v6 is a really good update, I haven't seen rational complaints about it. Even the ones that disliked v5, like v6.
I remember that I started playing the game around the 3.0, and I've been through all the stages. Now we already got v7 and Erekir, it's just evolving so fast. Really great video.

I remember playing classic and thinking “ oh beta, neat let’s check it out” and the amount of differences in everything from graphics to gameplay just made me want to find the nearest exit
You got the literal opposite, classic is essentially the past of Mindustry, and where nostalgia hits hard for the veterans

I remember some of my old days. I started playing when it was in V5.
One of my best memory was seeing a huge mech spam in pvp. Of course I lost, but I was so impressed that I just spent the whole time laughing until the round ended.
In fact I even recorded it.
In V5, there is no unit cap so spamming units was the meta.

v6 is a huge update compared to others, I wanted to cover it in a seperate video and focus on the anicent past of Mindustry, though I do apologize for skimming through it

the draug moments were so sweet, super cheap. i mean mono is not a bad deal either since you can still make it out of just copper and lead (the factories for it can be made like that)
Ahh i loved the old memories i made in old Mindustry.. Enemies at those times seemed pretty easy to me though
I found Mindustry at a version of v3
Enemies were easy since there was no bosses or guardians back then, they were dependent on quantity
Great video! I learnt about the existence of the game only after the last update.
But there could be just a little bit more time to read the text. I had to rewind and pause a few times to read all content. But it might be due to the fact that I'm not an English native speaker. 🙂
This is a fairly old video so my inexperience may have caused the video to be slightly hard to read. Don't worry though! For the next one, I'll be sure the duration for the text will be long enough.

What a gamee! I started around v3... Remember having lots of fun seeing how much i last on every map... And then see all the changes coming, and for good... I really try to get ppl to play this game, is so enjoyable alone and whit friend... Just thinking that we started whit a few maps and now we have an entire world to conquer... This game came a long way, and it's still going... Hopes to see another video whit the new v7 thats coming

Underrated
1:41 I REMEMBER THIS
I randomly came across mindustry in the play store while it was on a version which didn't yet have a power system
I played it a bit then the power system got added then played a bit more and stopped
I introduced my friend to it some time after that and we played then stopped again
I resumed playing mindustry and noticed there were some new things like the weapon evolutions and servers so I kept playing and stopped
fast forward I decided to check on the game again after some months and realized how much had changed(version 4 point 0)(my dot and comma key are broken sorry)
out of a sudden the graphics went from pixel style to a more polygon shaped design
I liked the pixel version because I was used to it but now i don't reven remember it properly
I remember that units used to have no limits to how many you could build in a specific version which meant that you could have like 3 factories and end up with dozens of units
I did end up playing with a version that had height on the terrain which made it more challenging(and annoying) to build in
I roughly remember the pre v6 units
Omega as a slow tanky and hard hitting ground unit
delta as a fast low hp with arc turrets
Trident as a flying unit with very fast build speed and bomber
Dart as the default unit
Javelin as a very very fast air unit I don't remember how it attacked
I still have the v5 names of units (like lich and reaper) engraved in my mind

this video reminds me of my first time playing mindustry back in 2017 on an android phone
about the fog of war, i think it exists in the game for a few versions, because there was a time when the first thing i do whenever i join a map is going around to reveal the entire map
Yeah, fog of war _was_ a thing but was removed in a final decision (probably)
so I started playing mindustry classic about 3 years ago, but gave up after the difficult to understand mechanics
a year and a half ago I remembered the game existed and went to play it
I was confused on the new icon and esentially everything because I didn't know If it's another game or smth.
played it for a bit, got to craters then took a break(I was playing on mobile)
I find out you can play it on pc and restart with a data import. I get some of my friends accustomed to the game and in early july-August I buy the game on steam(it was mostly to support anuke, didn't know of built-in multiplayer servers) . Then my fiends buy it too and we start playing. even though I bough the game in August I was also playing on the bleeding edge builds for v6, cause it looked cool. the problems I encountered were the loss of data(lost everything), the fact that then you had to research everything, including resources to be able to use them(you had to pay mostly using materials under them or used to make them(you needed pyra to research blast for example), plus everything was extremely expensive. I was a lazyass so I didn't update the version I had downloaded often, so my things were old. in the end, v6 gets released on steam as a beta and play it there, getting my friends to play on it too from time to time(they had mods and didn't want to lose everything yet) we were playing mostly in survival or pvp and rarely on camping as at the point you wouldn't get resources nor the sector when you're a guest (now you get resources). the rest is history, as now we're trying to get the interplanetary part from v7(anuke mentioned that v7 is split between the line of v6 and v7 and the interplanetary part(things like 0g convs or sand crushers etc).
the game is a good experience, with the price of learning what each thing does. (and complaining about why the night is so dark on a planet without a moon only to make night more like dusk)

You forgot the legendary build 63. Like a phase between v3 and v4. Really, really good.
I might've been inactive during the v4 era, I don't know much about it. There's also the fact that there's no .apk file for pre-v4 releases so it's hard to get video footage and check out what's there.

Mindustry is really tiring on mobile especially that the option ain't huge and your stuck manually tapping router junction combo and being confused about those tunnel( ends up deleting a whole line cause it was just misaligned)
And yes the pads, no wonder I feel something lacking when I played again like "I know that I can upgrade my character, what is that option again?"

Damn i remembered when i first started mindustry then maybe 2 weeks later joined my first server in mindustry and damn it went well. We even had the snek just ultra massive version of it. And the next day v6 just got released and just got amazed by the new features. Damn. Also someone should make a mod that adds in an equivalent of da snek

Sure, infinite throughput was nice to have but it broke the balance and rendered all other transportation methods inferior, but a mod is fine for those who truly want it back.

I'm suprised that this video is made with kinemaster,mobile edit apps don't have much features so I use 3 (power Director ,kinemaster and alight motion)

Most mobile video editors have basic features, enough to use videos to post on social media. However, Kinemaster can be used both casually and professionally, as it has a ton of features you won't see anywhere else. I've used PowerDirector, but their assets are lacking.
I tried to search for hours for a modded 1.16, but it's always either outdated or not working.
@@Gwapo maybe you need to search on UA-cam, they usually have links, or modded app stores,still might need to download a bunch to find one work, but totally worth it
@@Gwapo I have been using powerdirector for years so I edit faster using it lol, I will export and edit again on another edit app if I need to, powerdirector don't have much features(also less layers) but simple and fast,kinemaster is better but I'm not very good at using it, alightmotion have many effects but don't support high solution video

Going down memory lane because you watched my videos, I am honored.
Yeah, a lot changed since then. Mindustry has been always changing significantly, yet only one developer does it all. This video doesn't even cover half of everything, some info not being covered in v1-v5 and this video being made when v6 was a bit new, and now v7 is being developed along with jaw-dropping announcements such as Mindustry Sequel and Animdustry.

Dart only spawns on the core not on the mech pads and also that is the alpha mech pad and javelin is an air ship not a ground mech 6:15

Dart can spawn on both the core and it's mech pad.
That isn't an Alpha mech pad, it's a Dart.
I know that Javelin is a ship, but the internal name is "javelin-mech-pad", I showed the mechs to not confuse people.
The alpha mech pad only spawns alpha not dart and jalevin is a ship not a mech
Upon after research, I realized that the so called "dart-mech-pad" was in fact an alpha mech pad, yet somehow misnamed. You can however switch to the Dart ship with all of the mech pads.
Again, I know Javelin is a ship, but I went with what the internal name is which is "javelin-mech-pad."
