IGAD joins negotiations on Sudan’s conflict

IGAD Executive Director Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu arrived in Jeddah to co-facilitate the talks together with the AU, U.S. and Saudi Arabia to achieve a humanitarian ceasefire. IGAD, however, says ongoing engagements with Sudanese stakeholders will continue to support a Sudanese-led and owned comprehensive process to take place in the IGAD region.
