Article: Dendera Light Bulb and Baghdad Battery Nonsense: ahotcupofjoe.net/2016/11/dend...
Taken from the original article; A resurgence of the thoroughly debunked “Dendera light bulb” and the “Baghdad battery” pairing has started making it’s way through Facebook lately. Its as if the internet ran out of crazy ideas and is recycling old ones. Or, more likely, a new generation of the gullible is learning to spell and is now making it’s way down the path of Big-Woo, where shills are pushing new comers to spend their money on books and videos.
The Dendera Light Bulb claim; Ancient Egyptians had light bulbs powered by batteries made of jars that they ostensibly received from space aliens.
The reality; There is a panel comprised of five stone reliefs in the Temple of Hathor in Dendera, Egypt that shows the mythical depiction of lotus flower spawning a snake held aloft by a djed pillar.
The mythical symbols; The lotus is the symbol of creation, life, and birth in Egyptian religion and spirituality (Pinch 2004). A djed pillar is the symbol of stability and endurance. The snake represents Ra’s serpent form being created from primordial waters. The field surrounding Ra’s snake form is referred to in ancient Egyptian literature as protective magical energy in liquid form that all gods and pharaohs possess (Faulkner 1970).
The temple; The Temple of Hathor, where the panel is situated, was constructed during the Graeco-Roman period at about 332-395 CE, and is one of the best preserved temples of the period in Egypt. A large hypostyle hall leads to a smaller hypostyle hall, which ultimately ends at the sanctuary.

Great pitch and delivery overall, you sir, would make an excellent narrator, of you aren't one already.
      One note, however.
Maybe only put 'debunked' on the title card when you definitively debunk something.

This is good work, one thing that gets me with ancient history is they literally say what many things are & mean but instead of going straight to the texts/what was left, we draw our own conclusions & create our own backstories.
It never made sense for that to be a light bulb but with all the excavation/robbing of tombs & sights, they haven’t found any light bulbs.

well done, your information is the best, smart man carl! Thanks very much. This machine allows the standing spirit to get a flesh body again, as they have had a death experience, as the frog and snake is used as base flesh that is held in the chamber, as the lotus flower transfers your spirit from being held trapped inside its base, spirit and transfers out of the plant, as the head bulb of the plant reaches to the end of the chamber, as the clear chamber tube shrinks you get clear skin at first, as your spirit is transferred to inside the chamber and your head and neck starts growing first then the body from the plant and snake and frog.

Couldn't possibly be a lightbulb, how provincial to even suggest such a thing. Occam's razor assures us the most simple, reasonable answer is typically the correct one. So naturally this is a depiction of an immortal sky-god named Harsomtus who has taken on the appearance of a snake and is emerging from a lotus flower while traveling on a barge supported by a massive phallus, I mean djed pillar. Just another casual friday in ancient Dendera.

Later they used olive oil lamps and we know that the temples were cleaned frequently and treated well. In case of the pyramids they could just, you know, build the roof after they painted the walls because they are no idiots, which is an established theory. This makes a lot more sense than coming up with light bulb theories where nobody seems to consider where they got these materials from and how they made wires, cables, modern thin glass (ancient egyptian glass was very thick, rough, milky and they painted it, wearing it as jewelry)

I lived in Egypt for two years. Cool stuff there. I believe this to be true, which leaves with the question: How did they light theses places. I looked and did not see evidence of torches….????

    • @sonnylambert4893
      @sonnylambert4893 2 роки тому

Very shiny polished brass concave mirrors directing sunlight from outside into any hole or tunnel or passageway where further mirrors at the corners can just redirect that light again and so on. After thousands and thousands and thousands of years what I don't think one should expect to see is soot from handheld torches either. We're not talking about lighting by raging infernos. And the possibility exists that the fuel they used for torches , burned on bowls, or candies, may have even been a lantern of some sort a semi refined fuel made from the crude oil of the middle East or other source possibly animal oils which did not produce nearly as much sooty exhaust. But I'm also of the growing opinion the Great pyramid was some sort of power generating device possibly ionospheric or lightning as well, with vinegar acid-based energy storage like batteries in small vessel to large boxes. And we do know they had copper so wiring and all of that related needed for sending electricity was certainly possible. I think we are LED away from these things intentionally because it removes the alien and other more extreme attention drawing, pseudo science and mysterious explanations as it keeps us from really grounding ourselves to the reality of how long humans have been around and how advanced we were a long time ago. Long before the last cataclysm and certainly before the Roman / Anglo empire erase much of world history. Keep in mind pyramid meaning fire in the middle is very logical if this is a power generating device to emulate or imitate volcanoes Mount Fuji for example and send smoke or hot steam through the two passageways up one side and up the other in an exhibition of the power of the gods amongst men or you signify something important for the religious ritual cult which dominated the area. I always think of the Vatican when it sends the smoke signal when a new pope is chosen and of course the Vatican is Rs/ Horus Sun worship as signified by Sunday. But regarding the religious the regeneration of the human spirit is the symbolic aspect of the pyramid now in the mystery schools but it's quite possible that the dead were put in there and basically defibrillated like we would do today to someone who drowned or had a heart attack and so on, and once again resurrected with electricity

No mainstream archaeologists have the guts to do that.

@@gary_rumain_you_peons Even though I live 100% off grid, I have no need to repeat a scientific study. Especially since my college degree involves Physics. Even highly polished bronze mirrors reflect only a fraction of the light that strikes it. This happens at each reflection and there is dispersion loss along each stage. Some of these losses can be mitigated by focusing the reflected beam at each stage, but that is something they never did

There are so many unexplained items all over Egypt that I can feel my impatience building when yet another guy starts talking in an authoritative way about something he can’t prove for beans! Nobody even knows how the pyramids were built, so to hear this guy speak so definitely in his, “I know bc I said so,” voice about the lamp and the baboon with the frog’s face is just silliness! Why not just say that they found a way to harness the bioluminescence of as yet undiscovered enormous fireflies, and that’s how it was done??

      Non sequitur
Not knowing exactly how they were built is not the same as not knowing how they were built, we have their own depictions for starters, nor does it magically prove Green Eyed Unicorns built it.

ok its Me ....for a last time I will revel full working design for how it works , and here it is :
on a depiction at 1:47 -a statue holding a bulb with a circle above head is battery (might be even a simple chemical reaction battery anyone can do that )
-then you have a connection with a cable like cooper to the left (any blacksmith can do that instead of cooper sword)
-then you have a jed symbol that holds a bulb but it is actually a electric coil just like at many experimental videos you can see it its easy to make)
-then a snake inside a bulb that represents a danger which is electricity but there a no cables inside really why ...next
-there is easy to manufacture fluorescent gas inside of a bulb like neon , xenon or others that shines under electric charge input but next
-bulb illuminates light because of electromagnetical conductivity as a neon bulbs that get affected by coil in modern days or any magnetic influence they change
-light appears because of passing energy through a coil into a left cable from direct conduct made by primitive batteries and it works simple
ps. any NEON bulb works same way and YES it is actually ancient Egypt NEON bulb

the DJED represents stability in the afterlife. the lotus or Seshen, rebirth from the sun. The snake represents Royalty and is a symbol of the funerary god.The arms are the KA or spirit, and the double outline the Ba. I believe the dendera light to be a symbol of kings being reborn after death into gods.

Condolences to all concerned on Nick's passing.
I could offer an explanation of this "communication" that would make a plausible; low tech, non-electric, light producing, technology that would be self evident upon explanation.. But can't do it for free!
