I live in coastal SE Brunswick county & two BIG beautiful turkeys strutted across my front lawn this morning. I almost choked on my coffee - it's a subdivision & seeing them was such a surprise. They stopped for a moment, watching me, watching them. Then continued on down the street. Pretty wonderful ~ it's been many years since seeing one :) (I think they were males, because of their deep rich coloring, but not 100% certain. I didn't notice beards.)
