Hey let's not judge this singer too quickly, she has the look and sound of someone who has been classically trained. When you're trained you also receive lessons on stage etiquette and you absorb the technique as second nature.
Lisbeth was not classically trained and so she's free to do her own thing. She sounds great and so emotional because she's got no inhibitions.

Excellent reply my friend she is conveying the rawness of a pure warrior there are no great warriors any real warrior will tell you that she is classically trained. she is excellent also remember it's done in a theater, not a studio so the quality suffers but she conveys a true warrior fights for something greater than his or her own ambitions

I totally agree!! Also, Liz shows more passion on stage. In this version is like agent Smith is singing. Even in the last minute that all hell breaks lose, she remained comatose!
As far as I can tell so far, they use a lot of ancient latin verses (probably written by medieval monks in some cases). The music composition for these pieces come much later or are adapted.
If you're familiar with The Irish Tenors, their rendition of "Deus Meus" (which was quite good) is a good example.
So the words may well have been referring to Jesus. Latin being a dead language and all, I could see even avowed atheists not having a problem using latin words at all...

She doesn't quite put the same emphasis in the tone that Lisbeth Scott does, but she pronounces the Latin words better

I think I read somewhere that this piece of music was used in the Spiderman 2 trailer, so that's probably why they show footage of that, although unfitting, that's true.

@one5860 Sorry, I will not be posting anymore performances to Trailer Music Live. It was very difficult and time consuming to get this and Diem Ex Dei up so enjoy those. I preordered Trailerhead Saga and got the DVD with it. I would post more but it is very difficult for me to get them on the computer.

this singer has like, no power in her voice compared to Lisbeth Scott. And she was really unprofessional when she turned her head away from the mic during that one bit before the horns' section comes in.
