Manvir paagi tons and tons of thanks for making me realize the ACTUAL Sikh code of conduct...this is true paagi memu lagda ki pakka hai more than 70% of Punjab's sikh dont know this including me...iss hizab naal ta ethe kujj hor hi hunda peya eya...and paagi i think in this manner Sikhi is ALREADY dead...cause i am quite sure no one is going to revert back...including my family and relatives...
But anyways bahut bahut zada dhanwaad...

Waheguru....The Sikh wedding is called the Anand Karaj....Ceremony of bliss....it consists of 4 "Lavan tha paart".Each time your Lavan finishes you bow down and then accept that Lavan.Then the second Lavan starts you walk around the Guru Granth Saheb Ji bow down and accept.You carry on with the same.After the 4th Lavan....you are considered married.They may then sing some shabad..and Ardass will happen at the end...there is no ring ceremony...A court/civil marriage should be done according to the country you reside in...but there is not much else.I hope this helps.waheguru
I forgot to add that each time you bow down to guru ji you are accepting an Oath.So,you are taking 4 Oaths just like an Oath in court except this time it's Guru Ji's court room.When I got married we did a very short Milni and had our Anand Karaj,the guests ate in the gurdwara.
