So is it acceptable to noob wobble at treetop level when ur in a crippled American bf109 f4 being chased by other bf 109s that just came out of a dive ?
If you have no other options available to you then sure, just be aware that it will slow you down meaning that those 109's are going to catch you even faster and as you will be slower you are going to have even less energy to work with when they arrive.
low tier attackers have always been to go for me, aircraft like the A20G can generate a lot of lions while being quite fun to fly at there BR. Otherwise low to mid tier fighters, once you start playing rank 4 and above things get expensive but the overall lions earnings vs in game performance doesn't change much.
tbh be it my luck but the noob wobble seems to act as psychological warfare, if you know how to sustain it, the enemy can seem to just get so pissed off they just fire as much as possible. Even good pilots get annoyed. It's a cheapo strat, but in my luck it has worked.
I always love it when the enemy (often playing USA) goes "Japanese are OP" "Japanese tank multi-gun bullshit" "Japanese planes are too powerful" *Japanese Team mind:* "I never thought I would ever use the hull gun" "Stupid American turnfighting a Zero" "We'll just push them down from space to feed the Zeroes" *looks up* "Oh shit! A spitfire! We're doomed!"
as a Zero player (mainly) I ABSOLUTELY love it when Spitfires come by to say hi! They always turnfight 9 times out of 10. But yeah, I do put them in high priority in a multi-threat environment.
i can honestly never play War Thunder RB or AB ever again, and havent in 2 years, which bums me out, it used be so fun but now theres no teamwork, if youre dogfighting with another player next thing you know half of your team is right on your 6 trying to steal the kill, and sometimes even shooting you down in the process or to get you out of the way.... so now i just stick to the almost barren wasteland of War Thunder SB and the more fun IL2 BOS/BOM/BOK. but god i miss War Thunder RB and how it used to be.
Idk the general playerbase feels way better now than it felt in 2016, when I started, playing maybe a match a week until I got interested about a month ago
@@eVill420 I was dominating 3 guys who kept going after me when they respawned and my team noticed I was doing pretty good so then the start using me as bait and every time was close to shooting a plane down in that match my kill would get stolen
That intro was HILARIOUS. However, I should note that in Grivious' defense, Gaijin DID nerf the Ho-103 (the MGs his aircraft was armed with) HARD in the last major update. The API rounds in most of the belts became regular AP and the API-T rounds became just tracers. Note that this nerf is unhistorical and goes completely against MULTIPLE sources provided to Gaijin from both Japanese and American documents. Now, I do have some observations that I'd like to make note of: while a suboptimal choice to engage two on one, it does look like the Spitfire may have done so primarily to protect the P-47. His mistake was COMMITTING to the engagement afterwards instead of breaking off once his wingman was in the clear.
did gaijiggles ever care about anything "unhistorical"? magical armour thats stronger than it is, HESH, APDS, Mk 103 on the Ho 229,.................. there is far too much to name, but its a fact they really care anymore
But I saw every single round there simply miss that P-47... He probably was losing his cool and his precision just flew out of the window while chasing that Thunderbolt
MagzTV I did not know Japan’s planes where good in vertical turn I told a spit to not do that because when I was dogfighting him he was doing good every time he did that
It's free to play, no cash required ever. You CAN spend real money to speed up progression and buy special "premium" planes that are only available with real money. An example is the A7 Magz is flying for this video.
this is why me, as a PS4 player, is crap at air AB and RB, because we can't look back at an aircraft and control our own at the same time (with out crashing that is) so you have to guess what they are going to do, or be a sitting duck while you try and find them with the touchy controls and then try and react, but your almost always dead by that point
Could you do a step-by-step tutorial on setting up for a boom and zoom? And on recovering from a bad first pass? In American planes in particular, when I boom on a plane it feels like I'm either going too slow (and they shoot me down on the zoom) or I'm going too fast (and my controls stiffen and I can't get guns on). And since I usually dive to clear someone's six, there's always this urgent siren's call to just turn one more time and save the teammate. As a noob, I think there's a (potentially long) period where you know broadly what you're supposed to do but don't have the details in a playbook or your muscle memory.
