Ran into him at our local Taco joint a couple years ago. I just went up to him said what's up and gave him a fist bump. He replied back with "hey man" and a big smile like we were old friends. Didn't even feel like he was a celebrity or worried about people seeing him. Just a regular dude waiting for his taco's. 😎
Met him at Dade city raceway back when I was 15 (44 now). Super down to earth guy and didn’t mind some teenage kid wanting to talk his head off before and in between each race. Was a HUGE fan back before meeting him. Thanks a million IceMan. Made my day back then, and meant a lot to me. Happy you’re doing well.
Anybody who lives in Palm Beach County has a story of meeting Rob. He lives like a local and he is respected as a local. He goes to the regular breakfast and lunch spots when he is in town. He sits down and eats and people drop by and say hi and keep it moving. The guy is the most patient celebrity I've ever seen. I haven't ever heard ANYBODY say he was rude or didn't take a second to say hello. NEVER. And above and beyond all of that he is a HUGE supporter of our local schools, especially the schools focused on the arts. He judges their versions of awards shows and he donates money. He never toots his own horn but he definitely remembers the days when he was a hungry artist and he pays it forward.
It’s nice to see someone from my childhood, now as an adult who is well, adjusted cool and still killing it.thanks for being a stand up guy man.I appreciate you👊
Met him at a concert many years ago. The OG, he's exactly the same as he is in this video. Super down to earth, great vibes and always smiling. My childhood idol. Still have that photo where we're caught in a rap battle with some random dude backstage. Greatest of memories!
My 29yr old son loves this shit! Even though he became a paraplegic because of it. Still rides on a video game that he races in and builds tracks and designs and sells gear in this way. Hook him up.
I met Rob at a track in Forida .He said hi im Rob . Later that night my buddy said that was Vanilla Ice i was like noway he was super chill great guy .
Yes ! Bevo!! I was at LA coliseum in 1986 getting ready for a practice I was cleaning my Oakley goggles he asked why I wore those I said it’s all I have and. He took it from me and gave me two brand new Scott goggles!! And I will never forget that day
No I don’t I used the heck out of them and were in my mom’s garage until the witch sister started throwing things in garbage just to move in and have free rent that dam b_ch but I’ll have the memory forever
I met him at Lake Havasu in '95 at the jetski World Finals. I got a picture with him and Victor Sheldon at Body beach. He was just hanging out like everyone else. A couple days later we were at Kokomos bar. I was sitting at the bar with some friends. He came to the bar and ordered a drink, looked at me, and started talking to me. He remembered me from the beach. He asked if I was going to body beach the next day . I said ya, and he said I'll see ya there. My buddies were looking at me like how the hell do you know VI. He's totally down to earth kind of guy, just loving life.
This is great to watch👍 luckily I grew up in the same era and I still remember the day when good old Vanilla Ice came out on cassette tape. Mom and Dad rush me down to the local Warehouse😂music...... and I lived in Lake Elsinore through my teenage years. Was just telling my nephew the other day about Robert's real name. He had no idea. Much love and respect🫡✌️
Ya really. Can almost guarantee the majority of people who clowned on or tried to play / take advantage of him back in the day, aren’t sitting nearly as pretty as he is now
I remember an old interview with him when randomly half way through this sit down interview he said “let’s go ride” -and he meant RIGHT NOW😂He jumped on one of his bikes and the camera crew had to follow him in a car as he rode in the ditch along side a highway and he was jumping entire roads from the ditch. Completely illegal 😂 It was totally wild.
That’s awesome to see all of your collection and man I’ll never forget seeing you in 99 at Atlanta Supercross and I got to meet you and we talked about riding and you were there with Jeremy McGrath and I will never forget it and you told me that you would come near where I live and you did a few months after to Banana Joes and I talked to you there as well Great memories #VanillaIce
I just remembered something, I carried it around with me to show everyone I had it lol, great times, I’m 47 and still a great memory, I should be saying thank you.
The second i heard he was into dirt bikes, I thought. maybe this guy has a beat I should listen too. 30yrs later. i finally get to see the proof! Thanks Rob for being an Original DBK. And get them to stop... and listen!!
I was around 10 when Ice Ice Baby came out and it was thrashed on the radio along with MC Hammer and was pretty cool for a minute. Looking at his bio the dude has had a mad life and has actually done some cool stuff to back up his image. Props for that.
