No cure currently but investigation is going on into the tau protein and neurofibrally tangles present within the Brain. For any treatments to be approved worldwide, this requires fda approval and various clinical studies which can take up to 15 years to be approved. This is common practice for most drugs and treatments. Clinical phases are undertaken such as phase 1 phase 2 to check the safety side effects and approval by the regulatory bodies
However, an exception did occur with regards to corona virus treatments and vaccinations which were fast tracked due to the pandemic