I find it extremely useful to know when you are going to have a bad pass, while Boom and Zoom is not all about diving, knowing when to disengage when you're having a bad pass can save at least a usable amount of altitude and potential energy. But this is only done by words, you have to develop something from this theory that I don't know if you're going to find it useful
Ideal B&Z dive speed for props are between 550-650 KPH. If you're going against fighters, avoid diving from directly above. Ideally you want to dive from just behind them. If you miss the pass, start a good climb at at least 25°, preferably higher. Gain speed and altitude if the situation calls for it, and do it again. This is how I do it.
out of all the tutorials this is absolutely the best one by far. Most Tuts will just play the game and talk about very basic aiming stuff. 4 minutes into this video and Ive already learned a lot from just a single engagement. Your freeze frames and explanations are extraordinary. Lots of tuts go so far off topic and never actually go over stuff they are showing.
Important video Magz, these always help the community. If I were to add to the discussion, I’d say flying by the books is a great place to start, relying on boom/zoom or strict energy fighting can give you alot of useful habits, but I would suggest letting yourself open up as you get more experienced. I was only able to fly more aggressively with success after about 1000 hours of fighter combat. If you’re new to warthunder or haven’t hit your comfort zone in the air yet, my 3 biggest suggestions are 1, bind 2 buttons for up and down elevator that you can utilize while looking behind you (makes defensive flying so much easier) 2, warm your self up to taking really hard deflection angle shots, the more you can shoot from an angle above or below the enemy in a 3d space as opposed to having to get RIGHT behind them, the better. 3, get used to abusing your flaps in almost any fighter, they are extremely powerful as long as you remember to flair/pump them when you get near the rip speed for them.
11:30 ish He might not have been able to outrun you, as he had a damaged engine. He was leaking oil, he there is a high chance that he simply believed in the long run he would be caught and destroyed, so he tried to dodge instead.
This is such a refreshing change to being shown how to destroy other aircraft. Being shown so clearly the mistakes I make so often has reinforced the lessons I have tried to learn from watching other WT experts. Seems to me that you've shown things from a new angle. Looking forward to more of this, Magz. Thanks.
this video has honestly been more helpful than a lot of "tips/trick" videos I've seen online. actual footage of actual gameplay with useful and easy-to-understand commentary. I've subscribed I'm definitely going to be taking a look through more of your content as I'm still new to war thunder and want to improve.
Mags you make some of my favorite war thunder content. Not only do you talk about the aircraft itself, but strategies to deal with it, keep up the good work. Cheers
Yes! Thank you for returning to this style of videos. I really missed your "tutorial" videos and how you would explain the mechanics of the game, and just overall tactics and strategies for optimal engagements.
i love my p-38k, i find almost nothing can touch it while climbing, or at high energy, i can dive on my target, attack and quickly break away..its nice being able to control engagements, sadly nobody knows how to really fight them too well, another thing...that p-51 pilot just...failed horribly...i take my p-51 and engage all kinds of things but i use its high speed ability to my advantage..also the p-51d is seriously nerfed in warthunder..
Chazz Summer Don’t get discouraged, friend! It’s just a habit you build over time. When you’ve flown a lot of different aircraft, you get an idea of what flight characteristics each one has.
Talk in bout 4.3's and 4.7's meanwhile I'm chilling with my highest plane being a 1.7 lol. (Just started war thunder like a week ago, not even. And since i work I havent been playing a lot in that week just trying to learn stuff about the game
Jesse Snyder btw never commit to tailing spitfires or any aircraft for that matter in the bf 109 it’s a boom and zoom not maneuverable in its later or early versions the first e might be the best grinder in my opinion
Jimmy_Stath1 they both are it’s just that honestly the 190 gets out preformed in dogfights the later versions of the 190 are interceptors and such so there good for climbing but not dogfighting I’m guessing I haven’t got them but the 109s like the trop is not to good for turn fighting with low speeds but climbs like a god
Just treat the Fw 190-s as they were American. Huge guns, huge speed, no turn. Treat the Bf 109 as something in between an American and a Spitfire. Moderate turn, moderate speed, good guns. Spitfire are moderate speed, good turn, low guns. Oh and early Tier 5 Germans (Me 262, He 162) are utter shit because the 30mm-s are so slow, you need to be inbetween 200-400 meters, but everyone's faster than you.
