

I cannot wait to climb on this at some point

I volunteer to film the board lords matchup everyone is dying to see--Mikey V Quinn
Honestly TB 2 is a terrific breakthrough in board climbing. To me it combines small holds with comfy holds better than any other board.
I’m nearly brand new to this channel, with the first episode that got me hooked the prior board lord. Great content, please keep it up

I always like the aesthetics of TB2. I feel it is a middle ground between Moon board and Kilter board, anyone agrees?
