What a horrible relationship dynamic, a slave can never consent to a master, Loid and all other servants of the Orokin were slaves with no autonomy. Absolutely disgusted that DE passes this off as love when it is 100% abuse. As a gay man I am sick to death of these terrible dynamics being festishized in fiction about us.
For reference this is based off of real Roman Emperors who had servants they often hd sex with. But its very very clear right now. That this is not what your saying. Compare everything with Albrecht to Ballas, his lover was “equal,” to him and yet the second they disagreed on something he had her put to death. Its not how Loid is treated its how he isn’t treated. He is treated like a member of the family, he probably knows him better than his own daughter does. And when he had to leave he left Loid in charge for his own safety. This whole video is him apologizing to him. Is this healthy? No. But he’s acknowledging it and it shows signs of improving. If Loid were abused or manipulated he wouldn’t find comfort with someone who would do that to him. Joy maybe but not comfort. As for the whole terrible dynamics in fiction there are plenty of straight dynamics that are bad, id argue even worse to a degree since it convinces most men into women there are certain things that are ok to do. Please ,try and tell me Thomas Jeffersons slave was able to consent to their relationship, because that is exactly what is happening between Albrecht and Loid. Albrecht is the worst moral monster in this entire canon, including Ballas. I've played the quest several times and watched as much content about it as UA-cam has. Whataboutism is not an argument, just saying.