An excellent video! I'd love to hear more advice for rookie pilots, I'm trying to get into Realistic battles myself but errors like this make it rather hard to perform well
I can relate to these hints so little ... i'm already dead when they engage me the first time around so i rarely have to consider any maneuvering and dogfighting after that :D
I've learned that if you don't know how to fly a particular plane, try starting off using Boom and Zoom. Sure, it's not the best and, with some aircraft, even suicidal. But it definitely helps me get a handle for said new plane.
Heres a moment i remember from one of my games I was in the P-40F fighting a Ki 61 at high altitude and i only boom n zoomed him and he got away despite hempering him with alot of stealth 50 cals
Thanks for this video. I been playing 2 years and watching this showed me how far I've come. Especially that noob wobble. But I've learned alot about energy by playing realistic only and hundreds of hours of dog fighting. I'm just now getting into the jets as I've only done the USA tree. I'm just starting 🇫🇷.
the biggest advantage the a7m has isn't even an advantage.its the size of the aircraft it's big its blocky when you look at an a7m you dont expect it to do a 13g and get on your ass instantly
Exactly, size is not the same as mass! A good example could be the Tempest mk2 vs the Sea Fury FB11. The Sea Fury is small compared to the Tempest, but its mass is actually a tiny bit higher (just a tiny bit). One has to consider the combination of material, construction and size in order to get a rough idea of the mass an aircraft has. If you want know how good the sustained turn rate of an aircraft is, you should consider not only the wingloading, but also the powerloading. Turn rate at corner speed, however, is allways difficult to predict...
I believe I have made a number of these mistakes, albeit not consistently. Generally, I do try to BnZ properly, keeping an airspeed advantage, opening up distance, etc. However, I tend to have a lot of trouble setting-up good kills, and I've realized I really don't understand how to in a BnZ fighter. Most of my engagements follow a pattern of Approach->Pass->Miss->Disengage, which is not only frustrating, but I also don't really understand what I should be looking for to help turn those misses into kills. Even some of my "best" performances tend to result in me ending the game with no kills, either left behind by my team or outnumbered heavily by the enemy.
I do the noob wobble, but try to keep it as random as possible, and even move towards the tracers knowing the pilot behind me will be adjusting his fire causing him to miss again. I usually die in situations like that, but it does keep me alive like 5x longer than if I wasn't wobbling. I WILL try to wobble less, though.
The examples you showed us were planes who did not perform well in vertical turns, but what about something like a BF 109 that has vertical turns as their strengths? What are some rookie mistakes that pilots do in those machines?
It's amazing how much better you play when you look into how these vehicles were used, whats their strengths and weaknesses and knowing the other vehicles strengths and weaknesses. I love studying journals of actual pilots of the vehicles and training materials. The advantage the actual pilots had with the real aircrafts would be immense due they had a lot of time to get to know their craft and the training they received with them along with the schooling on enemy planes.
I have found that the noob wobble is somewhat effective in AB, with many low-skill players around. Because of the enhanced flight models on the aircraft, the speed lost is not very critical and I have been able to minimize damage from someone I would not have been able to get away from normally, living long enough to even secure another kill or two in a giant furball. However, if playing RB, it makes sense to have more of a priority on surviving than getting as many kills as possible before jumping in your next aircraft like in AB.
Hi Gents. I played Fighterace for six years. I played "realistic" as much as I could. WT looks so appealing to me! Can you guys answer some questions for me? You all fly it in a 3rd person view? At first I though that was just for presentation purposes but you actually fly in that view? (not a positive for me). Can you fly from an aircraft orientation? You are rolling but your POV isn't. That's just weird to me. I guess I could adjust but... Also, can you do a "snap view to nearest enemy (or friend?). This function was so helpful in FA. In WT it looks like you just roll the camera around to view enemy? SA becomes difficult that way (?). I absolutly love the plane sets in WT and the flight model looks good. Do most of you use a PC or are you all on game consoles? Joysticks? Mouse (gasp!) Game pad (N0!!!!). I have microsoft PP2 that i could dust off. I want to play! Magz your videos are really fun and your personality makes it easy to listen to. WT should pay you a PR salary!
RAF71chingachgook I played Il2 for 10+ years and have an X52 stick (and a cyborg evo force that doesn’t work with windows 10) but use kB and mouse in this game as it seems to suit the game as opposed to a full on flight sim like the aforementioned.
