Thanks. Just took it out for a test run. Perfect. Almost nothing in the filters after about 10 miles on dusty roads. The real test will be when we go out and ride behind someone all day though.

Hi would 3 2inch snorkels work ? Air , Cvt intake and exhaust ? Great job on yours .

Thanks...this one was from a long time ago and things have changed much sense then. Many do use a 2" but know that the inlet on the airbox works out to be 2.23" so a 2.25" ID would be better then 2"ID. And the CVT is actually closer to 3". The 2" will work but know there will be some restriction and certain times. This is what mine looks like today with the cage-chop mod and Donaldson TopSpin.

Just had to replace my Motor due the the design of the Air Filter placement. This is good to see. Thanks for posting. Clean your filters all the time on these CF 800. Bad design!

Yeah, get the intakes out from where it is, put a Unifilter in the box...and if you can, put another one before it like I did. I have an oversized one in the box and a regular one in that stack can. Don't even think about driving it at all with any stock CFM filter.

@@nmkawierider Where did you get the Can? I like the way you designed this one.

@@rongmeiner329 Got them off ebay. I removed the shitty paper one from the engine side and adapted-in a Unifilter. The other one, I left cause I need to be able to clear it on the trail for the CVT fo having a dry-type was best there. Both are 3". The ones I got were a little more but just like these to start with: www.ebay.com/itm/3inch-Carbon-Fibre-Cold-Air-Filter-Feed-Enclosed-Intake-Induction-Pipe-Hose-Kit/124270418487?hash=item1cef181a37:g:MLMAAOSw2A9ecEqm

Hey do you have a link for the helper fan and the inline filters?

I use a cheep 120cfm and cut the legs off but this one is 130cfm so it would be better: www.ebay.com/itm/3In-in-Line-Bilge-Air-Blower-Cooling-Fan-130CFM-12V-Marine-Boat-Caravan/174114610669?hash=item288a0a1ded:g:wikAAOSw1bNd5f79 Then the inline cans I used were these but the filters suck and had to replace the one for the engine air with a Unifilter. The other one I left as it was a dry type and is easy to clear on the trail if needed...and believe me...its needed sometimes. These: www.ebay.com/itm/3inch-Filter-Box-Carbon-Fiber-Car-Induction-Ram-Cold-Air-Intake-System-Hose-70mm/254094553855?hash=item3b293732ff:g:-iQAAOSw7R9cSn1z Good luck with yours. I'm thinking about a Particle Separator now.

Did you eliminate the air filter in air box

• @nmkawierider
@nmkawierider  4 роки тому

No. I did install a very oversized Unifilter in the stock air box and plumbed 2.5" to 3" turbo pipe with silicone connections to the 3" stacks where I have another Unifilter in the engine-side can filter and a dry-type filter in the CVT intake side for quick cleaning. They have been shortened now to this: imgur.com/FmRNetL

Cool! That should work much better, need me to come back down and test it out again? haha

• @nmkawierider
@nmkawierider  7 років тому

Lol..sure! Even though you guys used low more then I would have it should have lasted much longer so..that was just icing on the cake for the decision to complete these. I need it to go a week in Sipapu without issues..and when it does, be easy to clear. Two clamps and the filter is off. Flush it with water and stick it back on.

are you just a guy that has to tinker with everything or do these machine require all these mod's you've done to be dependable?clutch, shifter, shocks, brakes and now 2 different mods to the air filter system? makes me shy away from CF Moto!

• @nmkawierider
@nmkawierider  7 років тому +2

Nope, just a tinkerer that wants things tuned-in to my needs closer. And.. sometimes you start down a path that's longer them you expect or that would have been better left alone...lol

• @milehighhydroguy
@milehighhydroguy 7 років тому

Yeah! I hear that! I am ready to pull the trigger on a Trail SXS and the Z Force is hard to ignore with all that is included on the "stock" machine but the one thing they don't have is the dependability reputation like a Honda does......BUT! that Honda Pioneer 500 is "Fugly" and maybe a bit under powered. Still have to make up my mind which way to go! Polaris is out from all my investigation, just way too many problems with them.

• @nmkawierider
@nmkawierider  7 років тому +4

Well, for the money the ZForce 800 isn't bad. Its not a YXZ or an X3 or any other high-end-balls-out machine but for the average rider that just wants to get out there, play and explore , and get back, its pretty good. Some things you have to do are- replace the airfilter with a TwinAir or Uni before your first ride. The stock paper filter strains-out the gravel but that about it. Then they are known to have thermoswitch(Fan Switch) failures that can cause overheating. Rig a by pass just in case. Overheating kills these. And change the oil often at first, then often enough to keep it real fresh. Oh and go through it once in a while and tighten up all the bolts...especially suspension-related. That's it

@@nmkawierider I've had every issue you described. However, since I have replaced many stock parts, I'm really starting to like this machine. i'm going to review your clutch video again, I've added some weight so its time for B2. Awesome how to videos and thanks for sharing.
