I hate the government as much as the next guy, but acting like the Articles of Confederation weren't superseded by our current Constitution in 1789 is not the way to do it.
That’s an actual brainlet move. Trying to resist the government by using a defunct, obsolete government document to protect you
Honestly, people like this almost as despicable as the left. They pick and choose which parts of our Constitution and Bill of Rights should or shouldn't be followed, and they change their stance whenever it's convenient.
And it totally was. You needed a unanimous vote to amend the articles and the ratification of the Constitution in place of the Articles was unanimous.
When was the Constitution unofficially abolished?
As much as I dislike judges, that first dude was annoying as hell. Just move seats. It's not like a fucking chair is going to demolish your morals.
If courts were wrestling rings, a good chair could demolish so much more.. But we're lucky not to have that.
Every time with sovereign citizens it's a case of "ACAB.....but in this case I'll look away"
They think if they obey the court they're making a contract with it, it's sort of like oppositional defiant disorder only you have to pay someone 70 bucks to get it.
If he followed the orders of the judge he would acknowledge the legitimacy of said court and judge and thus destroy his own argument of an illegitimate trial.
@@chrisc1140ACAB is one of those horseshoe topics that both the far left and far right agree on.
I just love how there's not a single instance of SovCits getting their way in court, yet they still continue to try. They're completely oblivious to or wilfully ignorant of the utter inefficacy of their movement.
Too much Judge Dredd, I was wonderimg what East-meg has to with anything.
I don't think it's a movement, they never refer to each other at least when i see videos of them. They all just think they are hyper law experts after reading something random and dumb off the internet.
Problem 1 is that the government only cares about Israel. Outcome of every Democracy.
They are dillusional narcissists that think they understand the law not a movement. White chick on thr plane was just a drunk as fuck spoiled chick she didnt say Sovereign citizen shit.
Ever seen those "how to X, 10 secrets Y didn't want you to know" clickbait links? Generally they're about how to get out of paying taxes, or avoid speeding tickets, or beat the casino in nickel slots. They're out there because people are stupid enough to click on them.
I like how the "Context" points to a Wikipedia article. Which is hilarious.
Wikipedia's former CEO, and curent president of NPR, Katherine Maher said she moved away from the moto of the site "Free and Open" for your typical cencorial reasons. Claims include that it was a "White Male Westernized Construct". Funny that YT is using it when its very blatantly known to be a one-sided source, by the admission and disgust of Larry Sanger, co-creator of the site. To quote someone I hate to
"I'm not a Right-winger. Thats just a dirty word they use to describe people who arent insane."
Wikipedia admins are Reddit admins on steroids and "they're on the right side of history".
can I get an example of a one-sided source article from Wikipedia. what's a really bad one.
Are you mad they called flat earth a hoax?
@DrCornhill
Anything about feminism would be a good place to start. Also anything where the press and fans disagreed on something, because only the press is a "reliable source" and so they get to describe both sides of the issue.

Yeah, attempting to leave after they decide to be an issue and not follow behaviors, only once a cop is about to arrest you is resisting arrest. You can't just bow out once consquences begin
Oooooh spicy foxu has good taste, watching sovereign citizen get tased is indeed kino ^^ . Also Münecat did a really good, and loooooong, deepdive into sovereign citizen. Well worth a watch.
Jim old video on them is still good to watch.
I can't wait for Kirsche's Mom's SovCit arc.
Ah, yes, “sovereign citizens,” or as I like to call them, future main characters of Twitter.
That one clip about old woman is making me really angry and police and laws. "No, you can't go to X without a mask! Well, then I am leaving. NO, YOU CAN'T, STOP RESISTING ARREST!" So it's not about masks and health then, it's about power and oppression, gotcha.
Also funny when they arrest person without a mask, and ignore another one right next to them\don't wear masks themselves.
Yeah, the woman is annoying, but arresting and kicking someone off the plane because they aren't wearing a mask is just silly and overstepping their boundaries and such, but even still, if they tell me to wear a mask I would, but if there's a medically reason not to wear a mask, then that's a different ball game, but yeah, it's just silly tbh, but I dunno, it's all confusing tbh
that one was just stupid. if she had just left she probably wouldn't have at first, but still doesn't give the cop the right to arrest her either as when she went to leave he did not tell her she was under arrest.
Never forget that they arrested people having for having a picnic in a park.
Especially because it is a bank. Being denied the ability to access your own money because you aren't complying with *THE SCIENCE* is no different than living under the Chinese social credit system, and the people were responsible for the implementation and enforced such ridiculous mandates should be condemned totally.
@@ian-op5fv also, arrested people in their own homes for having friends over.
I have to deal with these types all the time for my work. Unlike a lot of people I just go; 'yeah, sure bud, you want help, you follow the process. Otherwise, we're done and you'll be owing this money.' I remember one guy that tried to speak for his wife to me and I told him that I need to speak to the account holder, he refused, I terminated the call and I think they owe... several thousands now? Good job, I like it.