The "Noob wobble" is actually kind of effective against low ammunition planes if you've got enough speed, as then they run out in RB and have absolutely no chance of dealing with... anything.
I have just started War Thunder and finding the learning curve very steep (and enjoyable!) I've decided to stick with the Hurricane fighter until I learn it well, before adding new planes into the mix. I know I have learnt several good points from this video and will think back on it many times. Thanks Magz! Clear skies to you.
Could you give us a highlight reel of your aerial exploits against your toughest opponents, would absolutely love to see that!! Thks and keep up the great work...
This is something I've learned as I mostly fly British. As a spitfire, I'm very good at a strictly turn fight, but I'm bad at vertical loops. I still find myself loosing to Japanese and Russian turn fighters though.
"Spitfire pilots seems to be used to being the most maneuverable thing in the sky" That is very true for me, and which is why I am always afraid when I get matched against Japanese, as I did started out in the Japanese line and know very well how easy it is to kill Spitfires.
One of my beautiful loop I did was a near sea crash, I almost tutch the water. No one was expecting me to survive at this very dungerous loop. I run away and survived. Beautiful game I'll say
By spinning if you were going straight, would go through your aircraft, thus bringing it down. If you roll then the bullets will zip right past your plane
The only way to learn is to play more, and learn from mistakes. I've done many of those mistakes myself. But I don't know anything about planes or flying, but the more I play the more I know the advantages and disadvantages of the aircraft.
I'm going to Russia's 4th rank and I've never see this kind of video (I usually only read the plane's "usage in battle" info). I do make mistakes exactly like these and I think I never saw a replay to analyze myself. Now I'm afraid of appearing in your videos haha. Very useful hints.
I love these tips, it would be really nice if the Americans and Germans started following them more. I get so tired of being one of two or three smart pilots that follow these rules, but lose because it's now 2 v 7/8 and we have no hope.
How to counter that vertical bait turn? Or someone turning into my trajectory (so I'd go CFIT if I dive steeper)? I very often commit these mistakes, knowing full well the consequences, because man it takes forever to setup a BnZ and disengage so I'd just f**k it and turn fight a turn fighter as American. If I die I'll just join another game...
"How to counter that vertical bait turn?" - By seeing what it is and not commuting too it in the first place. It's a trap, once you are inside the trap it's over. "because man it takes forever to setup a BnZ and disengage so I'd just f**k it and turn fight a turn fighter as American. If I die I'll just join another game." - Well. . I and all other players that take the time to learn how to use their aircraft correctly woudl like to thank you for the free RP and credits. That may sound snarky but it's the reality of the situation. If your not even trying to use your aircrafts advantages you are just an RP and credit piñata for someone who is.
Am I the only one who heard The Joker when that laugh in the intro happened? I also find it funny how griviues' nose art matched his rage. I also have a bit of a question Magz. I absolutely love War Thunder, been playing since CBT, but I haven't really gotten any better and it's kinda ruining the fun factor. I play all the Nations, but mainly the US, have a slightly above average knowledge of aerodynamics, and love tanks. Any tips for a fellow, but underskilled, member of the "Old Guard"?
I believe it's due to the players being oblivious to other and their own aircraft's capabilities. The first rule of warfare is knowing your enemy, after all.
In general the biggest mistake is that they settle for the situation the enemy is putting them into, instead of working to get things to work to your particular advantage. Example: Dont settle to a p 47 head on....lure him into it, but dodge, try to take things into a turning/dodging situation, make him loose altitude, and you will eat that p 47 like nothing. People complains about german p47 spam, but they do nothing to diminish their influence, they just follow the 47s game, and they die. You gotta work to your benefit, and not give in to the convinience of the enemy.
Thanks to YTers like Jengar & Magz I've become a better player. yet after all the vids and months of watching, it still takes a very long time to actually recognise where you are going wrong and begin to correct ALL of it in a single game. Despite all these many many months I'm still at the intermediate stage of going from 'experienced newbie' and 'passingly good', while trying to cut down on my 'raging n00b' spikes. I did just want to play this for fun and not spend hundreds of hours learning the strengths and weakness of 600 planes in the game, but to rise above BR 3.7 and not uninstall through frustration this is precisely what you end up doing through experience, if not direct study.
