TEACHERS: This video is an ukulele classroom lesson that was designed for students! If you have purchased the book students can follow along with their work sheet. My students do SO WELL when they see images and text on video. Play this video for them for a few classes until they have memorized the content.
After that, you'll be able to use this vocabulary to communicate with your students and your life will be much easier!

Can you do a video teaching how to read ukulele tabs? Like, the ones that have numbers in-between the lines
I love that idea ❤
Speaking of which, I'd love to see a tutorial from you about playing the barre chords. They are really challenging for me as a beginner.
Lesson 3 done. Thanks so much Ms B!
Thank you for doing these videos!!!!!! :-) I am an auditory/visual learner so it was very hard for me just from the book but I can really concentrate when you explain. Hope for Music is in the air :-D
Hi Danka!
I completely understand. I am an auditory learner as well! And most of my classroom students learn best through video, so these videos really help out! Glad you're feeling optimistic about your musical journey :)
please do a video teaching how to read ukulele notes like really sightreading, hope you notice this. thank you
Wow! Love your videos! Keep up the good work :)
Great lesson. I followed along with my guitar. I still can't instantly identify the names of the notes on the staff.
Feels like I'm playing by ear. Phenomenal editing work btw. Must have taken forever.
Thank you so much, Kevin! Recently editing these videos has taken more time, but I am getting better at it, which reduces the amount of time I'm spending on them. This was the first Uke 101 video with a staff and bar lines, so that took a while, but the next ones should be much easier to do.
Glad you followed along on guitar. Just practice this video 5 times and you'll grow comfortable reading from the staff. I promise.
Yes I will. Thanks..

I don’t see any further lessons on tabs and reading music on your page. Can you (or anyone) recommend more that I can read and play along with?
I got confused for a moment. I was thinking "what is she saying?" (time signature) then I realized it was 4/4. Good lesson. Thank you Ms. B. 👍🤗
yeah... in the past I have stayed away from theory-heavy lessons, but now that we are following the book, we are doing them!
I like that! It helps me understand something from the ground up. I'm following along in the book.
Oh! Good :) that’s really good to hear! Thank you for the feedback!
Right on, Bernadette!.....:)
thank you, Greg!
Where did you get that cute ukulele decoration?
my mom made it :)
Bernadette Teaches Music wow!👍
i wanna buy a ukulele that has a slotted headstock and a plug in and a strap button but i dont find a good cheap one my budget is 90 euros, its not a lot i know. Do you know a good one that has all these things? if i don't find one that has all these options that fit in my budget, i was planning on buying the enya euc-70 but i dont know if that is a good one either
Hey! I'm using the Enya EUT-X1 in this video and I absolutely love it. How much does it cost in Europe?
How are the reviews on the EUC-70?
the one that you are using can't ship to Belgium and i dont know what the reviews are and i dont find an unboxing or a review so i dont know if it is a good one or not
I messaged the company to see what options they may have for you. I’ll let you know what they say ;)
Thank you for helping, Darrell!
Hey! The company responded and they said the following
"Yes, as he said, I think the concert 70 and tenor 70 are a good choice for him because they match his requirements. This ukulele is selling well at the moment and is cost-effective. The tenor X1 you are playing is a little higher than his budget, but is also a good choice."
Cool Video, I'll check out the book!
Lesson three done! Yay