Have to disagree with it being "simple" to just not go places if you dont want to wear a mask. If you lived in a small town of masky nutbars you had nowhere else to go.
For someone who understood bridge and tyranny in that form, to completely disregard it here because it is the businesses' rights is just sad.

The hardest part about finding newer, sovereign, citizen videos is that a lot of them these days are the “Moorish” sovereign citizens
But if you try searching that on UA-cam a lot of times they won’t come back properly because the big channels don’t seem to like that most of the newer breed sovereign citizens are not white
I imagine the sovereign citizens themselves are the ones who copyright struck the comp channels.
the reason the videos are so hard to find is because of law & crime network dmca ing everyone trying to extort them for 500$ a min for PUBLICLY OWNED/non-copyrighted videos of courtrooms and police body cam releases.
It's partially reasonable, because these videos cost a lot in fees to receive from the court. Still no excuse, but I would put some blame on the system that charges citizens money for information we have the right to see.
@@MegaSimmaster oh no its not those videos. these were the people that were there recording/livestreaming high profile trials last few years and were directly ordered by court that they have no rights to the videos, and they must not be paywalled to view [at least for 2 or 3 of them] rakieta law at the time was on war path with them. also for the body cam video releases, they were dmcaing ones that were publicly available from the police/local news channels.

The plane girl was probably asked to put her mask on and then went on a screaming tirade delaying the plane till the cops came in.
Like yeah the mask rule is dumb but at the same time the airplane can make that rule and if you refuse to follow it they can kick you off. Like with a hundred other rules they have, each one as stupid as the last.
and some major airlines (like delta iirc) made that rule themselves before it was made a federal rule. airlines welcomed the rule as well with multiple airlines advocating for it.
and it's not exactly a secret that some rules are there specifically bc airlines asked for them. like if it hurts profits, airlines generally can't do it without risking a shareholder lawsuit, but if airlines can get it made into a rule, shareholders can't sue them for implementing it. and lobbying for such profit-reducing rules also isn't something shareholders can really sue over. so it's an easy way to make sure stuff like certain safety improvements happen without facing the wrath of greedy shareholders.
lol Kircsche get an editor
Traffic law is the law of the sea which is commerce law. You stand in for the fictitious straw person whose name is in all caps on all the papers you rcvd from the government. When cars came out the speed limits and licenses were only for people engaged in commerce and the states slowly statuesd (not real law) the right of freedom to travel with the privilege of being able to drive but you aren’t engaged in commerce traveling to work. When you sign your license it inks the deal. This is in no way justifies what sovereign types do because it ain’t gonna work. The best case to fight these cases is by attacking the states atty by seeing if they can prove
Jurisdiction which is hard because “the state of” is an actual legal fiction. You just think you live in Texas because you have been told that but it could have as easily been you live in cornbread and are from the state of cornbread.
Have you perhaps noticed that the road is not the high seas?
This is utter nonsense. The first driving license laws pre-date the Federal ones, and there are two sets of laws because the Federal government only has the right to regulate interstate commerce, so within-state driving laws pass to the states in accordance with the Tenth Amendment.
Jurisdiction does not work that way: it is easily demonstrated by the charging document since all that needs to be shown is that the alleged infraction occurred in a place the court's authority extends to. Jurisdiction arguments only work if you can say what other court _should_ have jurisdiction, either because it's the wrong type of case (say, a family court is hearing a murder case), or the wrong place (a state court hearing a Federal matter, an American court hearing a case that only involves citizens of Spain and happened in Spain, etc).
I feel so conflicted, on one side I like how this concept at least tries to undermine government entities like more law abiding citizens ought to do, but at the same time they look idiotic claiming legal ground which there is none.
Same

The plane girl was probably also asked yo leave cause she was drunk; most airlines will ground if you are visibly drunk, especially if you are combative and/or disorderly.
Some airlines could do worst on this
She refused to comply with the mask policy at the time (this was during covid), and she wouldn’t budge when they ordered her off the plane, so they called the police.
If I remember correctly, this was actually because she didn't want to wear a mask and the airlines were enforcing mask mandates at the time. She was also likely drunk or impaired in some way, but the reason the airlines cited was that she wouldn't put on a mask and became combative when asked.