I like american planes but BnZrs in general are at a bit of disadvantage in RB against planes like the a7m since it isn't as slow as the zero and mouse aim lets you take shots much farther away than SB. especially things like the Ki-43 with cannons in RB, it can turn so fast and mouse aim is so accurate they'll shoot your tail off at .8km while extending/zooming.
Actually the P-51 was built for dog fighting and turn fighting unfortunately War Thunder is not very accurate when it comes to what aircraft were designed to do. As an example the A6M ZERO could out manuever and out climb the F4F Wildcat while tje Wildcat easily could pull away in a dive just as the P-40 could. However it could not out climb or out dive the F6 Hellcat or the F4U Corsair which both shared the same 2000hp engine along with the P47. Also the four to eight .50cal guns (depending on which aircraft you're flying) on the American aircraft would shred the Zero and turn it into a fireball because of the Zeros lack of armor and self sealing fuel tanks. A hit from a 20mm cannon from a P38 or 39 would most definitely wipe a Zero off the map.
I'm just sick of the war thunder ping and the planes are teleporting as hell and they don't move smooth. It makes them a harder target to hit and I eventually waste good cannon rounds
MagzTV you do an incredible job with these clips. I play mainly GF, but thanks to your tips I can put more or less a fight on AF. Or at least I do know now why someone turn me into cheese while it happens.
You have to pay to win. Also, you are console user like Xbox one, you must get the gold membership. The game is not worth it, people take it way too seriously. But that is modern gaming culture.
Rookie mistakes in this video: poor tactical decisions that dont take into account the differences in aircraft and put you at a disadvantage Rookie mistakes I make: how do I not go into a flat spin the moment i touch the joystick
I seldom play aircraft in War Thunder for I have hard time do strategy in 3D, but also for I only have mouse and keyboard, if I shall get a game (PC) controller what shall I get if I want to fly more in War Thunder but not want to be 100 % bound to aircraft? Great video by the way, I guess that's mistakes I will do and I hope I remember some from this video when I start to fly more.
So I think overall when you’re in something such as a Mustang or something built for Boom and Zoom and a Spitfire or anything is that close to you, I don’t think doing a noob wobble or just diving has done much good for me. If you just dive, you’re slowly gaining speed but are also in a straight and predictable path so either way, I think 9/10 times you’re fixked
Would love to see "play like a pro" on sim, where SA is a lot harder since there is no targets name plates and youre stuck in cockpit. Biggest issue i see is determining Friend from Foe, on ps4 typing in chat sucks.

as a Zero player (mainly) I ABSOLUTELY love it when Spitfires come by to say hi! They always turnfight 9 times out of 10. But yeah, I do put them in high priority in a multi-threat environment.
SwampNuts as a German player I love to dive on you’re “bombers”
@@azairencerobinson7600 I think my most commonly used phrase is "fucking 109s", after I get shot down.
As a rookie who is still getting to grips with RB, I've found all of these videos you put up really helpful! Keep em coming o7
I found that watching how others play is a good way to learn, especially when they explain what they are doing and why.

i can honestly never play War Thunder RB or AB ever again, and havent in 2 years, which bums me out, it used be so fun but now theres no teamwork, if youre dogfighting with another player next thing you know half of your team is right on your 6 trying to steal the kill, and sometimes even shooting you down in the process or to get you out of the way.... so now i just stick to the almost barren wasteland of War Thunder SB and the more fun IL2 BOS/BOM/BOK. but god i miss War Thunder RB and how it used to be.
Special thanks to Griviues for the intro :P
MagzTV I did not know Japan’s planes where good in vertical turn I told a spit to not do that because when I was dogfighting him he was doing good every time he did that
how much does this game cost?
It's free to play, no cash required ever. You CAN spend real money to speed up progression and buy special "premium" planes that are only available with real money. An example is the A7 Magz is flying for this video.
Its free as long as you don't want to spend money on premium aircraft
this is why me, as a PS4 player, is crap at air AB and RB, because we can't look back at an aircraft and control our own at the same time (with out crashing that is) so you have to guess what they are going to do, or be a sitting duck while you try and find them with the touchy controls and then try and react, but your almost always dead by that point
I have the same problems with stiffening in my D13
Thanks.
