I bought this and ended up putting a Raspberry Pi in it so it could play anything. I still ended up getting rid of it after less than a year because of how small it is and the poor quality of the wood. I also wanted a real coin door and while I did fit one to this, it was on that flimsy front piece. I eventually got rid of it for a full size DIY cabinet and it feels so much more authentic.
Sweet buddy. Glad ya upgraded. I know how much you love MK2! Looks way better, and much closer to the arcade cab. The marquee doesn’t look washed out like the old one. Have to play when I come back. That toob’n bezel was a nice touch. Good comparison. Sucks ya forgot to flip the camera. I hate when I do that.
@@PiN_MiKE thanks dauuuude! Yeah I woulda reshot some of it but the main comparison footage was all the wrong way so ize like oh well can’t reshoot it without the old cab haha
@@maveh221 oh man I need more practice on that one. I’m about to head to bed right now but I’ll do some more testing with it and get back to you. The controls seemed really weird on that one and I just can’t recall enough to give any details at the moment. It seemed to have a couple of different control options but again I’d have to boot it up and make some notes lol. My initial thoughts were I don’t remember this game feeling so complicated as a kid in the arcades haha
@@maveh221 sorry for the late reply! I just booted up defender and I’ll try to explain to you the way the controls are laid out ha ha. If you would rather me do a video sometime, I can try to do that. So there’s two types normal and simplified. I believe the only difference in these two is that you can control reverse and thrusters with the left joystick on simplified controls. Both control schemes have hyperspace(player 2 run button), smart bomb (player 2 low punch), thrust(player 2 block),and fire(player 2 high kick or low kick) If you decide to use the regular normal controls, you have to use that same setup but reverse is controlled with player 1 run or low punch buttons. So it seems super complicated to me but I don’t really remember how the old arcade was actually laid out. Hope this helps! Again let me know if you prefer a video and I’ll try and make that happen😜👍
