When I heard this song in the movie Sing for the first time, I was trying to think of where I recall this sort of sound. For me, it's reminiscent of those clear, soulful vocals from the R&B of the sixties and seventies. Tori has a great voice and she delivers with the soul, power and upbeat rhythm of that memorable and very much missed R&B sound.
I answered my own reminiscent feelings about this song. I only saw this movie on DVD yesterday and I just found out that this song was written by Stevie Wonder. No wonder it sounds so reminiscently wonderful.

Very nice version of Stevie Wonder's original. I've heard this song performed by novice singers, and it's a deceptively difficult song to pull off. The descending chords of the refrain sound natural (and wonderful) when someone like Kelly (or Wonder) sings it, but it isn't so simple in less-skilled hands. I also REALLY like the arrangement---the horns, especially. Sometimes an arrangement strays so far from the original that the newer version sounds like they're singing the arrangement and not the song, but this really worked. And the video---simple and lovely. Two thumbs up
