EAMS State Race 602 late Models 9/22/24

Night 1 (for us) at East Alabama Motor Speedway for the 52nd Annual Alabama State Championships. Just one round of hot laps. Austin ended up 2nd overall out of 43 cars in the 602 Sportsman class.
Day 2 at EAMS State Race…. The mornings hot lap session we were 2nd fastest of out 53 cars. Since there were so many, qualifying was split into 2 groups. Austin got a late draw in the 2nd group. Weren’t quite as good in these track conditions and ended up 9th in our group. They only locked in the top 8 out of each group so Austin will start on the pole in the 2nd-10 lap B-main race Sunday morning. They are taking the top 4 to transfer to the 40 lap feature race!
Day 3 at the Alabama State Race at EAMS. Austin won his B-main which put him starting 18th in the 40 lap feature race. Austin was able to avoid multiple wrecks and made it up to 13th. On lap 24 our rear end broke. Disappointing end to our weekend. But we are super proud for making the race in our first season on dirt. Ended up 16th on the finishing order.