Finally some War Thunder air again :)
The dislikes are the aircraft you shot down XD
Good advertisement for the A7M1.
Reppu Stronk. Reppu v2 even stronker
this video has honestly been more helpful than a lot of "tips/trick" videos I've seen online. actual footage of actual gameplay with useful and easy-to-understand commentary. I've subscribed I'm definitely going to be taking a look through more of your content as I'm still new to war thunder and want to improve.
The extent of my defensive flying skills is what you termed the "Noob Wobble" lmfao.
Mags you make some of my favorite war thunder content. Not only do you talk about the aircraft itself, but strategies to deal with it, keep up the good work. Cheers
Yes! Thank you for returning to this style of videos. I really missed your "tutorial" videos and how you would explain the mechanics of the game, and just overall tactics and strategies for optimal engagements.
i love my p-38k, i find almost nothing can touch it while climbing, or at high energy, i can dive on my target, attack and quickly break away..its nice being able to control engagements, sadly nobody knows how to really fight them too well, another thing...that p-51 pilot just...failed horribly...i take my p-51 and engage all kinds of things but i use its high speed ability to my advantage..also the p-51d is seriously nerfed in warthunder..
wow, that's way to complicated knowing all that and every aircraft.. Guess i'm dead
Chazz Summer Don’t get discouraged, friend! It’s just a habit you build over time. When you’ve flown a lot of different aircraft, you get an idea of what flight characteristics each one has.
Basically, it's best to know when to disengage and run away from a fight.
@@azairencerobinson7600 i thought the fw 190's were the boom and zoomers? i'm only up to 2.3 German planes so i don't really know.
If you know yourself and you know your enemy, you may not fear the results of 100 battles. - SunTsu
An excellent video! I'd love to hear more advice for rookie pilots, I'm trying to get into Realistic battles myself but errors like this make it rather hard to perform well
Im new myself, and watching this and correcting my mistakes SAVED me from my planes getting shot down.
I can relate to these hints so little ... i'm already dead when they engage me the first time around so i rarely have to consider any maneuvering and dogfighting after that :D
Kyushu J7W1, please!
steve polychronopolis ive been asking for eons, good luck.
yes yeees, the shinden! the sexy 4x 30 mm!
American team in tier 4 are getting better, I don't usually see people turning with zeros anymore lol
kevin Guo yh they really have improved I was playing Hokkaido 5.0 and every one was high and we never have altitude .ripped the Brits apart
Now they don't climb at all
I've learned that if you don't know how to fly a particular plane, try starting off using Boom and Zoom. Sure, it's not the best and, with some aircraft, even suicidal. But it definitely helps me get a handle for said new plane.
Heres a moment i remember from one of my games
I was in the P-40F fighting a Ki 61 at high altitude and i only boom n zoomed him and he got away despite hempering him with alot of stealth 50 cals
Last year I was pretty critical of your wt content, but this is the Magz i remember from 2015
Thanks for this video. I been playing 2 years and watching this showed me how far I've come. Especially that noob wobble. But I've learned alot about energy by playing realistic only and hundreds of hours of dog fighting. I'm just now getting into the jets as I've only done the USA tree. I'm just starting 🇫🇷.
Things I hate about air battles:
1: if someone gets behind me I am fu/ked
the biggest advantage the a7m has isn't even an advantage.its the size of the aircraft it's big its blocky when you look at an a7m you dont expect it to do a 13g and get on your ass instantly
Size doesn't have much to do with how quickly a plane turns...
4230kg loaded weight/ 30.86m2 wing area gives it very low wing loading of only 137kg/m2
Turn rate at corner speed, however, is allways difficult to predict...
yea but it looks heavy, thats what im saying
Fair enough :)
The intro to this video was very pleasing
It's amazing how much better you play when you look into how these vehicles were used, whats their strengths and weaknesses and knowing the other vehicles strengths and weaknesses. I love studying journals of actual pilots of the vehicles and training materials. The advantage the actual pilots had with the real aircrafts would be immense due they had a lot of time to get to know their craft and the training they received with them along with the schooling on enemy planes.
