He was not, in fact, done looking for people. Daryl's character growth throughout the series is absolutely incredible, especially for a character who is completely original for the TV show. He became is so close to the group that he ended up becoming Rick's brother, eventually ruining a relationship with somebody he cared about because he wouldn't stop looking for him. He even stepped up and took care of Judith and RJ while Michonne went looking for Rick. I cannot wait for Rick, Daryl, and Michonnes stories to end.
