    You make me want to buy a Sansui G 7000 really bad ! I just bought the Marantz 2270 and I am really happy with the sound . I also just bought some RSL Elan speakers. I cant wait to try them out after I set up my audio rack so all the wires will reach. You have some really nice speakers ! There is a man that has the Infinity Delta 60 , about 2 hours from where I am . He is in Los Angeles, I am in San Diego . All the best . I really dig your videos !

    Hi
    I love your enthusiasm for Sansui. I currently have a 1974 Sherwood s-7200 and it's to step it up a notch. After watching tons of reviews, I'm on the search for a Sansui g-6000 or G-7000. Nothing bigger. I like that these 2 models do not have side hook-up. And they do have the 4 needle display. The g-5000 only have 2.
    Keep shooting those videos, Love them

    I just got one just like that...my problem is when i connect my wires to the receiver and i have trouble with sound getting out to one of the speakers...is it the wire itself or is it the Sansui

    Gorgeous amps you own andrew. I just bought a Sansui G-5500 in mint condition, I cleaned it and deoxit the pots and it sounds outstanding. Plus I love those huge knobs.
    I am now looking for a Marantz 2265B like yours and a Harman Kardon 930, to add to my collection.

    Andrew, what are your thoughts on the 1980 Sansui models with digital tuner, like the 6700? Personally I like analog over digital, but I am wondering if the build quality is still there on the 6700 like the G6000, 7000, etc. What year started the decline in Sansui build?

      Music_Kewl_Kyle I never heard them but I believe there will be not much sound difference. Just watch the specs. The thing is, you have to like the looks. I am not a fan of those half digital, half analog tuners but taste is different and personal, so if you like the looks over a X000 serie why should you not go for one. For me the big X000 serie with the 4 big meters are the most beautiful. The X000 series are however more expensive. Up to the 7000 the price is still good but the 8000 is getting more expensive and the 9000 cost you now 1200$ in america and minimum 1600 in europe. The 22000 is almost doubled in price in 1 years time. Last year you could find a 22000 for 2000 euro but in europe it is now impossible to find one for that price, just double it and you are lucky to score one. So when these bigger X000 are getting more expensive every year it is normal that the X700 series will follow them. You can find in europe for about 800/1000 euro a 9700 so almost the half of a 9000! When in the near future the 9000 cost 3000 euro the 9700 will rise to 1500/1800 , this is how the market work. So buying them is a good investment, for the sound I believe not a big difference, they are still cheap now.

      +Paulo Martins it's not really hard for me and many other vintage lover, the choice is so simple. Should have written the louvre , they can rent my sansui for 1000 a year, modern art department.

      +Paulo Martins I don't know, my best receiver ever is the sansui g-901db, didn't review it yet. but there are bigger sansui's(g-22.000 and g-33000_ so they probably sound better. Also te very big marantz receivers will probably sound better but not sure abut that, think of marantz 2600 ore pioneer 1980. Those ones are to expensive for me. I paid 1200 euro for my sansui g-901db that's my top.

      @vintagestereo  9 років тому

      Carlos Mergulhão so if it awesome why not keep it like this...why do you have to re assemble it again? Can't you just keep the best amp like it is and buy new parts for the other amp building and testing?
