Angus Young's duck walk is a tribute to Chuck Berry. Chuck was still performing at 90 before death in 2017. He influenced bunch of bands and singer to the present such as AC\DC and Rolling Stones.
@@blueduck5589 Elvis has had no less than 149 songs to appear on Billboard's Hot 100 Pop Chart in America. Of these, 114 were in the top forty, 40 were in the top 10, and 18 went to number one.

Chuck was tough on his sidemen. He didn't bring his own band to gigs. You notice how these guys are watching his every move. He had probably had already chewed them out for not playing it his way. He's not looking that happy himself. Story goes as I heard it once, if Chuck had a show he'd go to the airport with just his guitar, wouldn't check it. Take a taxi to the show. Have a run through with the band and then the show and the walk out the back door to a waiting taxi and go back to the airport and home. It was business with him. Love his music. He was a poet!
Ohh the old good classic Chuck! Love this song! Chuck is married to his guitar, and he got the moves that inspired Young from ACDC 👍🏼🤩🤩🤩👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼❤️ Love ur reaction as always beautiful ones!
He wrote the song. Covered by so many over the years. All of his songs told some sort of story. One of the very, very few rock and roll writers who has won literary awards for his writing.
I still laugh anytime I see Chuck like this and remember when he was on Soul Train and someone asked him how long he & his band had been together. He basically said that he had just met those guys, he was famous for just picking up a band where ever he was performing. So many musicians can truthfully say they played backup for Chuck :)
Those requests are fire !!! One better than the other. So fun guys !! Shuffle drumming !!! Travis Johnny Be Good is an absolute masterpiece ! Yeeah . This Man and all the musicians...hats off
Exactly. I love both the Beatles and Keith Richards but even none of them could get anywhere close to what Chuck could do with Chuck's own music. His performances just put it all way out of reach.
For decades, Chuck would tour by himself. Every bar band in every town knew all his songs, and the promotor was responsible for providing the back up band. Chuck would drive up in his Cadillac, grab his guitar, GET PAID FIRST, and do his set. If the band could keep up, he would throw them an extra $100 or so, and it was off to the next gig. My first concert was Chuck Berry and Muddy Waters (yes, you need to check him out along with all the other Chess Records lineup) in 1973.
Chuck Berry was so influential. This song was coveredby the Beatles and by ELO. There is even a nod to this song in AC/DC's Let There Be Rock "But Tchaikovsky had the news"
yes! in back to the future, when marty mcfly's playing, berry's cousin calls him on the phone and tells chuck to listen, because he thinks marty's playing the style music he wants to play.
Chuck was a hairdresser from St. Louis with no real background in rhythm and blues. He showed up at Chess in Chicago with a song about a girl and a car race, a reworking of the country "Ida Red". It was "Maybelline". He went on to write the original canon of rock and roll.
Apparently Chuck Berry would perform he would just walk into a place with his guitar and work with Studio musicians or hire people to play when he did a concert but he didn't have his own band was just him and his guitar
Chuck always played with amateur pick-up bands. Check out Chuck's 60th birthday party, "Hail, Hail Rock and Roll" arguably the very best rockumentary ever made; with huge guest list.
Really loved your reaction to Chuck Berry one of my favourite guitarist's. Highly recommend a show he did called Live at the Roxy if you can find to watch really good show. Little interesting fact he punched Keith Richards for changing the dials on his amp.
Please check out the Gypsy Punk band Gogol Bordello sometime. They are WILD on stage. My favourite is them duetting live with Madonna to La Isla Bonita and mixing the backing with Gypsy music....so much energy! 💙🎶✊
Hi! Hope you are doing well! Also I hope that you are soon going to react to more songs from Delain (Let's Dance, The Greatest Escape, Creatures, Legions Of The Lost); also would love to see a reaction for the music video of Epica's newest single Freedom - The Wolves Within! :)
In the era of Jim Crow in the US. He gave rock and roll to the world and was the real only king of rock and roll. He was the reason the Europeans invaded America with there version of rock. Non of them Europeans like Elvis they listen to the black artist on blues and chuck and his speed up country music mix with blues music.