So if you name after and have the corresponding Azur Lane Shipgirl as an itasha on your car, can you legally claim it is it’s own autonomous vessel and Identifies itself as a battleship?
Via SovCit logic, yes.
But what if it makes your car into her own person? Or part of an US navy museum?🤔
Oh man.. I use to play Azur lane. It's pretty good for a mobile game.
I've said this about sov. citizens a few times.
Even if by some loophole of law they are TECHNICALLY correct, the state will still gladly use force against you to enforce its will and law on you. Unless you are willing to utilize force in response to the state's attempt to exert its will on you, there's no point invoking your sov. citizen rights. You play ball or you throw hands, there are no other options.
Judges are allowed to interpret the law. This means that even if there is a loophole on the law as written, a judge can and will close the loophole. If the courts agree that the law works in a certain way, that is the way the law works unless the legislature pass a law that explicitly states otherwise. People like to think that they can outsmart the law, and it never works because any decently constructed legal system has measures for people trying to outsmart it.
Reminds me of how a lawyer way back proved legally that taxes are not legal…don’t ask me how, but the judge said it didn’t matter.
@@markjacobs3232 Exactly this. We assert the fact taxation is theft. We refuse to pay taxes. What's the consequence? State takes you to court. You don't respect the court or its orders. Consequence? State will use force to deprive you of your property/freedom. It always boils down to if you have the will and capacity to use force to preserve your property, freedom and life. And chances are you'll lose all 3.
@@markjacobs3232 because they're not legal, they had to amend the constitution to add specific taxes.
The Korsche is a traveler on the land!
The basic problem with the idea is that "the law" is not a magical contract with fairies. It's an attempt to define what people expect out of the society they currently live in, which allows a government to exercise power with something resembling a mandate. And it seems like the kind of person eager to embrace the rights of being their own government is pretty much always the kind of person who refuses to accept the profound responsibilities of a government.
Its simply rules for a group of humans to function as a group of people. If it was not for laws we would be in the world of fallout games and be in danger any minute of the day.

The old lady in the bank was arrested for trespassing and resisting.
She didn't turn away to leave, she recoiled because the cop took out his handcuffs and reached for her arm.
By that point feigning compliance with the bank's order to leave was too late, she was already being arrested for trespass.
She resisted arrest by trying to walk away from the cop after his intention to place her in handcuffs was apparent (active physical resistance).
Contrary to popular belief, a cop is not required to inform you of your rights before or during an arrest, but only prior to official questioning/interrogation, even if that's hours after you've been stewing in holding cell.
This is not an endorsement of the situation, just an explanation of the legalities involved.

ive met very few people who actually fit the ideals of the sovereign citizen and most of them live in very rural areas and are so off the grid that most of the government dont even know they exist.
i remember when my pops owned some property in really backwoods kentucky. nearest neighbors used well water, solar, and a generater. they owned 2000 acres that had been in the family for many generations.

official records showed only 1 home built in the 60s. they owned only 1 or 2 old beater trucks and mostly got around using ATVs and almost never used the paved roads.
they didnt seem to be some strange cult, just people who had no interest in what was going on in the outside world....other than if folks were still buying their weed. yeah they had a bunch of small grows all over their property. they were cool as hell but they avoided using public utilities and roads because they didnt want to be subject to public laws.

These people are just actually insane. They are not in their right mind.
Typical wokers right there
Sovereign citizens are an interesting sort. There are, occasionally, times when they hit on some interesting legal paradigms - but they are often destructive to their own cause. In many cases where they are legally in the right, they have undermined the appeal of their case to the public.
A related example is in the offender registries. Legally, they are dubious and I don't buy them as a moral entity. However, most of the challenges to them are people who illustrate abuses of the concept. However, increasingly, any offense which could involve sex has been used by prosecutors to pursue mandatory registration with a federal system. Which is part of the problem. It's a federal database maintained by the states under grant and there are few federal constraints on how the system is used. One state only registers hard offenses with high recidivism, another state has the 18 year old who had a 17 year old girlfriend register and/or considers solicitation of a prostitute illegal and an offense due mandatory registration as an offender.
Even in the cases where the system is in the wrong, you don't really want to support the people.
Then there are others in the sovereign citizen arena who are like watching the Dukes of Hazard.
But there are a lot of people in jail on these legal theories. My recommendation to people who believe them is to prepare for that conflict with armed people accordingly and choose battles wisely.
it's like they're all absolute idiot geniuses at shining lights at questionable government behavior. they're really good at it, but for all the wrong reasons, and all they end up doing is accidentally justify the otherwise questionable government behavior.
