VLAN CONFIGURATION IN SWITCH OS - TUTORIAL MIKROTIK [ENG SUB]

VLAN distribution on devices using Mikrotik SwitchOS
VLAN is a method that is often used to distribute several different network segments on router devices with limited physical ethernet interfaces. With this VLAN we can create as many as 4095 LAN segments in an interface. In making a VLAN there are a main parameter namely Core Port (Tagged) and Edge Port (Untagged). Maybe in other terms these two parameters are better known as Trunk Port and Access port.
Why is a VLAN needed?
It is also very important that this VLAN is used, that is, when your network becomes larger in scale and broadcast traffic becomes a burden on your entire network.
Too large a burden caused by broadcast traffic can cause your network to crash and not be as responsive as before.
In the VLAN Part 4 video series this time will explain and simulate directly for making VLANs on devices using the Mikrotik SwitchOS Operating System.
Mikrotik products that use SwOS include CSS series (Cloud Smart Switch) and CRS 3xx series (dual boot).
1. CSS series at this time the product is CSS 106 series which may often be called also by which RB260GS or RB260GSP you can chose to use POE or not. For those of you who want more Ethernet ports, you can use CSS 3xx series.
2. The CRS 3xx series is indeed a little unique compared to the CRS discussed in part 2. CRS 3xx Series supports Dual boot so we can use Router OS or SwOS. For configuring VLANs in the CRS 3xx series when using Router OS, the configuration method is exactly the same as Configuring VLANs on RouterBoard (part2).