I'm getting better just watching this guy
Okay. Never give up your BnZ advantage. That’s my biggest problem I always feel like I almost have my guns on target and try to dogfight
Thanks a lot, totally helped! I kept getting shot down when I flew P-38, and this is JUST the video I needed to improve!
The "Noob wobble" is actually kind of effective against low ammunition planes if you've got enough speed, as then they run out in RB and have absolutely no chance of dealing with... anything.
One plane I do that a lot to is the P51 mustang, and in some cases it has worked.
Still wouldn't recommend it above other options, but hey, if all else fails.
Thing is most pilots think it's just a game, but if u do a little research, just maybe u could last an extra minute
Pretty much always comes down to knowing you and your enemies plane use your planes strengths against your enemies weaknesses
That intro had me laughing for ages, I know his pian all too well.
Very helpful, a whole series of these would be very well received.
This is something I've learned as I mostly fly British. As a spitfire, I'm very good at a strictly turn fight, but I'm bad at vertical loops. I still find myself loosing to Japanese and Russian turn fighters though.
Magz, I regularly link people to your Energy FIghting video; I'll be doing the same in the future for this one. Great demonstration!
A very useful video. Highlighted my own errors. Especially the follow the vertical thing.
Fuckin got me grounded. I had my speakers really loud by accident and the beginning just played "FUCKS SAKE!"
"Spitfire pilots seems to be used to being the most maneuverable thing in the sky"
That is very true for me, and which is why I am always afraid when I get matched against Japanese, as I did started out in the Japanese line and know very well how easy it is to kill Spitfires.
I watched for less than a minute and laughed already(also new sub)
Awesome breakdown of those engagement Magz, thank you for taking the time to explain everything is such detail.
Love the new intro and new logo. hope all is well with you and family. Thanks for being you.
As a American Main the 3rd engagement really gave me some tips of what not to do
I'm going to Russia's 4th rank and I've never see this kind of video (I usually only read the plane's "usage in battle" info). I do make mistakes exactly like these and I think I never saw a replay to analyze myself. Now I'm afraid of appearing in your videos haha. Very useful hints.
The “Noob Wobble” if it’s spinning, is not stupid, it is strategic and lowers the chance of getting hit
Been playing war thunder for a while and these are my favorite videos of yours. Wish you had more they helped me a lot back in the day.
@@MagzGTV Thanks for the advice :)
That awkward moment at 8.7br enemies will turn fight at low altitude allowing me in an Xp50 to gank 4 or 5 of them before flying away at 790km/h
I mean when I play war thunder it’s not like I memorize which plane is good for vertical dogfights and which ones have better horsepower I just play
I'm loving these videos Magz, I know this is an older video but I'm still learning a lot from these. Trying desperately to get on your level!
Guy: goes after this guy
him: that was his first mistake
Rookie mistakes in this video: poor tactical decisions that dont take into account the differences in aircraft and put you at a disadvantage
Rookie mistakes I make: how do I not go into a flat spin the moment i touch the joystick
Good vid.
As I am new to War Thunder (only started in mid December 2017) I'd like to see some more tutorial type vids, that'd be cool.
I typically go in for ground targets with the Hellcat MkII. Is it good to strafe them at low altitude constantly?
I seldom play aircraft in War Thunder for I have hard time do strategy in 3D, but also for I only have mouse and keyboard, if I shall get a game (PC) controller what shall I get if I want to fly more in War Thunder but not want to be 100 % bound to aircraft?
Great video by the way, I guess that's mistakes I will do and I hope I remember some from this video when I start to fly more.
The problem is the p51 because of the unfair systems would die if it ran anyway because you would easily be able to shoot him down
So I think overall when you’re in something such as a Mustang or something built for Boom and Zoom and a Spitfire or anything is that close to you, I don’t think doing a noob wobble or just diving has done much good for me.
If you just dive, you’re slowly gaining speed but are also in a straight and predictable path so either way, I think 9/10 times you’re fixked
Intro is the best thing ever
Would love to see "play like a pro" on sim, where SA is a lot harder since there is no targets name plates and youre stuck in cockpit.
Biggest issue i see is determining Friend from Foe, on ps4 typing in chat sucks.
No mention of why you're flying a A7M1 over Bastogne in RB?
I'm at Tier IV and I'm still finding players whose only defensive maneuvers are diving and braking.
