How you make boom bap drums on Akai mpc one
In this video, the drums I created aren't head-nodding bombs because I felt that heavily swung drums wouldn't clearly showcase the benefits and nuances of fine-tuning. Instead, I went for a slow, chill beat. With low swing, if the details aren't managed well, the drums can easily lose their soul. Once you've mastered this workflow, your head-nodding bombs will turn into neck-breaking nukes. This video's workflow is exactly how I typically create drums. Actually, I'm not layering anything on Pad 3. I'm using Pad 3 and Pad 4 to trigger Pad 7. If you want to layer samples, go to 'Program Edit' > 'Sample 2nd Page.' For delay, you can adjust it in the 'Sample 3rd Page,' where you can offset the time. To trigger another pad, go to 'Program Edit' > 'Global' > 'Simultaneous Play.'
