    Such an elegant looking town.
Just like that anime called Spirited Away.
Went there back in 2016. Loved every bit of it.

I love Hoi An and love ❤️ Vietnam 🇻🇳. I’ve been to Hoi An twice. The second time was for a few weeks and during Tet / New Year. A whole street was dedicated to selling flowers 💐. I love getting clothes tailor made. Great restaurants and cafes and food. I love the coffee. And another favorite thing was renting a motorcycle and riding in the country side. The rice fields are beautiful

swampzoid, it is a very beautiful town. :) The beach is just fabulous. The sand is so fine that it is not so coarse like those on the beaches in the USA.

swampzoid It is one of the better towns to see, they speak very good English there also. They are savvy business people so use your head. You must also see old quart Hanoi!! It was my favorite experience... You can contact me for further advice.

Hi there, one of the value things you will get from a trip is the place you will stay here, find a hotel nears the old town. One of the hotels I know in Hoian is the La residencia boutique, the staff there is so friendly

Another thing about Hoi An is that you never see any police or military forces there at all. It is almost like the town has no police at all so I am guessing that there is no crime in the town at all or virtually no crime there.

The UNESCO World Heritage Site Hoi An is in my opinion the prettiest town in the world. The ancient town is quite unique, special, and magical. It is breathtaking by day, but it really comes to life by night when the streets are lit up with colorful and beautiful lanterns. It's a quiet spectacular sight to see in person. It's as if you stepped back in time 500 years ago. By the way, booking a hotel room by person the day you get there, is difficult. Book your room for 3 or 4 nights at least 2 weeks in advance, which will help make your trip more enjoyable.

I was never at the port, but I was there. I was at the Dongan Beach Hotel. Next to it was a store owned by a Vietnamese family who had two very beautiful girls. I had a crush on the younger one. I wished I had asked her for her name and her phone number!! I could have sworn that I had taken a picture of the two girls, but I can't find it. :(

Vietnamese culture and people are similar to other East Asian countries. China has robbed most of the territory and assimilated most of the "ancient Bach Viet" tribes. The only tribe that conquered China for thousands of years was Lac Viet (Vietnam), người Viet Nam migrated and expanded its territory southward. So even though Vietnam is located in Southeast Asia, they are East Asians like Singapore. Vietnamese culture has not been widely promoted because the economy has been devastated by the war for thousands of years. Vietnam's entertainment industry is not invested as strongly as China, Japan, and Korea, so the world does not know Vietnam.