Chuck Berry. The father of all modern rock guitar players. Seasons greetings, love and peace from the antipodes.
The pioneer of electric guitar players. He basically invented rock guitar.
true! he was the father of distorted guitar and rockand roll!
Watch Sister Rosetta Tharp sometime as well. The Godmother if Rick n Roll. Both of these individuals were true pioneers.
Muddy Waters pioneered electric guitar, but Chuck Berry invented Blues on Cocaine aka Rock n Roll.

Ladies and gentleman the TRUE king of rock and roll the late great mr Chuck berry!!
Always a joy to watch and listen to. Thanks guys!
Chuck wrote this and had a huge hit with it in 1956. He just about created R'n'R guitar.

Yes yes ❤❤❤❤
Chuck Berry is known as the father of r&r. He was the 1st inductee into the rock and roll hall of fame.
Chuck Berry recorded this classic in 1956 before Rhthym and Blue became Rock 'n' Roll.
Saw him 7 times at least. Smiles every time. The best. Love him.

There would be no Beatles or Stones without Chuck Berry.
The Godfather! Many have played this Chuck Berry classic but NONE come close to the original.

Need to listen to Chucks song "My Ding a ling " 🤔😂👀🥸😱
Now everyone knows where Angus Young took these famous stage steps...
thx guys & girls.
And I don't want to see any negative big toe down here !!!! ;)
The guys backing him must have been so excited to play with the pioneer of rock.
This might be from the 70s but he's covering his hit from 1956.

THE taproot of R&R. All that followed is footnotes to Chuck Berry. This is ground zero.
The man, just another legion
No one person invented Rock and Roll but Chuck Berry did more than anybody else
Classic.

Apparently Chuck Berry would perform he would just walk into a place with his guitar and work with Studio musicians or hire people to play when he did a concert but he didn't have his own band was just him and his guitar
one of the graetest entertainers of all time 👍
The Beatles had a hit covering this. All of Rock and Roll is a commentary/reinterpretation of Chuck Berry.
Long Live the King!
Chuck was a main influence to the Beatles .

He always threw that dissonance in there. Like a bad boy. R&R.
All his songs were based on his life. RIP Chuck Berry
You should check out Chuck Berry's Dingaling - you'll love it 💕
Chuck was the original frontman. I created the moves.
Rock and roll before was so different nowadays
You have to realize, he had to have been in his 60s moving like that!!
Those were the days
Buried behind my house 👀

Roll over Bethoven was WAY before 1972. This was many years after.
Uno de los mas grandes Rokrs de todos los tiempos o tal vez el mejor.
Next time you watch an ac/dc video, you'll know where Angus young got his moves from.
A certain British group kicked off their second American album with their version. The Beatles.
If you haven't watched it, you need to react to My Ding-a-Ling live also by him.
Watch his 50s and 60s performances he has a lot more energy!
Watch people like Keith Richards and Angus Young and you'll see they were watching too!
Chuck was visually entertaining as well as musically. I've been a fan of his for over 45 years. Elvis the King of Rock and Roll? Nope. Chuck Berry.
I boogied in the kitchen
I boogied in the hall
I boogied on my finger and I wiped it on the wall
No. The first and second lines start with "We boogied...".The third line is "I got some on my finger so I wiped it on the wall..."
@@davidlauder-qi5zv If you say so. That verse isn't even listed in some of the lyric compilations. Maybe Chuck made it up on the spot.
Chuck wrote this song, recorded it in 1958. Listen to the original record, its more upbeat.
lets see jimi hendrix live version of chuck berrys johnny b goode - if you want to experience the best guitarist that ever did it
The godfather of guitar heroes . Check out a live version of rockin and a reelin . Great lost shine the beatles done many covers of his song .
it's a shame he had to come to the UK in those days to become big, as we love our black artists.
The one and only, Sir Charles "Chuck " Berry. And some people deny the existence of God. Try--- just try--- creating THAT!
You just watched the ORIGINAL rocker.
Whatever moves guitar players pull Chuck did it first.

Check out the original version,it's played a little faster than this.👍👍👍