Definitely a down to earth man. I use to operate cranes for a company down south in our state. I met him and he is a good guy. No plugs for the company. He knows who Iam talking about.
My neighbor in Wellington. He was a little douchy back in the day but he made some cash! Hahahaha. So I don't blame him. The song was big and cool for a while. My old next door neighbor is a high end wallpaper guy. He only works in million dollar homes. He knows him and said he is a great guy. So that is good enough for me. I started riding in the 70s, so anybody that rides is cool.
I’m glad he is still doing good. He deserves it. They tried to steal his music back in the day….Suge Knight and his thugs. Watch Vanillas interview on how that went down. Vanilla Ice all the way!!
Nothing but respect for this man who has such respect for what was really important to him in life. It might seem like the simple things to others - but its what was the Most Meaningful regardless if it cost anything or not. He's worked for what he's got & you can tell he has a special pride in his possessions. Which he rightfully earned in every single way! He's definitely proved himself to be such an Amazing person over the years!! ❤🖖🎶❤️
I was a youngster in the 90s an vanilla ice i was your biggest fan i even wrote vanilla ice in my hair, wish u would bring bac vanilla ice, if u did a tour around da world singing all your songs ppl would come to watch u would make a killing i even still watch your movie as cool as ice. Your the one who got me into bike from dat movie i brought a honda repsol 1000. Im 42 now an would still like to meet u but im from Australia
Let me start from the beginning, ice ice baby for one. But my favorite memory of the Iceman is from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II :the secret of the ooze. i’m a huge fan. I’ve watched every episode to Vanilla Ice Project. I know five times. I’m watching it as I write this comment. I have a 13 month year old son that can’t go without listening to ice ice, baby ninja rap and vanilla Sprite every day. He lights up every time any vanilla ice song comes on. He even loves the joy burst song and he dances every time the songs are on ..just like ice I’m a huge ninja turtle fan. I even made my son a huge ninja turtle fan I just recently finished watching Vanilla Ice Project Every season again for the fifth time two days ago I’m watching season eight episode 10 right now because I noticed that the house that you are living in the house from season eight what made me notice was the garage. favorite line.. word to your mother.!!🧊🧊👼🏻
Oh yeah by the way, I was born in 89. My earliest memory of vanilla ice is probably four years old. I listen to the cassette tape on my Walkman cassette player.
Nice man! My 11 month old girl bops hard to ice ice baby every day… the moment the song starts she claps and bops. Bro I actually get told off for hyping her up you much listening to it haha
Well, I noticed today, so I’m a correct myself the garage he walks to is from season eight of the vanilla ice project. But the theater that he is sitting in in the beginning of this video is from season two of the vanilla ice project. So now I’m a little confused.
Robs house is fire there is another video of it him showing off what he can do contribution wise and he has some cool design features. Like the washer and dryer in the master closet.
Cant believe you have a CR Elsinore, I have a little 74 MR50 Elsinore. I'd love to have a whole Elsinore collection. Hell, if I had the money i'd buy every 70's & 80's Honda and Kawasaki dirt bike I could find.
Aye Ice, I'm up here in Sherman, TX, I know a place you use to stay at around from where i live. You remember a big house with a room over the parking spot connected to a smaller part of the house? I don't know how else to describe it but it has a tennis court and every christmas they warap all the trees in red and white. This would have been off 1417 not far from Foxworth Galbraith and Wilson n Jones.

He’s got a good life. Seems genuinely happy and humble. Ever met him but seems like a genuine guy
If you were to list his talents and work skills it definitely is a way higher number than most rap artists of the 90's

It's great to see the Iceman happy, healthy and doing well.
We need more people like him.....just a happy camper.
I always follow Vanilla Ice career, always waiting for VI to put out an album. Still waiting. Plz put one out soon.
Honestly I think it would actually do well if he did. There would be a lot of people who would give it a listen just on the strength of his name
Was really great man. Thanks for sharing. The deck for the CR was sick. Keep it real. Love you man
Always liked the Ice Man. Legendary
I met him and rode with him way back in the day at Air Dania. Super good time!
You gotta respect ROB’S business acumen he is very successful by any standard
It looks like Ice has been blessed his whole life. Good for him. I was too poor to own dirtbikes as a young man.
High Point 1997 was the muddiest race I've ever been to
