Two of best DJ's to come out of the UK. What they have experienced in the Grime scene is almost unrivalled. That Sidewinder set in Milton Keynes, with the Gunshot Riddim is Grime history at its finest. I could listen to these two all day. They need their own podcast really. Big!
Real talk what mak 10 said that’s why the energy isn’t the same from new grime mc’s and sets aren’t the same most grime mcs these days are all about the tracks and not the Sets, learn your lyrics at home. The passion for sets will never be duplicated, pirate radio was a special period, every one wanted in and it was the only time you would hear grime, and that’s what made it so special, now it’s so accessible
Was rinse on a different frequency back then? When I first came to England I remember my cousins listening to rinse but I swear it was on 91.8 fm am I mistaken?
@@TakeMeBackPirateRadio Thanks for the clarification my bro, I thought it was on a different frequency back then cos I remember my cousins going back and forth between rinse fm 91.8 and kool fm 94.5 👌🏾👌🏾
I always say Pulse X. I like to look at the lineage though because in reality things are fluid. One thing influences another and eventually you get Grime. Grime didn't just appear. Busta Rhymes, Dangerous 97 > Mastersteps, Melody 98 > So Solid, Woah 01 > Musical Mob, Pulse X 02 > Wiley, Igloo 03... I love tracing those paths through tunes. Music is one continuous story of culture.
Karnage was bussin it up from the 90's hands down best DJ, always had the exclusive dubs also headlining big events through the early stage of grime. Only my opinion..🤷🏽♂️
Pay As You Go Cartel - Know We is a famous Dark Garage choon, but can be classified as one of the first Grime choons. The Dark Garage scene as a whole genre was one of the best times in Raving history. It wasn't UK Garage, it wasn't Grime or Dubstep, but the best transition to experience before Raving died in London.

Mak10 always had the sickest mixes

Mak 10 should've definitely won that Sidewinder award. He is the best Grime DJ period 💯
2004 peoples choice awards, the guys mixes was insane
I remember Karnage on Rinse in 1998 with the Reckless Crew. Got those DNB sets with him and D Double E. Always rated him as a DJ.

@@ukjamaican4488 Yeah man!! Rinse was on 97.6 and 91.8 and then in 1998 it took the 100.3 FM dial.

@@ukjamaican4488 You're welcome Rinse was mostly on 91.8 in the mid 90s. Kool FM and Rude FM back in the day were also epic stations. Big up brother!
. Do you have any Karnage dnb sets? Big ups
I’d say so solid dilemma was the 1st grime tune, that came out in 2000.
Karnage hasn't aged a day in the past 20 years
These two DJs make up probably more then 50% of sets of on my channel.....
Also MAK10 says it perfectly reading from phones is dead!!
Wiley - Year 2000 & Dizzee Rascal - Ready For War are both up on my channel now
Wiley. End of.
