I still adore Audie Murphy he was a very humble man from humble beginnings... Audie never forgot where he came from and lived with the sad deep loss of his beloved Mom for the rest of his life...💔 Audie was the most highly decorated soldier of WWll at the tender age of 18 years... He had been awarded every medal American could bestow on him... While still only 18 and incommand of his men, stranded alone to fight the enemy Audie his men back into the trees, called for over head fire on his own position, stood on top of a USA tank destroyer and fired for over an hour.... He killed the enemy coming within 9 or 10 yards of his position... The enemy knew exactly where Audie was but couldn't kill him because God stood by his side, though he was wounded... The little man from Texas made the enemy turn tail and run.... Once his ammunition had run out Audie slide down off the tank and retuned to his men in the tree line, refused treatment for his wound, organized his men and they advanced to round up enemy prisoners.... Audie Murphy had total guts, determination of not wanting the enemy to gain an inch of ground where possible, he was a real patriot to his country, brave man, crack shot, plus he was a giant of a man whom only stood 5 foot 5 and half inches tall.... Audie witnessed more than most men will ever witness in a few short years... That tormented him for the rest of his mortal life, witnessing children being orphaned and digging in trash cans for food to stay alive was a devastating part of war that haunted and never left him.... Audie Murphy returned to America to his family, went on to become a best selling author, became a movie actor, composed and arranged music, wrote songs mostly country music, wrote poetry, became a beloved husband and beloved father to two wonderful sons.... The enemy couldn't kill Audie Murphy but the aircraft he was flying in on the fateful day in May 1971 took his life far to soon when it crashed into the side of the mountain in Virginia USA.... That day I cried at the loss of this beautiful humble man along with his family, friends and fans world wide.... Since I was a child of 6 years of age I have loved, respected, admired, adored and honoured Audie Murphy as he has always been my hero both in his life time and still today.... Major Audie Leon Murphy is the one man that everyone should espire to be like in their own lives.... REST IN ETERNAL PEACE NOW MAJOR AUDIE LEON MURPHY..... YOU PLAYED YOUR PART IN YOUR LIFE TIME SO WELL, YOU SACRAFICED SO MUCH NOW YOU ARE RESTING IN PEACEFUL SLUMBER........YOU ARE DEEPLY MISSED, FONDLY REMEMBERED AND FOREVER LOVED TO THE STARS AND BEYOND 💔 I miss my gentle giant, my hero whom taught me many lessons in my life and I try extra hard even now to hold to lessons taugh, I cherish them.
